I was, and am, extremely impressed with every facet of the service I was provided with. From professional demeanor to affordability, to scheduling, I was pleased all-around. In addition, the job took longer than I initially thought it would take because I decided to expand the scope of the job after Rick arrived. Rick stayed well past what I would consider a reasonable time and made sure the job was DONE and done CORRECTLY. I can't stress that enough... I feel much better now knowing that the property in question is buttoned up nice and tight. Thanks again Rick, you got my business from here on out.

I'd recently purchased a home an noticed a very old beautiful antique lock on the front door ( the seller no longer had the key) Instead of losing the entire door and lock ..........I called Rick, He was extremely knowledgeable, he knew the history of the lock, and therefore was able to re-key it. Needless to say i'm a very, very happy customer. Awesome job, Great price, Excellent service.

This was not an emergency situation, but Rick was able to come the very next day. He gave a 2-hour window for arrival, and called to let me know he would be a little later -- no problem, I was glad he scheduled on short notice. I have an older home, built in 1930, with wood interior doors, glass knobs, and old hardware mixed with newer fixtures. Rick accomodated my numerous add-ons to my initial request just to fix 1 lock. He was able to reinstall that fixture in a more secure way and I didn't have to purchase anything new. Then he tackled the front door, and another door, and another... All my interior and exterior doors and locks now work more smoothly and quietly. Wish I'd had this done years ago! I chose this vendor because he was top of the list for my area and had stellar reviews on Angie's. I almost didn't believe the reviews, because they were almost too good. But I can see why. Excellent experience. Rick came on short notice on a Friday evening and opened a door that had been accidentally locked from the inside. He was prompt and extremely courteous. He will be our first call the next time we need a locksmith.

Everything was done on schedule in a professional and competent manner and the locksmith arrived as promised. This is especially important because we are out of state buyers. All of our locks were rekeyed and new keys provided. Also the dead bolts were upgraded. The locksmith was personabile and honest. We also received a discount because we told him we saw him on Angies List. We will call again if we need more lock service. Everything was A+++++!

Because we lost a set of keyes we needed to have our locks changed quickly. Rick responded within a reasonable period of time after I contacted Highland's office. He provided a quote based on my description of what needed to be done and he was able to schedule us within a two hour period. He was prompt, very polite, professional and efficient. It was pure pleasure to witness that the American work ethic of many years ago still exists. !! Rick completed the job perfectly within two days of my calling. He would have done it the day I called, but had to order a part. He was professional and it was so evident that he enjoys what he does because he is really good at it. My locks work great and I have peace of mind.

What did Rick do?... What did Rick not do?! I have been renting out a room to a problematic tenant who finally moved out of my home. Relieved, I wanted to change the locks immediately and had tentatively planned for the following day. But Rick could sense my distress and was able to work me into his busy schedule. He re-pinned my front and back locks quickly and for an unbeatable price. Furthermore, he went the extra mile to evaluate the locks on my room door and office and fixed them (had to remove a bunch of paint, found the appropriate skeletal key, and allowed me to keep the skeletal key)! Finally, he fixed another bathroom door lock which was not spinning correctly and not flush with the door. Excuse me for my lack of mechanical knowledge and semantics but I cant convey how thankful I am for Rick, most importantly for coming immediately when I needed him and giving me a price that could not be beat. Seriously, thank you Rick. p.s. My place was built in 1911.... Rick still knew how to fix everything!

It was perfect. I called mid-morning and talked to Richard. I explained the problem and he said he could fix it. He was familiar with , older locks and most of them need to be disassembled, repaired, fine tuned and put back together. Richard had an earlier appointment near our house and he gave me an estimated time to meet at the house. He called when he was about 30 minutes from the house and we meet there. He fixed the lock and we are extremely satisfied with his service and how promptly he was able take care the problem. Rick was very responsive, listened to what the church's needs were and provided excellent suggestions to get the job completed at a very reasonable cost. Much less than we anticipated. He is very professional, friendly, prompt, and punctual.

Rick exceeded all my expectations. Some of what I requested was standard, but one item was more difficult. He came out, checked what had to be done, researched the door (this was a non standard installation) and then responded me promptly be email with all my options. One door required a special-order item. Because of the challenges this was going to be a two-stage job - the easy stuff first, and the more difficult door combined with other items a few weeks later. When Rick came out to do the more simple things he just happened to bring a lock that may work on the difficult door. He took the initiative to order it and accept the risk and put it in his inventory if it didn't work. But it did (with a little work)! He went above and beyond what I expected. He is professional, knowledgeable, and the price was very fair and reasonable compared with others I have used in the past. I already have plans to use Rick again, and definitely will recommend Highland Security Lock Service to others.

Richard was very responsive to my request. He was a pro with "old house, old hardware" issues. He fixed a non-working front door lock, and then re-keyed all 3 entry locks to the rental and made sure that all the keys worked well. He fixed my front door knob that we had struggled with for years (handle kept pulling off, and shaft was too long and stripped). He also offered some advice and adjustment on a broken storm door handle and followed up with some research and further advice. He responded quickly and showed up on time. It was a pleasure doing business with him. I have already called him back for some work on a different property.

Rick really went above and beyond what I expected. He tried to save me money by first seeing if our existing deadbolt lock could be repaired. He noticed that the existing lock was installed improperly. He made the necessary adjustments and re-installed the lock to working order. When I decided that I wanted a new lock anyway, he went right to work to make that happen. In the meantime, he noticed that my storm door wasn't closing properly so he fixed it. While in the process of replacing my deadbolt lock, he discovered that my door hinges were not secured properly and replaced the hinge screws with longer screws. The door was also rubbing against the door frame during its opening and closing--he fixed that too! He located the deadbolt lock in a place that I was very satisfied with and proceeded to vacuum the saw dust that remained once the job was done. He tried to save me money again when he wrote up the bill. He really worked hard to save me money where he could. He took the time to explain things to me and kept me informed of what was happening during his visit. You don't find many people like that! I am so what hard to please but I was extremely satisfied with him and would gladly refer him to anyone.

Showed up when scheduled and got right to work. Gave me options as what I could have done and what the costs were as well as told me costs when I first called for an appt. He spent time looking at each lock, told me what he was doing and what he felt was best for me, but also let me make the final decision. He was here a while because of the work, but it was all worth it and now I have keys/locks for doors I did not have before he came. Already made plans for him to come back later this year to help with another project.
