They came out and took it apart, and they told us what it would cost. They put another piece in, and it took three days to get the thing fixed. In the meantime, they told us that if we were very unhappy with what they were doing and we really didn't want them to fix the refrigerator, they would just take everything out that they put in and charge us only the service call, which I thought was very reasonable. They did all this for an hour with the refrigerator, ordering parts and everything, and then it got more expensive than they originally said. Then they said that they would take everything out and charge us only for the service call, which we had already paid for, if we didn't want to go ahead with what they were doing, which I thought was very nice. In fact, they fixed it as beautiful and I am very happy right now. The pricing is high but I think everybody is high. I was very happy with the service with them. George is our guy. He is a nice guy. I called them on a Monday morning and they were here that afternoon. They gave us a 15 minute heads up that they are coming. They came when they said they would.

The provider came out to my residence 3 times and replaced various parts but could not fix the issue. I have a 3 months old LG dryer on which the delicate cycle has stopped working after a month. On the last visit he had to call LG tech support because he could not figure out what was going on. Apparently he told LG that he determined that the dryer is working to specifications, so now LG will not do anything for me and I'm stuck with a bum dryer that I paid $900 for. On the last visit he was at my residence for 10-15 minutes. If he wanted to be thorough, he could have stayed through the 40 minutes it takes to run a cycle and seen that it truly does not work. But according to him, apparently everything is fine - even if that and quot;fineand quot; means a cycle does not work.

We replaced a board trying to mollify the customer. This took two trips. The third trip was nothing more than trying to explain we cannot modify the way her dryer works. In retrospect we should have told her from the getgo that the dryer will dry the way the mfg. designed it and there was nothing we could do to change the situation. Just for the record the tech was there for 40 minutes on his third trip, not 10 or 15 minutes.

I contacted them on March 1st and the appointment was made for the following Saturday. They showed up a little early which was nice. The repairman, Brian, was very professional and polite. He pulled the dishwasher out and fixed the problem in about an hour an half from uninstall to re-install. A little pricey to fix but those are the breaks. Considering that I had been waiting 6 weeks for Aand E factory service to make it out to my house I was more than happy to pay for people who show up and do their jobs. Great job, highly recommend Complete Appliance Repair.
Description of Work: Fixed our dishwasher. A hose on our whirlpool dishwasher had come unclamped. They replaced it with a better clamp that Whirlpool recommended from a service bulletin about this issue. An interior control panel behind the door cover had also come loose and he remounted that as well.

a new one so it can be on hand for the repair. She requested to move my repair to the 24th. Not too convenient, since it was Christmas Eve and I've been without a dryer for over a week and a half at that point (with two boys, that's tough...) but on the other hand...and excuse not to do laundry.. yea! I appreciated the anticipation of part needed and agreed to move the appointment to the morning of Christmas Eve - I was also surprised and sorry they would have to be working that day. I appreciated the holiday service hours though! The techs called that morning, and hour before the scheduled time and advised me of their on time arrival in an hour. Two techs arrived, an older man and a younger man. Both were friendly upon arrival. I showed them to the laundry facilities and explained the problem. (I had done several loads of laundry on the day in question, the last load was jeans and sweats- heavy clothes, After two hours still not dry. Thought I over loaded the dryer, removed half the clothes, tried to dry again, no go. Air dry was the only option that would work, slowly. I'd tried all other cycle options, nothing worked except air dry. That's all I know. Thanks and good luck!) I thanked them for coming on Christmas Eve and said if they needed anything I'd be in the next room. I heard them start working and discussing possible problems and solutions calmly amongst themselves. After a few moments the older tech asked about the venting system etc. I lead him down to the basement, showed him the piping and then out to the front of our home where it exits. He asked how long we had been in the home and I explained only 4 months, we purchased the dryer right after we moved in. He went back into the laundry facilities. After a few moments, he and the other tech then began to have a rather heated discussion about the proper cause and effect of what the problem might entail. This lasted for a good 7-10 minutes. It was rather odd, as it got rather heated and they seemed to be actually yelling at each other. I was starting to feel uncomfortable as it was getting to the point that I now had two angry strange men in my home, where I also have my two children and I was starting to feel unsafe. So much to the point that I quickly texted my husband, who was working and told him about the situation as well as my neighbor, just in case. Then the younger one called me into the laundry facilities, I smiled and went in a bit reluctantly. They believe they and quot;hashedand quot; out the problem was a venting issue and not the dryer at all. The younger tech apparently came to this conclusion and was ready for me to sign the papers and off they go as they could not help me. The older tech, calmly left the laundry facilities and checked the venting piping in the basement once more as well as the exhaust out the front of the home. He was trying his best to help any way he could. He finally concluded that there was not any way he could help me and suggested I call Dryer Vent Wizzard (Which I did and they are AMAZING!) He was sorry they couldn't help and after I singed the papers they left. I was expecting to pay a service call fee for their time, since it turned out to be a home venting issue and not a problem with the dryer. It was a plus and a pleasant surprise that I in fact was not charged. I was very surprised at how the situation between the two techs got so heated to quickly and how unprofessional and a bit scary it was. I'm always leery of whom I let into my home, since I am here alone with my children, but I usually expect a level of professionalism from service workers who are in my home. They don't have to be overly friendly, but they at least have to be calm and professional. I am thankful that the older tech did try to go above and beyond to help me and that he offered me a great company as a solution that covers an area that they do not. I was thinking of using this company to repair the ice maker on our refrigerator (broken since we moved in) because of his willingness to help, but if they send two techs who clearly don't get along into my home again, this company is not an option. I was planning to request that they only send one tech to my home the next time. Unfortunately, upon reading on Angie's List and the replies from this company to it's consumers who have issues, I have determined that I most likely will not use them again. The replies from this company and how they have written offhanded and flippant remarks to anyone who does not give them an A+ rating or who has had a service issue is disconcerting. If I had read Angie's List from the beginning, based on this alone, I would have requested a different warranty company from the beginning. Based on service alone, on the Older tech and the office staff, I may have used them again. The office staff was friendly and understanding as was the older tech. The value, after the situation was determined not to be a warranty problem, was very consumer friendly and above fair. Personally, I think this is an OK company, based on the positive reviews I have seen and the good parts of the experience I did receive. I think the problem overall for this company lies with just a few employees, bad apples if you will, that need a few courses in customer service. Weed them out, and I am sure Complete Appliance would be a great company to use. Sadly, currently, I believe it's a roll of the dice. I'm fairly sure you will get skilled workers, you just may not get a positive customer service experience, which is just as important in my opinion. Especially when you are opening the door to your home to any service worker. Good Luck!
Description of Work: Warranty call for LG dryer not heating and drying. I called Lowes on the 16th for my 4 month old LG dryer. It was not longer heating and drying clothes. I could only get them to minimally dry on air setting. Lowes warranty sent my call to Complete Appliance. I received a call on the 18th from a very friendly lady that asked the nature of the problem and said she could schedule me on the 20th. She called me again on the 19th, once again very friendly, and said that they believe the heating element is out and that they would like to order

TERRIBLE COMPANY - DO NOT USE THEM! I completely agree with the comments from the 8/18/13 review! I had an issue with my washing machine leaking water. It was still under warranty at the time and Samsung contracted Complete Appliance to come make the repair. First, the service guy who came to my home was completely lazy and wanted to rush out the door as soon as possible. Second, his diagnosis really didn't make much sense...but he was supposed to be the expert so I figure he knew what he was doing. So, he ordered a part for the repair and scheduled a time to come back. When he came back the second time, he had ordered the wrong part and had to reorder it and come back. He finally got the correct part and came back for the third time. He told me he and quot;thoughtand quot; this would fix it, but I should give the company a call back if it didn't (without ever mentioning a specific time frame that I had to call back by). Mind you this was about 3-4 weeks after the initial call - AND my warranty from Samsung had expired during that time. Moral of the story is he did not repair the problem. The washer still leaked water from the same spot. I called Complete Appliance to let them know and I explained my story in detail. The guy who had done the repair that told me to and quot;give em a calland quot; did not even work for the company anymore. The person I spoke to on the phone said they would have to charge me to come back for the service call, parts, and repair since my warranty had expired. HOWEVER, THEY NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM! AND IF THEY WOULD HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME IT WOULD HAVE BEEN UNDER WARRNTY!!!!! They took no accountability for the faulty repair AT ALL. Instead of owning up to the fact that they did not repair the washer to begin with, they said it had been too long since the and quot;repairand quot; (only 5 weeks) and this would be a completely unrelated service call – of which they would have to charge me for. The person I spoke to on the phone was completely rude and unprofessional. Luckily, I called Samsung and they gave me a complimentary extended warranty to have the washer repaired by a DIFFERENT company. To sum up my experience, the people I dealt with at Complete Appliance were lazy, incompetent, rude and unprofessional. TERRIBLE COMPANY - DO NOT USE THEM!

I had an issue with my fridge where it wasn’t cooling properly. My Home Warranty company sent Complete Appliance out to do the repair. They came out and determined that my control board was bad and needed replaced, mentioning that it was a common problem with my type of refrigerator. I was not around to see if they did any troubleshooting of the problem or just assumed it was the boards. The replacement of the boards did not fix the problem. My fridge still had a cooling problem hovering between 39-45 degrees on the coldest setting (Frigidaire suggests a temp of 37). I’m sure there’s many opinions on this, but I would say that most people know when the fridge is not cool enough, you can taste in the drinks, and food just seems to not last as long, and when I set my fridge to 33, I expect it to be somewhere near there, not 45. When I called Complete appliance back to tell them I still had a problem, I talked to Dave (who I assume was the owner) I said that there was no change in temperature since they replaced the boards and asked if there could possibly be some other problem, like the temperature sensor. Dave told me that my temperature was fine and that people like me that worry about the temperature of their fridge just need to get a life. Needless to say, I was shocked at his response as I’ve never been talked to like that. A few days later, I went on vacation for a week and checked the fridge as soon as I walked in the door, and it was 50 degrees, we had to throw much of the food out. I was in a real pinch, I did not want Complete Appliance back out after they were so rude to me. So I went out and bought the temperature sensor for $15 and installed it myself. That fixed the problem. My fridge now runs in the 30’s consistently. I’ve never written a complaint before but I felt compelled to warn others. I’m sure you will see this company reply and attempt to defend itself, as you can see a series of attempts to defend itself in other reviews. I suggest reading their responses. Funny that I don’t see one where they agree they made a mistake and the customer was right, and they did x, y, and z to fix the issue. You get a feeling of arrogance which is exactly how I felt when dealing with this company. But regardless of everything else, at the end of the day, as a business you should NEVER speak to your customers the way Dave spoke to me.

When we called Complete they were able to determine that our frig needed a new Power circuit board which would need to be ordered from New York. It took one week from the date we contacted them to the date of our service call. They were scheduled to arrive between 2-5 PM. They arrived at 4:50, and installed the part in less than 10 minutes. We received a temporary service receipt, and are still waiting for the permanent copy. I would use them again but its seems their employees are at their limit.

This company was called out by the store I phurchased the washer from. The tech was very nice and professional he was also very knowledgeable. He thought the machine just needed to be leveled. He told me if that did not work it was most likely the motherboard and to call the company and they would replace the motherboard. When I called the company the sent out a tech who replaced the motherboard. That did not work either. I ended up getting a new washer from the store. I have no real complaint with complete appliance service. They just couldn't repair the washer to my satisfaction.

Complete Appliance were called out via my insurance company. They replaced a belt on my drier but the machine still did not work so they had to be called out again. When the second call failed to result in a working drier I complained that I was not happy with their service and the repairman was rude to me, wouldn't listen to my request and walked out of my house while I was still talking to him. When I called the company to complain I talked to a woman who put me on hold while she spoke to her supervisor. Ironically the recorded message I had to listen to waxed lyrical about the company's customer service. She then came on the phone to say that her supervisor was speaking to the repairman who had been in my house and I would have to wait. When the man did speak to me he was unbelievably condescending and would not listen to either my complaint or how he could help resolve it. He told me that they had fixed my drier in the first place - thereby implying that I was lying when I said that it did not work after the first call-out. Then, in an exaggerated and slow voice (like he was speaking to an idiot) he said that he had no intention of apologising for his company's representative being rude and walking off while I was still talking to him, that he could not help me and that I should speak to my insurance provider - and tell them that they should send someone else to fix my problem. I remain startled by this lack of concern or care for the customer - or whether I will do business with them again in the future. Thank you, Angie's list for giving me a way to make my opinion about this company count - as the company itself does not give a d*** what I think about them. For interest, the repair man ascertained within minutes of arriving for the second call out that the issue was not with the belt. He then called the insurance company to ask for authorization to order the parts to repair the machine. The insurance company asked for a second call out fee and I heard him tell the insurance representative that I would not be happy with that. When he got off the phone I told him he was right - I didn't see why I should pay a second call-out charge for something that had been mis-diagnosed and not fixed in the first place. He shrugged and said it was my problem, I needed to speak to my insurance company and sort it out myself. When I asked him to call and explain it was not a second problem he said he could only speak to the claims department, they saw it differently and that it was my problem. He then told me he was leaving, picked up his shoes and left the house (in the rain) without putting his shoes on - and while I was still talking to him. This illustrates just how eager he was not to engage any further with 'my problem'!!

[member name removed] is shooting the messenger. He has a home warranty contract with a company called Home Buyers which operates out of Denver, Colorado. We originally repaired the dryer on 4-1-13 for a drum not turning but heating ok complaint by replacing a broken belt. The technician tested the dryer and it was running and working when we left. On 4-6-13 the [member name removed]called in to report a new problem with the dryer. The complaint was drum not turning and making a loud noise. The same technician returned and found a bad relay and control. He called Home Buyers from the home to get the parts and labor authorized for the new repair. Home Buyers, not us, then told the technician and [member name removed] that a new deductible had to be paid because the repair needed different parts than the previous repair. I should add it took us two weeks to get Home Buyers to issue a new work order before we could return to check the dryer. It is not our service ineptness that is the issue here. [member name removed] is upset and rightlyfully so with his Home Buyers contract policies. We found a broken belt when we first came; it was a simple repair. The dryer was working when we left. Five days later other parts failed and his contract company, not us, decided another $100 deductible was due. We have to follow their policies.. If the insurance says a new dedcutible is due her fight is with the insurance company. Our technician left the house in a hurry because [member name removed] was venting herr ire on him to a point where he was very uncomfortable. Why else would a technician leave someone's house without putting on his shoes? I am sorry we are being blamed for the problem. Our technician checked the dryer and it was either a nanny or relative that saw and confirmed to was running when we left. Dryers are like any electrical appliance. It can work perfectly one day or hour and next time it is tried it fails. Electrical parts can work perfectly in the morning and be bad by the next time the dryer is started. Who has ever had a car start in the morning, drive to work, and then not start after sitting in the lot all day. This happens to the best of companies, especailly after a five day interval from repair. Would it not be normal to assume the dryer was used after we left since it had been down for two weeks? I suggest the[member name removed] address their concerns to the source of the problem, their contract with Home Buyers and leave us out of the equation. We gave a truthful report to their home warranty company; it was their decision to require another $100 deductible which is what raised the [member name removed] ire.

They charged a fee for the diagnosis but did not charge me any additional fee, since the fix was so simple - so I can't speak to the reasonableness of their service charges. They made sure everything else that I was concerned with was in working order. Even though their business operations are a bit low-tech/old-school, I would trust them to do a good, honest job when I need appliances serviced in the future.

Overall it was a good experience. Courteous and on time. In most categories would give the company an and quot;Aand quot; but the pricing was a bit high. Complete did an excellent job. Professional, great attention to detail, gave us some tips about our new product.
Description of Work: We just purchased a new refrigerator and were having issues with the ice maker. Called Frigidaire and they gave me three local repair reps. Complete one was. They set up the appointment for the 21st, called on the 18th to confirm and to get product information so that they were prepared. Arrived shortly after calling me to let me know they were on the way. Checked the ice maker and connections, went to the basement to check the connection for the line leading to the ice maker. Determined the screen may be clogged and therefore was not letting enough water get to the ice maker. Replaced the filter, made a few adjustments and some recommendations. Was done in 40 minutes.

Customer was charged our normal and customary rate for repairing her dryer. She has a Samsung dryer; we are an authorized service center for Samsung. This means all our technician have to go through technical training, drug testing, and back ground checks. I am sure there are cheaper servicers out there who are not authorized, drug tested, etc. First, do they do Samsung dryer? Do they report their income and pay taxes as we do? Cheaper is not always better if cheaper means less quality. The problem with quality is you do know is not there until it is too late. I sure would hate to fly in an uncertified airplane.

Description of Work: a drain blocked with ice in the freezer compartment of my 2 year old kitchen aid fridge. Al came at the appointed time two days later, diagnosed and fixed the problem efficiently and in a pleasant manner.

Since it was a design defect, the repairman suggested that I contact the manufacturer to see if they would absorb some of the cost. I did so and the manufacturer picked up the majority of the repair costs. I had to wait a week for the necessary parts but Complete Appliance kept me in the loop and was able to install the parts the day after they arrived from the West Coast. As usual, I was very satisfied by the service and professionalism (as well as courtesy) we received.
Description of Work: Our 15 month old wash machine was dead when we returned from vacation. I tried a variety of the self-help recommendations to no avail and then contacted Complete Appliance repair. They came out two days later and determined that a control board had blown due to a design defect.

Scott arrived on time, was very neat and clean, place a pad down in front of the DW to protect the floor. Was very quick in checking the DW and confirming that the dispenser needed to be replace. Confirmed correct operation after repair. Cleaned up after himself.
Description of Work: replace dishwasher soap and jet dry dispenser

I called on Sunday and they promptly returned my call at 8:00 a.m. Monday morning. My icemaker isn't working. The person on the phone quoted $85.95 for a diagnostic visit, no labor, no parts, no repair, only a diagnosis for $85.95.
Description of Work: No services were performed because they priced themselves too high for the diagnostic visit.

Response from Complete Appliance Service Inc
THIS REVIEW IS ABSURD. WE RENDERED NO SERVICE YET HE RATES US A C. THE SERVICE CALL IS ONLY PART OF THE STORY. WE ARE AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER FOR LG. WE ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND YEARLY TRAINING SESSIONS, STOCK PARTS, AND OFFER TIMELY SERVICE. OUR SERVICE CALL ALSO INCLUDES WHATEVER AMOUNT OF TIME IT TAKES US TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. MOST COMPANIES CHARGE A SERVICE CALL PLUS TIME IN THE HOME WHICH BEGINS AS SOON AS THE TECHNICIAN IS IN THE HOME. THUS, WE ARE OFTEN CHEAPER THAN THE COMPETITION. HOWEVER, THE SERVICE CALL SAYS NOTHING ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE SERVICE RENDERED. CHEAPER IS NOT CHEAPER UNLESS ALL FACTORS ARE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION. I CAN FIND PLENTY OF CHEAP PRODUCTS ON THE MARKET BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE THEM GOOD. ONE THING ABOUT SERVICE STANDS OUT. YOU CANNOT HAVE CHEAP, QUICK, AND GOOD IN THE SAME JOB. A CHEAP JOB IS NOT QUICK AND GOOD, A GOOD JOB IS NOT QUCIK AND CHEAP, AND A QUICK JOB IS NOT CHEAP AND GOOD.
