First, when we called to see if they repaired a soft tub pump motor, they failed to mention it would be at least two weeks before they could even look at it. Then, when they did look at after having it for 2-3 weeks, they determined they could not repair it and gave it back to us in pieces. When we subsequently explored repairing it ourselves by using video guides, we ascertained that the part of the unit they opened was done carelessly and roughly, and the critical part where the repair was needed was never opened. The only good news was they did not charge us to do what they did to our unit. This is the first time we have offered a strongly negative review of an otherwise well-rated Angie's List company. I hope it was an anomaly.

The electric motor to my fairly new Sears Table Saw froze, and Sears said it no longer made a replacement for it. Suggested I buy a new table saw ($800.... right...). So much for lifetime warranties. I am done with Sears. So, I set out to find a place that could repair my motor. It took me a long time to find this place, but I knew there is usually one in every major city.... and these are the guys. A little, hard to find shop in Norwood, but well worth the look. They repaired and refurbished my electric motor, (new run capacitor and bearings) painted it and had it done in three days.... and far more cheaply than buying a new motor or table saw. I recommend them without reservation. I wanted to get this posted on Angie's List so that others could find these guys.

Wheatley Electric Service has overhauled my swimming pool motor (at least three times) and septic system motor (at least three times) since 1987. Their work is high quality and do provide a one year warranty. During 2005, the septic system motor, after overhaul, failed in six months. Wheatley Electric promptly replaced the motor bearings, the original batch determined as being defective. Their reputation in my experience has been quite good and consistent.
