The gentleman came out, took measurements, and gave us a very reasonable estimate and a time frame for the job to be completed. I was pleasantly surprised when the glass was ordered and installed in the house in less than 2 weeks. I was afraid to get the windows fixed because of the cost, but the Glass Doctors of Ohio showed us that the windows were fine, and that it was just the glass panels needed replaced, saving us hundreds of dollars.

Very responsive to emergency situation. Came out the same day-called and boarded up the window. The installer (Calvin) was very thorough and professional. Later, replaced the plywood board with a new tempered glass window. Excellent service - a real help in an emergency. Plywood cut was exact and 2 boards were used to provide strength. New glass was available sooner than expected and it fit exactly. Calvin completed both jobs and was very conscientious. He even helped with cleanup. I highly recommend Glass Doctor for glass pane replacement and I would not hesitate to use them again.

They replaced the glass. I was very nervous, but they did a very good job.

The technician was excellent, answered our questions, very polite. The problem was the scheduling. They gave a window of 8am to 5pm instead of either morning or afternoon. We had to wait around all day long. We did receive the Angies discount with no problem.

The actual serviceman was great, dealing with the dispatchers at the headquarters was a nightmare.

Daniel was timely and professional. He swiftly repaired the broken window frame and reinstalled the storm frame. He went above and beyond when he reinstalled the storm frames to another window that needed it. This was reassuring to me in that my home had been broken into. Daniel even exhibited a personal touch by asking me how I was doing since the break-in took place.

I ordered the glass on 5/8/2014. Was told that it would take 2 weeks to get the glass. After 3 weeks I called to see if it was ready. I was told 'no' and they would call me when it came in. After 2 more weeks I called again and was told it was ready. They didn't know how long it had been there. Who knows if they would ever have called had I not called them.i would not use this service again.

I will not be using Glass Doctor again. We had some painting done and the painters accidentally broke a glass pane in one of our windows. The painters were great and set it up for Glass Doctor to stop by and measure the window and install a new pane. A week went by, and the painters checked in with us to see if we were satisfied with the work Glass Doctor had done. We informed the painter that the Glass Doctor never did the work. The painters immediately contacted Glass Doctor, and Glass Doctor said that our appointment had fallen off their radar. They set up a new appointment for us. The person who came and did the work was great- very friendly and quick. However, the next morning we had condensation on the inside of the new glass pane. I called to get an appointment to re-seal the pane. The morning of the appointment, the technician (a different one from the first) called at 11:26 am to tell me that he was on his way. I was in a meeting, so I let the call go to voicemail. I then left the meeting and called him back within 5 minutes (my phone shows that I called back at 11:31 am). I got no answer, but I told my husband to go to the house to meet the technician (thinking that he was still on his way). No one showed up. I called the main office and was told that because no one answered the technician's call, he skipped our appointment and that we were moved to later in the day. I was furious-- I had called the technician back within 5 minutes! It is hard enough to get out of work when service providers come on time, let alone when you have no idea when they will be coming. I was treated very rudely by the person at the main office (the only thing he would say, and he said it repeatedly, was that I hadn't answered my phone so the technician moved on to the next appointment) and was put on an indefinite hold. I called back to schedule a new appointment (because my husband couldn't miss a whole afternoon of work to wait for the technician to finally show up), and spoke to another person, and she told me that she would personally call me the day before the new appointment to give me a specific time window so I would know when to be at the house. I NEVER received that call, so I called the office to know when I could expect the technician to show up the next working day. They told me that under no circumstances can they give out a time window (never mind the fact that they forgot my original appointment and skipped my second appointment). I insisted that they give me the first appointment of the day so that I would not have to miss any work. The receptionist told me that she couldn't guarantee it, but that she would make a note that that was my request. The technician showed up for the appointment at noon-- obviously not the first appointment of the day. Dealing with the Glass Doctor was maddening and took up way too much time. They were rude and did not do what they said they would do (regarding calling me a day ahead of time to give me a service time window). Never again.

I spoke with a rep in the Columbus area to schedule a service visit in the Lorain County area. I asked the rep about choices of glass for replacement in the door, based on safety, and clear vs. opaque. He said we had several choices and the tech would have them available on his truck when he arrived. My wife was there to meet the tech on the service day we'd agreed upon. When he showed up, she asked him about choices for replacement. His answer was "uh--glass!". She said we'd been told of possible other choices and he said he could order auto glass but it would take a while for it to come in and that was the only option. He was rude with all his answers until she called him out about it, then he became a little more civil. The charge was $200.00, which I thought was a little exorbitant. Had I been there, he would have probably been sent away without doing the work.

Glass Doctor of Ohio did an excellent job!! When he arrived for the first visit he was able to take the measurements for the windows. This allowed him to have the window panes he needed ordered and available on the second trip and ready to install. This made the repair onsite that much easier. They were even able to provide directions on how to clean the windows since I was new to the home and unsure exactly how they worked. I would use this company again in the future.

Not only did it take over 30 days they never call after they took my down payment of half, I had to keep calling them and they kept blowing me off. I found out later that I could have got window repaired for half the price no follow up after job was finished

They did a great job and were responsive. They came out and gave me an estimate and it was what I had to pay. They came out and did the work and it has been great so far. I just wanted somebody to get the work done but I think they were reasonable. The gentleman that came out was very good.

Derek, their installer arrived at my home on 2-27-14 as scheduled. He called 20 minutes prior to his arrival. He took the measurements of the furniture pieces that need protection and traced the shape of the pedestal desk to make the fit as precise as it could be. He gave an estimate and said that it might take 10 days to 2 weeks to fabricate and return with the glass. He called 6 days later to schedule the installation for the following day. He brought the glass tops with him and installed them after dusting and polishing all appropriate surfaces. His work was efficient and neat. He collected the balance due and was on his way. He even provided a can of glass polish -- a nice touch.

The glass in our window spontaneously shattered. I called Glass Doctor on Dec. 30 and our technician came out promptly on Dec. 31 - New Year's Eve - to take a look. He measured the window and traced a pattern for the arch at the top. He was polite and friendly as was the person who initially took my call over the phone. I hired him on the spot. It took some time for my glass to come in because of the custom design of the window and a little longer once the glass arrived thanks to our friend -the polar vortex. The installation took place on Feb. 3. It took about an hour. Once again, he was polite and friendly and cleaned everything up before he left. I was very pleased with our technician and our service. I would absolutely use Glass Doctor again.

Did not even look at broken window latches as requested. Field Tech's response, "we don't carry any window latches on our trucks". Not worth another service call, did it ourselves.

It went great. They came on a Monday and replaced the glass while I was at work. Went perfectly. No problems. Work was done exactly as expected. Left me with glass cleaner and instructions as well as warranty instructions.

My installer was great, clean and fast, he did a great job... The only thing I would tell this company is letting you know whats going on at all time I had to call about my door a couple of time to ask whats going on,, but beside that great company

Our experience with the Glass Doctor was an F- 1. The technician was to show up between 1-5 and showed up at 6 2. He did not used suction cups or gloves to insert the new glass as recommended to ensure good adheres to the frame 3. Because he did not use suction cups he nicked the new window and it cracked 4. They promised to return the next day at 9AM with an new window (the trim was left off the car) 5. At 10:30 when he had not showed up, I called the technician. He indicated that they would not have a replacement window until Wednesday. The office was supposed to call me to let me know the glass was not in stock. 6. He finally showed up at noon to put the trimback on the car. He indicated that the office would call me to schedule an appointment when the new window comes in. 7. I had to call at least four times to finally get an appointment. They never called back. 8. After he completed putting in the new windshield he asked me to pay and sign off on the work. However, he had put painters tape on the trim which covered up the work. 9. When I removed the tape the next day I found dents in the trim and a fingerprints on the inside and outside of the car. 10. When I called to complain, I was told the technician would have to come out again to confirm that he did the damage. 11. He admitted he knew he did the damage (not sure why he did admit to the damage when he completed the job) 12. Bottom line, I have to go to a body shop and have the damage repaired.

Scheduled to have an estimate and they came out within 4 days. Downside was having to be home the entire day waiting. Finally called at 3pm to check on a time and was told within 1.5 hours someone would be at our house. Worker showed up at 4:45pm and gave us a price to replace the 3 x 1.5 foot piece of glass in our bedroom window. Seemed a little high for just glass, but it was better than ordering a window from Andersen and having to find someone to put it in and paint it ourselves. We paid 50% down and followed up to make an appt. We were told someone would call when the glass was in. Called back 2 weeks later and were told the order was never placed. The next day someone told us it was placed but the piece was manufactured wrong. After 2 more days of getting the run around we had an appointment. Another day of waiting around and our glass was replaced. Upon inspection there was broken glass in our bedroom carpet, the glazing had gaps and we had them fix those issues. Window seems to be holding up fine now, but it was a pain to get it all done. I would use Glass Doctor's again if absolutely necessary, but I would try to go with one of the 2 other companies that provide the same service first.

Our new car was broken into in downtown Cleveland while we attended a show at playhouse square. I called Glass Doctor the next morning and they had a technician at our house the very same day. He replaced the broken window in the car and cleaned up all of the shattered class, which was throughout the interior. We also had him replace a cracked windshield in our other car. Was a great experience overall.

Came out the same day and fixed the issue. It was an older door, and the fix is hardly visible.

My experience overall went very well. The staff was friednly and professional. I was pleased with the work provided. I would highly recommend this company to others.

The initial experience was good, as the estimator was friendly, and the price was competitive. From that point on, it was very poor customer service for the installation scheduling, as if the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing. There were several failed attempts, and an inability to get a hold of anyone to confirm. I would get calls from installers saying they were waiting at my house, on days when it wasn't even scheduled. They would leave a number for me to call, which would flip into a voicemail system that could not accept any messages because it was full. When finally reaching someone who promised an installation date of Wednesday 7/3, I was getting calls on 7/1 from installers at my house, who would no install because I wasn't there. I work, and this whole process was very inconvenient and frustrating. The installers were nice, but they left shattered glass from the old window all over the outside window sill and grass. They did not clean up. I had also received an estimate from a local glass company whose bid was $100 higher. In hindsight, I would have chosen then instead. I would not recommend Glass Doctor. Their service leaves a lot to be desired.
