He did give me some detailed and reasonable estimates, but I decided to hire someone closer to my home.

Brakes on my 2005 Corolla S were starting to go. I brought it in to Detroit Auto Clinic and was immediately impressed with the friendly personable service. I explained my problem and left the car there. Within a couple hours he called me back and explained what needed to be done. What I really liked is that he gave me options for replacement parts, along with pros and cons of each option. At no time did I feel like I was being hustled and there was no attempt to upsell additional services (a problem that is all too prevalent at auto service stations). I dropped it off just before close and it was ready early the next day. I recommend Detroit Auto Clinic to everyone that I know. It was a reassuring and hassle free process.

I was pleased with the service and the price I received for my VW wagon. I will definitely bring my car here for future repairs.

The owner Gilbert was very reasonable with his prices with labor and he also dropped me off at work during the time that my car was at his shop for repair. My place of employment was near by and I thought that it was a nice service that he provides for his customers. The owner didn't try to encourage doing extra work to make extra money as with some mechanics seem to do in many shops. He also, was very personable and I have told my friends about the wonderful service that I received from the Detroit Auto Clinic. However, I am sorry for not making a report to Angies's List sooner and will continue to keep up with my future reports. The auto clinic has moved to a new location which is really close to my place of employment which is located on the same street. I will be dropping my car off for future maintenance work with Detroit Auto Clinic very soon.

Since the repair estimate was $400, my son decided to have it towed to his brother's shop (so he could make payments). Gilbert was okay with that. When the other shop found it was not the fuel pump, I asked Gilbert if he could refund the money spent on the diagnosis [that was wrong]. While he certainly didn't have to do, he knew my son was low on funds and agreed to it What a great guy! Bottom line: Car problems are not always easy to figure out --- I'd give Gilbert another chance in a heartbeat.

I chose them because of the location. They are very punctual, reasonably priced and they did a good job like they said they would.

Received an estimate from a different auto service provider for 2 X the price the job was done at Detroit Auto Clinic. I was a little reserved about the price being so much cheaper but decided to repair my vehicle with Gilbert. Overall great service, very punctional, highly recommend!!

After taking my '96 Explorer to too many repair shops without any luck, I went to the Ford dealer were I was told I needed 2 injectors at a $700 estimate. I called Detroit Auto Clinic, and I was scared at first because the cost was 1/3 lower than the dealer. So I took the car and I stayed there the whole time watching them. Gilbert told me in the beginning that he didn't think it was the injectors, but I insisted. He was right, the engine light stayed on. I went back to Ford & told them and said they didn t know the reason. I went back to Detroit Auto Clinic & 1 hr later they told me that I needed an exhaust valve on #6 cylinder. I highly recommend these guys. They saved me lots of time and money on car repairs.
