Great except for the bad news that our boiler should probably be replaced.

They were right on the money for this emergency. They were very careful. They have maintained my furnace for many years. They have a good price. I will continue to use them in the future.

The service technician in the fall of 2006 told me the furnace was ancient but still safe. A year later a newer technician detected some tiny cracks. The owner himself came to discuss replacements and recommended a lower priced model based on the length of time I plan to be in the house. The work was completed neatly and on schedule. The AC was replaced in the spring when the weather permitted (they contacted me; I did not have to chase them).

It went really good. They told me exactly what I would be charged. The estimate was very accurate. They were on time and were very knowledgeable in what they were doing.

I called the company, based on info in "Angie's List". A rep come a week later (summer is time for high volume calls to air conditioning firms). The service man was friendly, courteous and professional as he went about the tasks of checking the unit and providing needed chemical.

They make sure everything is running well. In the past they have done some plumbing work for me. They put a new faucet in my bathtub. Every time I have ever had them they do an excellent job.

Ok. They showed up as scheduled and were polite and businesslike.

My a/c unit had completely stopped working. I called one large company that came out and reported that I would need a new unit as the motor was dead. I was prepared to buy but wanted to get a couple more quotes. I called Verne and Ellsworth Hahn and spoke directly to Mr. Hahn. He told me he would not be able to come out until next week (approximately 6 days). His tone and verbage let me know that he was way too busy to stop at my home which is less than a half mile from their main office. The other two companies I called came the next day, one from the opposite side of town. Very disappointed. I would never call again for anything.

Chris came and gave me an estimate as well as lots of information to help me make an informed decision. I called him several times with questions before hiring them, and he was very patient and had all the answers I needed. He suggested that we get the air conditioning evaporator coils installed now if we thought we might ever get air conditioning because it would be easiest and least expensive to do while the furnace was being installed. However, he never pressured us to do anything we didn't want to do. Our new furnace is a high efficient model, and we look forward to saving some money on natural gas this winter.

They are professional and knew their stuff. I would recommend that people consult with them to get an estimate.

He offered tips if it was to start doing certain things. He offered to come back if it did not work. They were very friendly. They were able to come out quickly. If something comes up they will call you to tell you when they will be able to be there.

They kept our boiler going, and we liked using them because they were in our neighborhood. They are a bit expensive.

They did excellent work. Reasonably priced.

They were excellent! I was impressed that they advised that all the asbestos be sealed in the pipes before anyone coming in. They were very professional and really knew what they were doing.

The leak was completely repaired. I was very pleased with his work. They had good workers. I would recommend them to anyone.

It went very well. The appointment was for 8 a.m., and the plumber arrived 15 minutes early. He was very courteous and did all he could to make the procedure tidy, including covering the bathroom floor with a dropcloth. The estimated time for installation had been an hour and a half but he finished everything in just over one hour.

Unfortunately their weekend rates are very expensive. The second guy was really great. I believe there is a one year warranty on the work in my case. I would call them again in an emergency. The price I gave is for BOTH repairs and calls. I did get other estimates and Verne was in the ballpark of the other estimates. They have high weekend and response rates, but it appears to be standard for the industry. I would call them again in an emergency.

They do great work, and have helped us out of predicaments on short notice. They give good advice and I would continue to use them.

We bought a new hot water boiler, and had asbestos removed/encapsulated. So, the boiler cost was actually only $5,685.00. Chris was super friendly and smart. I felt absolutely no pressure to use his company, but I knew I would be foolish to go elsewhere. My wife and I knew our boiler was about to give out, and we had to deal with a cold home for four weeks. Chris gave us great advice on how to pay for a new boiler. If we had spoken to him earlier, our home could have been warmer two weeks earlier. We are very, very happy with our new boiler. Our home is warmer than it has ever been before. The workmanship was excellent. The whole job took one and half days. The whole process went smoother than I ever expected. I have taken pictures of my new boiler to show off to friends. CHRIS IS THE OWNER AND CAME OUT THE FIRST DAY. HE INVITED US TO THEIR PLACE OF BUSINESS TO SHOW US THE ENTIRE FURNACE SYSTEM SINCE I AM NEW TO THIS TECHNOLOGY. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND INFORMATIVE. HE MADE SURE THAT ALL THE WORK WAS BEING DONE CORRECTLY ONCE THE JOB STARTED. HE PROMISED THIS WOULD BE A QUIET FURNACE WHICH IT DEFINITELY IS. BECAUSE IT WAS VERY COLD OUTSIDE THE TWO DAYS THEY WERE WORKING ON THE FURNACE, AND WE HAD NO HEAT IN OUR HOUSE, THEY BROUGHT TWO SPACE HEATERS TO HELP KEEP US WARM. THE TWO YOUNG MEN THAT PUT THE FURNACE IN WERE PROMPT, EFFICIENT AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES SO WELL THAT YOU COULDN'T EVEN TELL THEY WERE HERE. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS. WE DIDN'T COMPARE PRICES TO OTHER COMPANIES, SO I COULDN'T GRADE THE PRICE.

Everyone I dealt with was wonderful. The office was patient as I worked to schedule their visit around my work hours, and the technician answered all my questions about the service he performed, the condition and operation of my furnace, and the care of the system. All in all, a very professional encounter from a company pleasant to deal with and who didn't try to rip me off or pad the bill. I will be calling them again to do the furnace cleaning they recommended.

My boiler was old and had to be "hotwired" in the morning to heat the house. A lot of the radiators didn't heat well or evenly. Bill came out and gave me an estimate. My boiler was installed a few weeks later. After reading comments on Angie's list on the top 3 heating companies, I did not get other estimates and am totally satisfied with the work and friendliness of this company. We are so happy with our new boiler, my husband doesn't have to "hotwire" to get the heat on and doesn't have to add water to it. The new boiler is smaller than the one we used to have and my house has never heated so well and every room heats the same.

The person I spoke with on the phone was kind but aloof.

I called the plumber because I thought I was going to have to replace my toilet since it wouldn't flush very well and I had snaked it which didn't help. They were very prompt in setting up an appointment and then called me to say they could come sooner if I wanted. Bill came and worked on the port in the toilet and loosened a lot of sediment. The toilet began to flush just right. I was very pleased to know that I wouldn't have to get a new toilet. I asked Bill to fix the faucets in the bathroom and kitchen, which he did. The whole job was done in less than 45 minutes. I feel comfortable in calling him again.
