Bob's Appliance Repair

They were here within 2 and half hours of calling them, he repaired the washer rather than installing new parts and they gave me a free estimate. He handled the problem in a matter of minutes.

He was very pleasant and easy to work with. He was concerned with the amount of time I was without a dryer. However, I had been in and out of town and thus was not in a hurry. He happened to catch me on a Sunday and offered to come immediately to finish the repair. Hew says he will work on Sunday afternoon to accommodate working people.

There is a reason why Bob’s Appliance has a high rating on Angie’s list… I contacted Bob about an issue on my side by side refrigerator, it seems like it is degrading over time and I have to keep lowering the temperature by turning the thermostat cooler. He contacted me promptly, listened to me attempt to explain my issue, completely understood what I was saying and helped me by explaining it back to me. He provided me with something’s I should do as a consumer before he would need to come out, at the very least give those suggestions a chance to work and if they don’t then he nailed down exactly what would need to be done to resolve my issue. He also provided me with guidance on certain things I can do as a consumer for yearly maintenance on it… the man truly knows the first rule of running a business, treat your customers with respect! The really neat thing about all this, it didn’t cost me a penny. The unit still seems to be acting up and still not up to my expectations; I will be contacting him after the holidays to make the repair and stay turned for a follow up to this repair. UPDATE - I did call him back and asked that he take a look at it, because this was an intermittent issue I expected it might take a few visits to resolve. He came right out, took care of what he suspected was the issue by replacing two parts. A week or so later, it started acting up again, I called Bob and again, HE CAME RIGHT OUT, even on a Sunday. He nailed it on the second visit, took care of the service call and part and did not charge me anything additional. Don't even shop around if you are looking for applicance repair, Bob is all about customer and so pleasent to talk to!!!

The part was $132 and he thought it was so expensive that he didn't even charge me for the labor or service call. He was very neat and courteous. I am very impressed. I am very happy with his services and I highly recommend him.

Bob came to our house to fix the washing machine in June. As it turned out, there was a hole in the basket. I asked Bob if he thought it would be better for me to just buy a new machine. He said he had some luck at fixing holes and his price was reasonable. He said he would call me because it would take him a while to fix the machine. He left the casing for the washing machine off and told me he would get back to me. I called him at least two more times over the next few weeks but he never committed to fixing the machine. It was difficult to move in my laundry room because he left the case off--I was still using my dryer which wasn't broken. I went on vacation after about three weeks since calling Bob. Bob called my house while I was still on vacation (after several more weeks) and said he knew he was behind the 8 ball for fixing the machine and that he had repaired a hole for someone else. When I got home from vacation I bought a new machine since I use my washing machine on a regular basis and couldn't wait any longer. I'm sure Bob is a capable technician, but that doesn't help if he doesn't fix the problem in a reasonable time.

I have an old Crowne gas oven, which I inherited from the previous owner when I purchased my home in 1998. This oven was built in the early 1970's and is basically a "tank." It was made to last, unlike today's ovens. Bob has repaired my oven three times over the past 13 years. The most recent repair concerned the secondary pilot light not functioning properly. Bob spent over an hour, assessing the problem and then fixing it. When he had finished the repair work, I asked him for the bill. He merely looked at me and said, "No charge." What a surprise! He did indicate that the fix may only be temporary and that the pilot unit may have to be replaced at some point in time. In the meantime, he would look for the part if and when it's needed. Bob is extremely knowledgeable, and I would venture to say "a perfectionist." I won't have anyone else look at my oven other than Bob. He is an extremely busy man, and it's sometimes difficult to reach him. But in the long run, the wait is well worth it.

Our dryer would not finish the cycle. Bob and an assistant lubricated the timer motor and asked me to call again if the problem continued. He had us write down the timer number and model number just in case. We called him back to tell him the dryer was not working properly. They returned and replaced the motor on the timer. It is working fine now. They were quick and efficient and very friendly. I will definitely call Bob again if i need an appliance repaired.

I came to know about Bob's Appliance Repair through Angie's list. It is a very old washer and it took him about a week to find the timer and come and install it. He really explained everything about not only the repair, but how to take care of the appliance also. He is really professional. He came out to repair our refrigerator for us and while he was there, he looked at the dishwasher and he started talking about the dishwasher. He took the dishwasher apart and cleaned it out and put it back together for free. I would use his service in the future too.

Everything was just great as I explained above. Both Bob and his assistant are high energy, professional, and very knowledgeable. I liked the fact that Bob was more than willing to try to save our work horse refrigerator. In fact, he encouraged us to get repairs rather than rushing to replace the unit. I would highly recommend him.

He is amazing and very professional. He should be the first person you call, not only does he do great work but he also has a wealth of knowledge to help you in making informed decisions about the next right step (repair/replace).

A couple of days before the new year, the dryer of my stackable washer and dryer unit blew out. I contacted Bob on New Year's Eve and left a message about my problem. I was surprised to receive a return call late on New Year's day. We scheduled an appointment for the next day. Bob was a little behind on his arrival time but when he got to my home he was very professional and effctient. He even gave me tips on how to maintain my appliances. The bill was very reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to call on Bob again to help with my appliances.

Amazing service. Extremely knowledgable. Offered excellent purchase advice. Did not push us towards a specific brand or seller, just straight up "get the least expensive fridge to meet your specific needs because the cheapest to most expensive use the same crappy compressors. Consider an extended warranty, just make sure it covers spoilage. Oh, and a second fridge comes in handy" The guy was awesome.

I cannot say anything bad about our experience with Bob. We called Bob early Saturday morning to repair the agitator on our Kenmore washing machine which stopped working. Bob came to our house later that same morning with replacement part in hand. He obviously knew what part was needed from the information we gave him on the phone. I was very impressed! He worked professionally and efficiently and had the washer repaired in less than 45 minutes. He was also friendly and exchanged conversation as he worked. The repair price seemed very reasonable, considering that our washer was non-operational before his visit. We asked for a receipt, but he said writing a receipt would slow him down and that he would send one in the mail. I thought that would be the last we heard from him, but about mid-week we received the promised receipt. I was blown away with his excellent service, and I can't recommend him highly enough to others.

Bob provided great service. I had a immediate to evaluate/fix an existing Sears Kenmore washer and dryer at an investment property in Lakewood. The washer and dryer had been treated harshly be the previous tenants and Bob did a total overhaul on these appliances and got them in working order. He showed up the day I called him and performed me a great service.

Bob spent almost two hours repairing the oven. It's an old Crowne oven built in the early '70's, so parts are difficult to come by. Bob remembered that he had a part (last one) at his home and drove back to his house to get it. He returned and installed the part. He made adjustments so that the the oven would ignite in a reasonable amount of time (less than one minute). In the past, it would take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes for the oven to ignite until it ceased functioning. He is a perfectionist and wasn't satisifed until the oven was absolutely perfect. He did a great job getting my 40-year-old relic working perfectly.

Bob was prompt, courteous, and went way above the call of duty. It shows that he really cares about what he does and the people he works for. I would recommend him to anyone.

Quickly fixed my stove and very professional.

Bob responded very quickly to my call. He was able to diagnose the problem over the phone due to the type of refirgerator I had. (freezer drawer on bottom) He gave me instructions how to care for the food in my freezer and came the next day to fix it. One week later it started to warm up again, and he returned the next day and fixed whatever that problem was at no charge. I have used Bob's services in the past, and would not hesitate to call him in the future.

He came on a Sunday morning to do the repair. He did a very good job at a very reasonable price. He gave us the name of another person to fix our dishwasher because he didn't work on that brand. That guy didn't charge us anything for that repair. I was very happy with Bob and I kept his card.

Bob repaired the oven quickly and efficiently. I have an old Crown oven which hasn't been manufactured in years. He knew exactly what to do in order to get the burner working again.

Our basement had flooded a couple days before, so I was in the midst of washing countless loads of wet rugs and laundry when our very old washer broke. I called Bob's Appliance Service, left a message, and he promptly returned my call. I wasn't sure whether our washer was repairable, or whether it would be worthwhile to repair it. Bob asked detailed questions to diagnose the problem, then explained the options very clearly to me. After discussing the options and answering all of my questions, we decided it would be best to buy a new washer and dryer from him. Our dryer was also on it's last legs, so it was worthwhile to get the package deal and buy both. Bob came out the very next day to install our new washer and dryer, and he removed and disposed of both of our old appliances. Money was tight for us because we were in the midst of getting some home repairs done, and we were dealing with the unexpected expenses that arose from our basement flooding. Bob was understanding and simply wonderful; he was happy to allow us to pay for our new appliances in three payments over three months. He was very flexible, and allowed us to determine our own payment plan. Bob is clearly prepared and willing to go above and beyond for his customers. We are extremely happy with our new appliances. We will happily refer our friends and family to Bob for repairs and/or purchases.

Called early This AM, bob answered the office phone, listened to my issue and said he could come out this AM--scheduled a time convenient with my work schedule, arrived on time and completed the repair in less than 40 minutes for half of what other folks had estimated for the repair. Excellent service!

Pleasant. He is busy but does return his messages in a timely fasion. Seems very honest and reasonable!

I called and told him the problem. He said he could come out and fix it or he was willing to stay on the phone and explain to me how to fix it myself, because he thought he knew exactly what the problem was. He stayed on the phone with me as I did it myself. I really appreciated him doing that for me and will use him again in the future. I can not say enough good things about him.

Bob is very courteous and gave me an honest evaluation of the condition of my washing machine. He replaced the faulty bearing, belt and even did some minor work on my dryer. I think the price was fair and honestly believe he would not have performed the work on my washer, if it was not worthwhile to do so.
