They have always been very nice and polite, and certainly punctual and do what they need to do. We would certainly recommend them.

They are very good. They are not cheap.

My husband is so furious with Zimmer Heating & Cooling. That pump that pumps the condensation from the furnace through a tube that goes across the basement ceiling to the laundry sink and then the condensation empties into the sink. It's like a yellowish, distilled water type stuff that has something to do with the furnace and all that. They originally put in the air conditioner and the furnace and all that kind of stuff. But, the condensation pump broke and that water needs to be drained, all the way across the ceiling, from the furnace and over to the laundry sinks. They charged him way over $300.00 and some dollars for a pump that he could have gone online and bought and installed himself for less that $50.00. He is so furious about the price gouging. It's totally ridiculous. It's an outrageous price. We have spent a ton of money with Zimmer. We bought a new furnace and air conditioner. Online, the part is $30.00. They charged me $388.00. All I wanted was a couple of screws. Their quality of work was great. It was just the price. I talked to the secretary over there and she said, "You went online and those people can buy that stuff at wholesale prices." I said, "Well, with him being in the business, he ought to be able to get a better price than even I can on wholesale pricing." She said she would tell him. I said, "I'm not angry. But I'm not pleased either. I don't know if I'm going to call you guys back." We didn't hear anything back from them. We normally let them do Spring and Fall, servicing on the furnace and the air conditioner. If something happens, we're going to find another Carrier dealer and hopefully, find someone that's reasonable on their prices.

He came out and gave the best estimate. He even did the service call for free. The quality of the installation has been wonderful and I have no problems since. He was knowledgable and he always knows all of the answers. I have been using him also in my actual home too. He is so great that I refer him to everyone, friends and family etc.

They are very good. We use them for all our homes, and love working with them.

I had another company install my unit a month ago. A few days after when changing my filter I noticed water builing up in the bottom of it. I called the installer and he came out six times and still could not figure out the problem. It was driving me crazy. I decided to call in someone from Zimmer that had worked on my old system years ago. Lucky my wife still had his card and I was able to ask the company to send him out. His name is Scott Beetz. Scott listened to all my story and started looking into things. In the end he said all I needed was a coil cleaning to get the factory preservitive off the coils. At first I figured this was not going to work. After all something so simple could not be the answer. Not after a month of trying all different things.Long story short the problem was solved.It sure will be nice to sleep well tonight and not have to spunge up water in the morning:-) In the future if anything happens I will only call Zimmer.Live and learn.

The installers were prompt and cleaned up everything when they were done. The job was professional and through. Chris also got us helped us get in touch with the Energy Alliance of Cincinnati and we were able to save allot though rebates and grants. $8900 was the total that we spent minus rebates and grants.We couldn't be happier with the product or the service. We actually had a service call on a Sunday and the technician was at my door within an hour and quickly diagnosed a minor issue that was a push button repair. I recommend Zimmer to anyone.

I lived in Michigan and my rental house is in Cincinnati Ohio , and I do appreciate the helpful recommendation of Angie's List of Services .

Overall the project went FANTASTIC! Mark Tallen quoted the project and was very thorough and professional. He initially took notes like house dimensions, insulation levels, types of windows, old furnace size and old AC size and a few other things. ( I had been doing my own research online on how to find a good HVAC contractor and everything I saw stated that a good contractor will ask those questions and do a "load calculation") He was the only one who took the right notes and figured the "load calculations" for our house. I had a total of four HVAC contractors submit quotes for the work. Zimmer was not the cheapest bid and not the most expensive bid either, but they had the best bid as far work to be done and total system design. Mark visited late afternoon on Wednesday, emailed a proposal Thursday morning as promised. I accepted the proposal on Friday morning. Work started on Monday morning at 8:30am (right on time again). They sent three guys for the demo work which took about an hour and a half. After our old furnace was out of the house (which had to be taken out in pieces) they went right into the installation of the new system. Their objective for the first day was to get the new furnace in and get the heat on the house which they accomplished effortlessly. Day two - Tuesday - they arrived at 8:30 (right on time again, these guys don't mess around). Now it was just the two installers and you could tell that these guys knew exactly what they were doing. One went to work on the AC, the other on the furnace. Since our house is older and our old furnace was installed in the early 70's, the electrical wire was not up to snuff for this new system. They ran new wire and replaced the breakers to match the new system. They do the job right, there was no "slapping the system in and making it work". The installers took the time to show me how to use the new thermostat and the basics of the system before they left. These guys were very experienced and quality minded and it showed! Also the installers were very courteous and professional and very approachable. During the whole installation, Mark stopped by a few times to check on the progress and make sure everything was going smoothly and to answer any questions that I might have had, which impressed me. Before the installers left on the second day (Tuesday) I got a call from Debbie at Zimmer to set up an appointment for a service tech to visit in a couple of days to perform a "start up" on the furnace. They like to check settings and check system functionality after the furnace has been running for a couple of days. If anything needs to be addressed they take care of it on the spot. Matt the service tech showed up on Thursday (right on time) 10am for the "start up" and knew exactly what to do and went right to work. He also took the time to answer any of my questions and showed me more functionality of the thermostat and made sure everything was set properly. They will be back out in the spring to do a start up on the AC One thing to note: Mark's proposal was all inclusive. This included install, the duct work, equipment, start up visits etc... There were no surprises! Overall the folks at Zimmer were great to work with and they all knew the systems and were able to answer any questions that I had. We had a Carrier Performance 96 furnace installed with a Carrier 16 SEER single stage AC. We have lived in our house for 11 years and it has never felt this comfortable. The upstairs and the downstairs are the same temperature, finally! Thanks Zimmer, you guys did a GREAT job! I am very much a DIY'r and don't like to let contractors into my house, but you all are very impressive and we will call you next time we need HVAC services.

All went well--workers were polite and considerate and cleaned up when finished.

My only complaint is the $140 weekend charge just for showing up. The interaction with the company from the first telephone call until they were done was flawless.

They are very prompt, and this time even early. They are very professional and seem to know what they are doing. They work quickly and without needing any additional help.

Its a gas furnace and he cleaned the grate (the metal tubes where the fire burns) really well. Nobody had ever actually taken that part out before and cleaned it with water. Because of that the furnace ran better than it has in a long time, all winter long.

Called for troubleshoot of leaking and laboring unit. Technician resolved that problem and charged us $100 but after he left, blower on air conditioner wasn't working. First technician told us their work was guaranteed. After several phone calls and days passing new technician arrived who got the unit working but who said we needed a new circuit board and thermostat which he'd order and install. About 10 days passed. We called. Office took message and said they'd call back. They didn't. We called again day or two later. They didn't call back. We called again. They called back, were apologetic, said the part had arrived and it would be installed later that day. We called at 3:45 when technician had not arrived. We were told he would arrive in around 45 minutes. He rang our bell at 5:30. Installed the thermostat and circuit board and charged us $400.

Most recently, our upstairs AC unit would not start. Zimmer sent a serviceperson the very afternoon I called. He got the system running, then monitored its function to make sure it was performing well.. It is an older unit with a limited lifespan, and when we need to replace it, we will start with Zimmer.

The service person was there several hours after I called and completed the work in less than an hour. He figured out the problem quickly, had the part on hand, replaced it and the furnace was back to running. Good job and would go through them again.

We found Zimmer Heating & Cooling from Angie's List. We chose them because of the rating for them. They were very good. They were very prompt and professional. We had a problem with getting the heat adjusted afterwards. They came back and made some readjustments for us. They gave excellent customer service. Their price was excellent. I would use them in the future too.

Our furnace went out. I called at @ 8 am and they were there within a couple hours. Scott was knowledgable, professional, friendly but at the same time respected my time as well. We are planning to purchase a service contract with them (bi-annual clean/inspect) for our furnace & A/C.

They come when you call and come quickly. They will work until the repair is completed. Last winter our heating system went out, and they had to do a lot of work to make the repair, and they were just great. The have also repaired my mother in law's furnace and did a great job. They are just a wonderful company. I have never seen a bill that I thought was out of line.

No complaints. The serviceman was on time and performed the service/inspection. I don't seem to have any problems with my furnace. The nicest thing was that he actually drove back to the shop to get two furnace filters for me, brought them back and installed one of them (and showed me how to do it) and didn't charge me for them. I signed a contract for routine service.

They were not very punctual. I like the technician that comes to my home. He was very respectful. I believe we received a very good deal.

A/C not working, suspected low on Freon. Called Zimmer they stated they could be out the next day, scheduled appointment. Tech showed up found unit was 2 pound low on Freon. Added 2 pound of freon for $137, way too high. Technician stated that he let someone else use his leak detection unit and would have the company call me the following day. They did not call so I called myself 2 days later. A week after filling the unit same tech showed up and found a faulty cap, replaced and retested stating that the leak had been corrected. My problem is that it took a second trip and an additional $62 to scan the unit after paying $137 for freon the week before. I have no idea how much had leaked out for one week to the next. Also knowing filling an A/C unit with 2 pounds of freon that was only 3 years old, leaving and waiting a week to check the system. First I feel that is less than professional to show up without the equipment needed to preform properly check the system. Secondly this could be a violation of the clean air act to fill a unit with freon knowing that it is only 3 years old and waiting a week to look for leaks. Overall I wold look for another company that has techs that show up with the right equipment and do not charge an additional $62 to check for leaks after charging $79 just to show up.

Went very well, very professional and experienced at reasonable cost.
