The deck looks awesome. I've gotten very positive feedback from neighbors. The entire process start to finish was excellent. The workers worked so effortlessly is a real pleasure. It's like they never get tired! The job is was splendidly done, and I'm very happy.

Wonderful workmanship and responsiveness. Contract language was clear and payments were exactly as stated with no surprises. All permits were obtained by Deckmasters. Also, Terry helped come up with an updated design that met all our needs. Yard was cleaned after project - you wouldn't know they had been there! I highly recommend his work.

As promised he delivered the highest quality work. Very skilled carpenters. Top quality materials. Came back to fix a few very minor things for us. A++

My wife and I hired Deckmasters to replace our 16x20' wood deck with composite Fiberon decking. The frame was still in very good shape, so Terry recommended that it simply be reinforced (move the joists closer together so that they are now 12" on-center to accommodate the composite material). Also, the location and design of the stairs leading down into the yard were completely changed to yield more usable deck space compared to the original deck. Furthermore, two access doors were created on opposite sides to provide access to underneath the deck. Terry is very responsive, while Victor and Walter did an amazing job with the construction; their craftsmanship is excellent. We are very happy with the work, and recommend them.

In an area where contractors are unscrupulous, no one returns phone calls and project managers don’t ‘manage’ I cannot say enough good things about this company and its employees. Deckmasters owner Terry S. followed up immediately after my inquiry, was on time for appointments, and answered any questions I had through-out the entire process. Not knowing the limitations of the space, but having a ‘want’ list, he took all the factors I had into consideration and was able incorporate it all within my budget. The result was not just an average square, but a beautiful and usable space with lovely details. The workers were polite, hard-working and the quality of the construction is outstanding. We have gotten a multitude of compliments on this addition and could not be more pleased. I would happily recommend them to anyone seeking a professional quality company.

Terry and his crew went above and beyond to make sure my deck and pavilion were going to look good. They made changes to make it look better and I am very happy with the work they did. Our family absolutely loves it and their work was very professional and in my eyes perfect!!

I did quite a bit of research on deck contractors and Terry and crew were at the top of the list. I was not disappointed. Our old deck was toast, but they were able to re-use much of the old support structure to add to it and to save us some money. I was very particular about certain aspects, but Terry was able to come up with a plan that worked. We contracted in late April. We wanted to use composite materials for the flooring for the maintenance aspect, but wanted to use cedar on the railing and the small pergola. He patiently worked with us on swatches and designs until we were comfortable with the plan. Terry warned us that his backlog was into June, but he called in mid-May and said that he could start on it early. Quality and craftmanship was excellent. We pointed out a few minor follow-up items after completion and he had someone out there the next day to complete it to our high satisfaction. We got a deluxe deck

Experience was outstanding and final product was absolutely beautiful. Crew was quick but very concise. Estimated time for build was 12 days and they were complete in 6.

I highly recommend using Deckmasters. Terry, the owner, has a good eye for design and was easy to work with, incorporating his ideas and mine into a beautiful backyard deck. The contract spells everything out, no surprises, and I liked his payment plan. His crew was timely and neat, and finished the job in about a week and a half, in spite of the rainy weather. Terry and his crew were excellent, the inspector was impressed with the quality of the work and even remarked that if she had deck work to be completed that his team is the one she would hire. The workmen arrived on time, were cleanly, curious, and professional. I could not have been happier wit the end result and hope to hire his team again for an additional project on the other side of my house.

I chose Deckmasters to build a composite deck because they offered design suggestions and options that their competitors didn't. I had a spigot and dryer vent that I didn't want to deck over (even though an access panel was an alternative) and not having the deck extend out past the side of the house due to permit restrictions. Terry, the owner, suggested building steps into the deck and against the house, which satisfied all issues. I also requested a specific look on the railing (deck board running across the top rail in between posts) and Terry came through again finding a railing system that fit my design expectations. He provided the necessary paperwork for my HOA, pulled the permits as needed and communicated the final inspection date from the city. Terry was a pleasure to deal with, gave me a fair price and his men did a great job!

Terry and his crew were fantastic! Very flexible when wrinkles in the project came up. Designed the rebuild so that we have more room in the porch. Secured the balcony railing as well! Top notch planning, design, workmanship. Lifetime warranty. Always answered the phone for scheduling, questions, and follow up. Very impressed.

EXCELLENT! From the initial consultation including the design, planning, coordination of HOA requirements, filing the Brunswick City Permit and all through the installation the experience was excellent and we would absolutely contract with Deckmasters again. They were very professional and did what they said they were going to do.

This company is hands down, the best option for anyone looking to build a deck. I had them build my deck 10 years ago and it was beautiful! It was it great shape after 10 years but unfortunately I had to take it down because I had to have my house waterproofed and some sewer work done. They made room in their busy schedule to come out when I needed them to and take the deck down. He also fit me into they schedule when the work was done so that I could get my yard back in shape again as soon as possible. From customer service to finished product this company is great. I am extremely happy with them and when I build a front porch I will use them. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good deck company that will be reasonable in price. Their finished product far exceeds their cost in my opinion. I've seen decks built by the amish for much more money that I didn't feel was as good as their work not to mention the excellent service.

Have Terry Sharanvych of DeckMasters build your deck! In the early spring of 2018, we visited two home shows at the IX Center and collected several leads for deck builders. We interviewed 7 builders and liked Terry the best because of: - his passion for quality; - his enthusiastic nature; - his attention to detail; - his willingness to guarantee the workmanship; - his guarantee of all the products installed; - his price. Terry also introduced us to Fiberon deck composites, which after much research on my part, was clearly the best composite choice. He suggested a vinyl/composite lattice for the skirting, which made perfect economic sense rather than installing expensive deck boards vertically. We looked at a lot of railing systems and Terry’s recommendation of Duralux was the perfect choice for looks, strength, and rigidity. We were also impressed that Terry installed joists on 12” centers rather than everyone else’s 18” centers. As composites are known to be somewhat “spongy,” this seemed like an essential technique – and by the way, our Fiberon deck is as solid as a rock. All the other builders were concerned about maximizing the lengths of deck boards, (to save money) but Terry wasn’t concerned at all – he said any short leftover pieces would just go back into his stock for his next project. Also, other deck builders were adamant about attaching the deck to our house (I think to save a little money for posts), Terry was nonplussed on the issue and said it was our preference – attached or not attached – no difference in price. Terry’s workers showed up early, worked hard, and cleaned up any mess – they were delightful. They were also really quick and efficient. We had one “issue.” On a side set of stairs we wanted it to be 5 risers high, but when they roughed it in, they built it for 4 risers high. I called Terry and he said, “no problem” and they fixed it no charge, no discussion. The final 450 sq. ft. deck is gorgeous. We choose Fiberon Ipe, which is a soft reddish brown mottled color with a darker frame of Fiberon Rosewood around the outside. The railing is a dark brown and everything blends perfectly in our enclosed and shady back yard. The composite boards are installed with this amazing “sideways screw machine,” so there are no screw heads anywhere on the main deck – perfect for bare feet. Also, another typical knock on composite decks is that they “heat up.” Maple trees in our yard shade our deck and even on the hottest days we have never noticed any warmth on our feet. (A deck in the direct sun, may be different?) Oh – and I should mention that Terry was the LEAST EXPENSIVE of all those we talked to. Best quality, best builder, best price – how can you get better than that?

From start to finish, everything was handled well. I obtained several bids and Deckmasters was the lowest by a significant amount. The job was very well done. There's no way that the higher cost vendors could have performed better. This was among the best experiences that I have ever had with tradesmen, Having owned nine properties in the last 52 years, I've had a lot of experiences.

I love my new deck! I was very impressed by Deckmasters' service. Terry was so easy to work with. He was very professional and knowledgeable. His workers were terrific. My deck looks great, is very well constructed. I recommend them highly.

Terry and his team did a tremendous job on our new deck. His guys are true craftsmen and we highly recommend. They took down an out of date sunroom and replaced it with a special design deck. Deckmasters should be on your call list!!

I couldn't be happier with the results. Terry and team were always in contact and communicated effectively throughout the project. They were punctual and cleaned up at the conclusion of each day despite some challenging (snowy) conditions. The workmanship was high quality and there were no surprises or last minute changes. I took longer than I would have liked trying to finalize composite board and railing colors but Terry never applied any pressure. I would definitely hire Deckmasters again and have already recommended to friends and neighbors.
