He did an excellent job and everything improved soon after the installation. The service rep was confident that the caps would take care of the problem and he was right. I would call him in the future.

They were professional, responsive and prompt. They were a little pricey. I cannot judge the quality because I don’t have a basis to judge.

They have been very good and have been coming out here every year. The last time I used their services was for chimney cleaning and masonry repair about a couple of months ago. I used them when they first started about 16 or 17 years ago. The price that they charge is good. They show up on time and they are professional. They also clean up after themselves.

We called to get the chimney cleaned. We'd just moved in and had no idea how long it had been. He was not just on time, but early. During the inspection, he discovered that the damper was in very poor shape. He gave us options and we replaced it. He outlined what we might need to look at doing in the next year -- but told us he wouldn't do one of the items on the list until the spring and the other one was if we had a problem this fire season. He was in and done so quickly and was totally tidy. Very professional and we are thrilled. Please note that while the price was higher than quoted on the phone, it was because something unexpected was found. He explained our options well and we chose what to do. We think the final price was totally fair.

We called Gary to come and clean our chimney and put an old cap (that we already had) back on the chimney. He scheduled us very quickly, came to the house exactly when he said he was going to, and took a look at our chimney and said that it didn't need to be cleaned. We just moved into our home, and didn't know when the chimney was cleaned last, so we really appreciated him being honest and saying that it didn't need a cleaning at this time. We bought a new chimney cap from him because ours' didn't have a cover over the top (to stop the rain from getting in), so we put that on for us. Very pleasant, honest and excellent work. We definitely will call Gary again in the future!

He came the next day after I called for an estimate. He had to reschedule two times because of rain but showed up exactly on time as soon as the weather cleared. He stayed with the original estimate of $150 but said I could probably use a cap on the chimney to keep the water from coming in and damaging the inside of the chimney further and that sounded like a good idea. He and his partner worked quickly and efficiently and were very nice to boot. They filled in cracks around the house that I didn't notice when he first gave the estimate and didn't charge extra for that. All round good experience. I was very happy with them. They cleaned up the place nicely.

Before we found Gary, we had tried one other chimney company- bottom line there's no comparison. We appreciated his honesty at his first visit for not charging us for an unnecessary cleaning. He's professional, honest and can teach you more about your chimney and fireplace than perhaps you've ever known. Recently, Gary was kind enough to refer us to the appropriate person for replacement of a gas starter pipe in our fireplace. We have him clean and inspect our chimney and fireplace annually. He is prompt, takes pride in his work and will continue to be our favorite chimney sweep.

Gary was on time, amiable, and efficient. He and an assistant made sure to keep the house clean and they were done in about a half an hour.

Century chimney was very prompt and professional (I really appreciated that he covered his shoes when entering our home!). The chimney inspection seemed to be a bit pricey ($69) for such a quick assessment. However, it was in line with the initial quote. We were quoted $500 to replace (5) chimney caps, (3) of which needed to be replaced immediately. We replaced the (3) chimney caps at $99 each. I would certainly recommend Century Chimney, and will use them again if the need arises in the future.

I found this company on Angie's List. The time of year I needed the work; most chimney sweep companies were unavailable. I was satisfied with the price. This is something that has to be done every five to six years. I have two chimneys so I had him do both while he was there. I will use this service again in the future.

I had called Century Chimney to come out and clean our chimney because we haven t used it since we bought our house and it probably wasn t used a few years before. Gary, the owner, came out personally and was right on time. They placed runners down to protect our hardwood floors. He told us we didn t need a cleaning but went up on the roof and checked everything anyway. He left us comments regarding possible issues, but nothing we needed to take care of right now. They were in and out and cleaned up everything. Very professional and knowledgeable.

They got there right on time, took care to keep the house clean, finished the job in a short period of time, got on the roof to inspect, despite snow and bad weather, and gave me advice on the condition of the chimney that was practical.

They were professional. He told me of some other work that I needed to have done. They came at the time they said they would. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves.

The owner Gary came and did the cleaning. He came when he said he would. He was neat and did not leave a mess. We were satisfied with his work. We would recommend him.

He is prompt if you call him before the weather gets cold and snowy. His prices are fine and reasonable for everything he checks. He is honest. He never pushes for anything.

The guys were good about putting down sheets to protect the wood floors, checked the damper, got on the roof and inspected the the stack. Everything was put back the way it was, including closing the damper.

I haven't used the chimney in a few years, so I had them come out and inspect my chimney. He did a nice job on cleaning and he also gave me a second opinion.

They checked everything inside the house, fireplace and chimney, also went on the roof the check everything, very thorough. They did not have to do any repairs this times, everything was great it was just perfect.

Gary & his assistant arrived on time prepared to do the job. They laid drop cloths down so as to not get any soot on our carpet. They expertly cleaned out my wood burning insert leaving no mess behind!

Extremely punctual and professional and were very upfront about not needing to perform unnecessary services. We did need new caps which we were aware of from our inspection, and Gary also provided contacts for some additional masonry work that we will need down the road. He was very easy to work with. While we currently have gas and may not need him in the near future, we may go back to woodburning and he would be the first I would call!

I needed two new concrete chimney caps and a new tile insert. They came the next day and installed both. The job was well done, their work was neat and they cleaned up well after the job. I was pleased with the promptness, professionalism and the price.

Gary and his helper arrived exactly when he said they would. They were polite, professional and answered all my questions. Originally called him out to just clean the fireplace, but also had him replace two rusty old chimney caps with new stainless steel ones with a rain cap. The old ones were well over 25 years old. He had all his supplies with him and finished everything in about an hour. The new damper is so much easier to operate. Also wrote down an estimate for additional outside chimney work I may want to have done next spring.

He is very professional. Arrived on time, price was great, very punctual.
