Homestead Roofing Company

We have used them for years. They were very honest, that's something I really like about them. If they find that something was not a problem but appeared to be a problem, they will say so. If they do not think they found the source of the problem though they will tell me that and tell me to keep my eye on whatever it was and they would come back if they need to. Once or twice we have had some minor problems with the things they had to do and they have always come back and made good on it. They have soldered proper gutters. There was a storm that knocked down our covered gutters. They have always done very good work. We think they were not any better roof company they could ever come up with. I will not use anybody else.

I asked them if they could figure out if the roof was leaking into the third story of my place. They came out and did look and found a little spot, which they repaired and did not charge me for anything. They have been very good all along. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

I found that the price was high for about 4 hours' work; but they insisted on the high cost of materials. When they clean gutters, they seem to neglect downspouts. We have had blockage there with and quot;waterfallsand quot; off the roof during heavy rainfalls. Generally, a good company to work with.

This company needs nudging to come out within a certain time frame. They make intelligent, practical estimates and do a good job when they come. I find their prices, per hour worked, a bit steep; but, they claim that the material costs are expensive. Compared to other roofers we've had, this company is superior. The owner should keep a sharp eye out so that they replace slates with matching colors or colors that are approximate. Now, a year later, we are satisfied that our garage roof no longer leaked duriing the past winter. They clean up after themselves. Prompt responses. An efficient company.

They were very professional and were very detailed. They were very prompt in scheduling the work and having the work done according to the quote. They went above and beyond on helping us. They were very friendly and polite. They weren’t the cheapest, but they knew exactly what they were talking about. They were experienced.

Easy to work with and schedule quotes on the weekends. They come back and perform work during the week when we don't need to be home, making it very convenient. Upfront quotes and no surprises.

Overall, the experience was good. We had contracted the work back in the fall, but didn't get the work done until just recently due to the weather. They're very thorough in what they do, and actually they wouldn't do some work until previous work was corrected (that needed to be corrected). I'm happy with their services.

They came out very quickly and got the job done. We were so thrilled that they were able to come out quickly. We have used them in the past to install electric cables for the roof and gutters and we were satisfied then as well.

Homestead Roofing did a very good job. The vents were installed properly and the replacement tiles look great. I would definately use them again.

Homestead gave us an estimate promptly and completed all repairs in a timely way. The actual price was what was estimated. They were friendly and courteous.

They repaired an older roof. The tiles aren't made anymore but they had replacements that matched. Two guys came to the house and did the work very quickly. One guy returned on another day to paint some areas around the chimney. These guys were friendly, courteous and did excellent work.

It was very good. They were outstanding at that time. They were very professional and on time. I would definitely have recommended them. Prices were reasonable.

It was easy once I committed to the work being done.

The work was finished quickly (no more than a couple of hours). I have to take most of the repairs on trust. (I can't watch them as they replace each tile or climb up on the roof to check.) However, I have employed this company to maintain the roof for several decades, and the roof has weathered 40 some winters, so I do trust them to do the job they promise. Of course, their price has been going up and up over the years!

They were excellent - they worked quickly and repaired everything as they quoted in a professional and proper manner. They kept the jobsite clean as well. A slate roof is something that needs to be maintained and watched on a regular basis and I plan to use Homestead for all of my future roof work.

Good communication. They stated hourly rate before beginning. The man worked efficiently and quietly. The work was inspected by my yardman (who also does gutters) and was found to be satisfactory.

They were absolutely outstanding. They were extremely fast, very efficient and very thorough. Their clean up was great.

Work is good when you can get it done or get them or have them return a call.

I couldn't be happier. Bought my house two years ago and the slate roof looked like it had been neglected for a long time. Slates missing everywhere and lots of small leaks in the interior. Sign of a large leak in the past along a valley where a coating (tar?) had been used to repair the valley that failed. Homestead was quick to return my call. Very thorough in their assessment. Gave me a detailed drawing of the roof and recommended work to be done. Provided me with an estimate within the week. They suggested that I get a second bid. They were not the cheapest but they were very close and were most cheaper than others I got quotes from. Once I signed the contract they gave me an estimate of when they could get the work done. They arrived very close to that date. Their crew finished the work in a day or two. They cleaned up everything so that I hardly knew they had been there. After the work was finished, they checked in to see what I thought and they even came out to inspect. At that time they replace a few more slates that had been missed. Great company. I will use them in the spring to get some additional work done.

They worked efficiently and got the work done carefully. I had another one of my workers inspect their job and he found it to be excellent.

They did a great job and will be installing a new roof for us in the spring. The senior technicians are very proactive and inform you of the work you will need to do so you can plan ahead.

They have been our roofers for more than 30 years now. They are excellent. We have a slate tiled roof. It requires a reasonable amount of skills to work with these tiles as they are relatively brittle. The guys, who come out every year to replace broken tiles, are exceptional. As the tiles are not easily available, they are very careful with the tiles. They come every other year to check the roof. They are very quick and effective. They are also very reasonably priced. We don’t have any complaints with them.

They're prompt, clean up after themselves, and the prices are reasonable.

Although their listing says they do work on half-round gutters and gutter replacements, when I contacted them, I was pointedly told they do not. They obviously need to amend their listing details. I guess they might be your "go-to" guys if you need roof work.
