We've all seen the commercials and heard the jingle for glass Dr. so when I saw them on Angie's list I called them first. The guy I spoke with was shockingly unprofessional, borderline rude. Because my intention was not to make friends but to get the window fixed on my house I simply ignored his sophomoric behavior and made the appointment. They do the same garbage that the phone company does with appointments between 8 AM and noon and 1 to 5 etc. expecting customers to literally sit and wait all day for their technicians to show up. The date of my appointment was three days after I made the call and I was there Saturday morning waiting from 8 AM till noon as agreed. When 12 o'clock came and the technician was still not at my house I contacted dispatch and inquired as to what the holdup was and when his ETA would be. Again the dispatcher was condescending and completely unapologetic about their standing me up but instead insisted that they "have a policy of calling before they arrive and if there is no answer they don't show up". The reality is I am not an irresponsible adolescent and if my DR can keep appointments with out calling me half an hour ahead of time I assume the "all-important" glass Dr. can as well. The fact is, no one ever told me that they won't show up unless they can get me on the phone half an hour before his arrival. So I waited all morning for technician that wasn't going to show up. My primary objection is the despicable manner in which I was treated by their employees. I have never done business with the company who cared so little about their reputation especially on Angie's list. I told the manager that I was going to leave a "scathing report" to which he replied "we've got more business than we can handle". I said he should be thanking me because I will do what I can to see to it that all those pesky customers give them a break and go somewhere else. Despite the alleged miscommunication the company should have been doting in their apology and quickly reschedule the appointment with the customer instead of insulting me that it was my fault that they didn't show up. the end of the story is that I called one of the other hundred plus glass companies out there who was extremely eager to show up without me being there and leave a written estimate on my front door. That wasn't so hard... And they got the job. Don't call the glass Dr., They are far too important and busy to deal with the likes of us.

Service person came to home and took the time to gather all relevant details and measurements. The glass was custom cut and made to match existing window specifications. Company called back when the glass was ready - did not need to call them. Very professional while on-site and attention paid to the installation details - you can't tell that the glass has been replaced.

I first called the Company after hours, leaving detailed word about the project with their answering service, including the fact that I had guests coming into town in a bit over a week, and needed this job done by then. I was promised a call back the following morning to schedule an estimate. I never got the call. So, a couple days later, I called again - this time during business hours. I spoke to a woman who said their estimator could not be out to see the project for several days. I explained not having heard back from my initial call and about my deadline, and she told me she would have her manager contact me to discuss. The next day I heard form the manager, who told me he could get an estimator out to see the job the next day. The next day, the estimator (who is also the tech) by the name of Derrick arrived to see the job. Unlike the back office, this guy knew what he was doing. He sized up the job - which was tricky - took out the door, had it repaired at the shop, and reinstalled it only hours before our guests arrived. He was highly professional, on time and on budget. This guy was a rock star. If you ever use Glass Doctor in Cleveland, do not even bother with their office. Just call and leave a message for Derrick.

The work turned out very good. They provided quick service and did a good job. The cost was covered by insurance, and they handled all of the insurance paperwork. This was the first time that I used them. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

tech was very prompt, courteous, and efficient. It took just over 1 hour to do the job. He came to our house and worked in the driveway. When I called to get pricing, I asked for the Angie's list discount and they gave me $ 50.00 off the price they had just quoted. We opted for extra coverage against damage for $ 20.00.

Glass Doctor was great all around. They were very good at providing the upfront information, what I needed to do (just have a garage to do the work since it was snowing) and quote, and the customer service on the phone was very friendly and were fast to respond to my initial contact via their website. The technician that came was very professional, friendly, and did a great job. I'd definitely would use them again!

They had it done within the next day. She took the car to them and boom! it was done. I give them an "A". Everything was fine. My wife was happy.

This by far was the worst experince I have ever had. They were to come to our house on 01/09/2010. They called at 8:00 am and said that the appt was on and the tech would call. The tech called and stated that he was in Richmond Hts and that he would be here after that job. This was at 8:20 am. At about 12:00 or so I called the office because we had not heard from anyone yet. I was told that the tech ran into trouble but he would be here. At about 3:30 or 4:00 p.m. we were called and told that the tech was not going to come and we had to reschedule. They picked up the car at my wifes work on 01/11/2010 and took it to the shop. When they brought it back they did not put gas in like they said they would, there was glue on the headliner around the rearview mirror , which they said that they did not do. There was small bits of glass on the dashboard and they said that they vacumed and cleaned the dash. One of the vents was poped out and loose . After speaking to them i was given lame reasons for not being there on saturday and that they did not put the glue on the headliner. They did offer to credit my card for the gas. It seems to me that lie to suit themselves and dont care about the customer. People if you can use another company I know that I will the next time i need any glass work for home or auto

Overall it went extremely well. They came and gave us a quote and we agreed with it. It didn’t take very long for them to come back with the finished product. The men who installed it were very good and they cleaned up after themselves. They made minimal damage to the frames so we didn’t have to paint them again. I think they did an incredibly good job.

They came out the same day we called them to measure the windows, ordered the glass and called us on a Friday (about a week after measuring the glass) to put the new glass in on Monday. Since it wasn't an emergent job, that was fine with us. We did need someone available from 8am-5pm to meet the tech to put the glass in when he got there. They called ahead to let us know he was on his way--which also worked out fine for us. Mike put the glass in, was very polite and answered any questions we had. We're happy to say they'll give a 10 yr warranty on the work and we will tell all our friends to call Glass Doctor. Thanks for a great job-the windows look beautiful!

They were good at what they did even though it was a small job.

As I said, they were punctual and responsive. The new windows look like the old ones so the quality seems good. The work was done to our satisfaction. The only 2 negatives were the time frame for appointments is quite long so somebody has to be available to be home for a minimum of 4 hours to wait. The other negative was that the installer did track a lot of snow and salt through the house and I did have to wash floors after she left. This was not the case with the person who did the estimate.

When I called the phone was answered immediately and all my information was gathered-location, year, make and model of car. I was also provided with an estimate for the work that needed to be done. As I called late in the day, an estimated time was given for the serviceman to come the next morning. Later that day I received a call back to verify the information on the type of car I needed work for as apparently there is a model for that year that has "heads up" display where information that is normally displayed on your dash is projected onto the windshield. As that question hadn't been asked earlier, they called back to clarify the information collected so the right type of windshield could be provided. The next day the serviceman was very late in arriving. A half hour after the latest time on the estimated arrival time (I think it was 8-10) I called home from work to check with my son to see how it had gone and to verify how much the cost was. He had not arrived yet. So, I called the company and was told that the serviceman was backed up at another job and would be arriving later that morning. I called home again mid afternoon and found he still hadn't arrived, so called the company again. He actually did not show up until about 4pm. Once he arrived, he was very quick in making the needed repair. The windshield was changed out, the debris cleaned up thoroughly, the rear view mirror reattached and the sealant around the edges applied very neatly. He left instructions with my son not to wash it for 24 hours and then presented a bill that was about $80 less than I had been originally quoted. This reduction is price helped a lot in alleviating my frustration at the late arrival. A couple of days later is rained hard, and not a drop of water seeped in around the windshield. It was a job very well done.

We had several bids and went with the lowest one. After checking various bureaus I decided that this company was reputable. They worked with my schedule to install the shower and it looks beautiful.

They did a good job. They were convenient. The same day that I called they came and fixed it. They were in and out within about an hour. They were professional.

Glass Doctor was contacted on 7/7/2007 and requested to provide an estimate for replacement of 7 windows. Calvin gave us a "ball park" estimate, which was followed up by an onsite visit on 7/9/2007 which is the same day we ordered the windows. At the time of the order, the replacement was scheduled for 7/19/2007. At 10am on 7/19/2007 the Glass Doctor arrived on site with all the equipment necessary to perform the job, which was completed by 11:45am. Shortly after they left, another window was observed to have a broken seal. The company was very accommodating and allowed us to drop off the window at their shop, and dropped the price by 40%. They didn't have to help us on the price for this final window, but we were pleased they did.

Excellent and beautiful job! They came and fixed the window and it looked like nothing had ever happened.

Dropped of cabinet door that needed new glass inserts. Glass fit well and job worked out fine. A bit pricey, however.
