Century Chimney Sweep Inc

We recently bought a new house with a fireplace so we wanted to have the chimney inspected as it was not evaluated during the home inspection. Contacted Century Chimney Sweep to set up an appointment and was called back the same day. They arrived on time and after inspecting the chimney determined no service was necessary, not even a cleaning. Very professional, would very highly recommend their services.

Gary (owner) of Century Chimney Sweeps is very communicative: answers questions; returns phone calls and takes time to find out what his customer wants. He is professional, pleasant and just a nice person to interact with. Century Chimney Sweep not only gets the job done, they get the job done timely. An appointment was made and they were there to meet the commitment. Service in all weather is provided and the work is guaranteed. Century Chimney worked on a roof a a three story home, in January, during snowy/sleet like weather conditions. I appreciated the entire experience of doing business with this company. I will use Century Chimney Sweep again.

We have used them like two or three times. He keeps his appointments on time. He is fast, efficient, and clean. The other thing is we have beige and cream colored rugs. They have to suck all that soot out.

Arrived promptly, was courteous and professional. The existing chimney damper was stuck open. In the past it would stick closed if there was snow, especially after using the chimney. I was a little shocked at the price but it is not a job I would ever do by myself. I never felt I was under any pressure. With the holiday season upon us, I decided to go ahead and get the job done. They were completely finished and cleaned up in little over half an hour.

Called him up after seeing reviews on Angies List. He set an appointment a week and a half ago and arrived on time as scheduled. Inspected my chimneys inside and out and did a small repair on the basement fireplace. Very polite, courteous and friendly - I would highly recommend this company.

He took a latter and put a stainless steal cap over the top of the chimney. He did a good job.

These guys were very friendly and came right on time. My disappointment is that they were in and out in no time at all. I realize they have to charge for a service call but $60 for about 10 minutes of time is a bit steep. My home inspector had said the chimney cap would need to be replaced but they said the case cover needed replacing and they do not perform that service. I'm sure these guys are probably great at what they do... unfortunately it cost me $60 to find out they could not help me.

Spoke with Gary on the phone and was able to schedule a cleaning within the week. Gary and Greg were prompt, professional, and fast. They even caulked a gap I had between my water heater flue pipe and the basement wall at no extra charge. Very happy with the service. Would hire again.

THEY WERE OUTSTANDING. I HAD DEALT WITH OTHER COMPANIES AND THEY ARE BY FAR THE BEST. THEY ARRIVED PROMPTLY AND INSTALLED FOUR CHIMNEY CAPS. MY CHIMNEY CAPS ARE STILL ON TWO YEARS LATER......I WILL USE THEM EXCLUSIVELY FOR ALL MY CHIMNEY NEEDS.

It went fine. They arrived as scheduled, did the work as detailed and left. No problems or complaints.

Installed two chimney caps, requested a possible chimney cleaning and tuckpointing. Gary informed me that none of the work was needed and explained why. He was early for the appoitment, responded to my inquiry within minutes. Very professional, would recommend and use again.

On time and completed the task very quickly. Cleaned up everything and left no mess. They also didn't try to sell me anything else that I didn't need. Would recommend and hire again!

They did a really nice job. They were very quick on the job. The owner and one other person came out to do the work and it took about an hour to complete everything. They did not leave any mess behind as well.

We could tell when we spoke with Gary on the phone for the first time that this would be a good experience. Pleasant, personable and very, very professional. They came out to sweep the chimney and told us we didn't really need to do it as the creosote wasn't as built up as we thought. But I requested that he do it anyway…but only for my peace of mind. He also gave us a quote for a treatment in the spring for water repellent. I highly recommend this company for their professionalism and the prices can't be beat!

It went very well. They showed up on time. There were two people working. They were very clean in the way they came in to get to the chimney. They took everything away and left everything the same. They checked the caps to make sure they were ok.

They returned my initial phone call within a day. Appointment was scheduled at noon on a Saturday and they showed up at exactly noon. Whole repair took only 25 minutes. They were fast, efficient, and professional. Our house is 85 years old and had the original damper that needed to be removed. They installed what's called a Locktop damper which sits at the top of the chimney. There is a steal cable that you use to open the damper from inside the fireplace box that is attached to the damper at the top of the chimney. The damper springs up when open and comes completely down covering the chimney when closed. They also took the time to let me know that the masonry work on the chimney looked pretty good except for some cement at the very top which he said isn't a big deal and could wait until spring.

he did an excellent job under difficult circumstances. To begin with, the chimney resys on a half circlr grindin wheel 2feet off the floor making it difficult to access. Then the grate can't be removed as it is larger than the opening. Despite this, they never complained and did excellent job with no mess.

It was a delight to work with Century Chimney. They showed up on time, inspected the chimney and completed the work in a very timely manner. They were polite and treated our home as if it were their own. They answered any questions we had and offered to show us pictures of some additional work that was needed. We would highly recommend them. GREAT Job Guys !!!

He came when he said he was going to, did what he needed to do, and he was out the door. We would defiantly recommend this company and plan to call him back annually.

They came out to do the estimate the day we called. Very friendly and professional. The cleaning and cap installation were done quickly and efficiently. They did not try to tell us we needed all kinds of repairs (as we have heard other companies do, as per a friend on the east side of town). We would not hesitate to use them again.

They were on-time, professional, told me what I needed to have fixed and more importantly, what I didn't need to have done. I'd hire them again and would recommend them to others.

These gentlemen were great. They showed up on time and finished early. They were honest and upfront and took time to explain what they could do for us. They were very nice and helpful. They were quick with getting back to us and we will definitely recommend them to anyone that asks.

He was prompt and unhurried. He answered all our questions and told us we did not need the chimney cleaned. We were happy to pay for an inspection for peace of mind that our fireplace is safe to use.

Gary is very professional and very willing to explain what he's doing and recommending. He gave me all of the information I asked for and then ultimately left it up to me to make the decision with what I was most comfortable doing. As far as I can tell, his work is of very high quality and he doesn't try to rip you off with unnecessary services. For example, he inspected my chimney but said that I didn't need it cleaned, and ended up not charging me for that because I had him do other work. I wish other service providers were like him.
