CURB APPEAL PAINTING

Curb Appeal did a great job all the way through. The representative who came to give the estimate was prompt and professional and produced an estimate in a very timely manner. Bill and the crew who came to complete the job were also punctual and professional. They came every day that they promised, worked through the whole day, and left the property spotless every day. The work was also excellent. I have an older house that has been through many paint jobs. Bill and company were able to scrape and feather the old paint down pretty well and the repainting and trim look wonderful. I was so pleased with Curb Appeal that I had them come back last summer and paint several walls inside the house and the work was equally great. I highly recommend them.

Curb Appeal promised to redo some of the painting work this coming spring. I am completely satisfied with the their proposal.

We are very particular about the quality of work we hire out. We were very pleased with the finished work. The employees knew what they were doing. They were professionals. We were able to choose the brand and quality of paint we wanted.

In late August, 2014 the salesman from Curb Appeal Painting came to my home to inspect the work needed to be done for exterior painting of my home. I asked at that time if the work could be done by the end of October and they said they could do that. I had purchased several gallons of Behr exterior paint which I requested be used. This last request was codified into the contract that I signed on September 2nd. Early October I received a call that my home was scheduled to be painted in November. I told them I was assured that the work would be done by end of October before I even entered the contract and I expected compliance with their commitments made during the sale of their job. Several weeks later I pointed out the the manufacturers specifications for Behr required the paint be applied when the temperature was over 50 degrees and the contracted paint could no longer be used if we waited to paint any longer this season. I got the same ?we?ll get to you? type of comment I received earlier. A week or so later I called the company up and told them that a switch to Sherwin Williams paint would mean we could do the job this year as most of their paint could be applied down to 38 degrees. October 25th the home was scraped and primed. Monday October 27th the painters did not show up. I called the company complaining the work was not progressing and they actually sound surprised that was work needed to be done by the end of October. I told the company that the paint brushes were going to be laid down October 31st. The work was completed on October 29th. Due to the change in paint manufacturers my home is not the color I wanted. This company over commits and does not care, has no understanding of project management to ensure all customers are treated appropriately and was indifferent to the fact that they were not in compliance with the contract. I suggest you take your business elsewhere.

It went extremely well. We scheduled a date that worked well for both of us. One person did all the painting. He arrived always by 8:00 AM and worked at least until 5:00 pm or later to ensure prep or paint of walls or trim was done completely for that day. Didn't spill a drop of paint. Showed up with brand now drop clothes. WOW! Vacuumed each day. Always left a pathway to walk. He was self-sufficient with his cleaning. That is, he took all the brushes and rollers to his truck and didn't need to use our wash-tub for any cleaning. Fantastic. I plan to use them again and have already given their name to others. They're A++ in my book!

Although I rarely write reviews, Curb Appeal deserves one because of the good work they did for me. I have owned six houses and this was the best exterior paint job I have ever experienced. It?s crew was timely, careful, all-inclusive, and artistic. Pursuant to the company?s standard practice, the job received a thorough inspection by the work-crew foreman, the general manager, and an owner. They?ve earned my seal of approval for the company provides top value for each dollar spent!

I used them last fall. The service was very expensive, but not as expensive as some of the other prices we got. The work was very good and I liked the painter they sent. They sent the same painter the whole time. Their price was competitive and was lower than some of the other ones we got. I could see the painter they sent was intent on doing a good job. He was very professional, was a very good painter and I was very happy.

Great job. Crew was professional, responsive, and easy to deal with; so was sales/main office team. Couldn't be happier with the way our house looks or how worry free the entire process was.

They did a very good job. I'm very particular about how a painted area looks and I could'nt find any faults with there work at all.

When we found out my husband was being transferred, DJ worked with us to schedule our project in time to put our home up on the market. The team (Joe, Jeff and Ernest) were very professional and friendly. They worked above and beyond to finish the project in time for us to put our home on the market. The house looks great! The estimate process was smooth and went well. Curb Appeal worked with us and were flexible on the scheduling since we had a certain time in mind. The 2-person crew was friendly and had some good ideas on one problem area. After the first day of work, we were surprised to come home to a mess - there was a thick layer of residue on our kitchen floor and paint scraps were all over the kitchen (didn't get painted) and the living room. On the second/last day of the work, the mess wasn't much better - the layer of crud was still there and so were the paint chips, which were even on our kitchen table. We were initially pleased with the paint job, but as we looked closer, there were definitely things that needed to be touched up. The crew leader was very willing to come back that night and walked through the job with us, touching up as needed. He also needed to come back the next day with a tall ladder to paint an area that was completely missed. After a couple of days, some of the taped areas cracked open and/or bubbled. When we were honest with the follow-up survey, the management team was very responsive and someone even came out to our house to take a look at the problems. They did offer to come back and fix the bubbling and cracks, but since it would've been the same crew, we opted not to have them back. The crew had also somehow broken our vacuum cleaner (which may explain the poor clean-up job), so Curb Appeal had a brand new vacuum cleaner delivered to us, which was very unexpected and nice of them! Now that several months have passed, most of the cracks that they had supposedly taped and sealed have opened up again which is very disappointing. Also, once the snow melted off of our skylights, we saw that both skylights have paint on the glass. One other problem was that out dryer was not hooked back up properly and when we first ran it after the job, it got so hot that it could have caused a fire. We had researched painters on Angies List before hiring anyone, so were pretty surprised at what a poor experience we had. That's why we're being honest with this review.

The estimate was $8655 and we ended up paying with 2 checks $7250 then $1205 for a total $8455 - the actual came in a little lower due to a coupon for $200. They did a good job and we expected they would because of all the other feedback. There were 2 carpenters and a few painters and the head organizers came out to run it - carpenter people came first. It took a couple of days to complete it all. The work area was left very neat. They left and came back after the job was finished looking for things they missed and touched some areas up. We also had a few areas we identified and they touched up. They were very consciencious. I would say they would do an excellent job, promptly and they would be pleased. I'd highly recommend them. I liked that they were very thorough and told us what they thought would be done like the rot problem on the trelises.

We were incredibly pleased with the work of Curb Appeal Paining. We researched several service providers, and everything from the estimating process to the final product was so well done by Curb Appeal. They stuck to their promised start and end-dates, their estimated price, and quality of work. They were perfectionists-- taking the time to work on even the slightest of details and more than happy to address the issues I pointed out to them on our final walk through. The team was friendly, clean (they vacuumed up the worksite each day), and very sensitive to my concerns about paint dust getting into my home. My favorite aspect of working with Curb Appeal was their communication skills- everyone from the estimator to the power washer to the carpenter to the painters kept me fully informed about the scope of the work, the techniques for the work, the options/choices I had, and the timing of the work (when they would be arriving and leaving each day). I always knew what would be happening each day-- something I really appreciated. I think this team was the best team I have worked with as far as having great communication skills and doing what they said they would do when they said they would do it. I also thought the price was competitive and included a lot of attention to detail- there were no surprises as to the price of the finished product.

The problem with this provider was scheduling. Every time I called I was told I was placed on a list. This went on each time I called until recently when the provider stated he never received any payment from Angie's list and the he would contact them and call me back. I am not sure what he meant but at this point I would prefer a refund and I will choose another provider. Thank you.

They accomplished what they said they were going to accomplish in time, quality and communication with the home owner. They did an excellent job. The owner was involved in the process he was a good communicator. If I was not satisfied they would do everything over free of charge. I would recommend them.

I called Curb Appeal after seeing their super service awards on Angie's List. Andrew (The Estimator) came out to our house. He measured the rooms and prepared the quote on the spot. He was very polite and had good ideas about how to paint the rooms. We have a very open floor plan and it was tough to decide where colors would start and stop. I was really picky about the color placement so just to be sure I would be satisfied Andrew sent out a color consultant (For free) and she was a big help. She spent two hours making suggestions and helped me finalize our colors. Curb Appeal was not the cheapest but we selected them knowing we would get a professional job. A few weeks later their painters showed up and the job got started. Joesph and George were here for the better part of the week and they were amazing!!! They worked efficiently, clean and most of all they respected our schedule with regards to our pets and infant daughter. They are professional all the way and I would highly recommend them for any type of interior painting service!!!!
