Description of Work: They relined with copper my box gutter, replacing the rotten wood and repainting where necessary. They kept in touch with me advising of progress and additional costs (the extent of the rotted wood was unknown at the start of the project). I am impressed with their professionalism and communication process.

Description of Work: We used Durable Slate to repair some slate tiles on a early 1900's shelter house. The work was done quickly with no impact on the surrounding area. The price wasn't extremely high but it was a little higher than other companies. After seeing the quality of work performed I think that small investment over the other company was well worth it.

Description of Work: Have used Durable Slate Roofing several times to repair weather damaged slates. Our roof is 85 years old and still serviceable if cared for. Repaired several loose or cracked slates, previously they have repaired copper flashings too. After work is done, a quality control worker visits to review the work.

Description of Work: My husband called Durable Slate the weekend of October 16th for a roofing estimate. We received a phone call from them on Monday, October 19th and discussed the job. Their representative said they would have someone out later that weekend to look at the roof, and then they would get back to us regarding an estimate. We have not heard from Durable Slate since this initial phone call... over three weeks ago. (This is one of four companies we called for an estimate. The other three companies provided us with estimates within a week of our initial phone call.)

Description of Work: DURABLE SLATE CHARGED $75.00 TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE ON A 49K HOUSE. THEY PRICED THE ROOF REPAIR AT 46K BUT INDICATED THEY WOULD BE HAPPY TO REMOVE THE SLATE FOR FREE AND STRIP THE ROOF FOR SHINGLES. SLATE TYPE WAS BUCKINGHAM 500 YEAR SLATE AND MAIN ROOF ONLY NEEDED REPAIRS NOT REPLACEMENT. WHEN ASKED IF THEY WOULD SELL A CUSTOMER THE SLATE FOR SELF INSTALLATION OR INSTALLATION BY THIRD PARTY, THEIR RESPONSE WAS ''NO! WE HAVE THE MARKET CORNERED.'' PLEASE NOTE THEY CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, BUT I RECEIVED THE IMPRESSION THAT ALL THEY WANTED WAS THE SLATE TO RESELL SO THEY PURPOSELY BID THE JOB HIGH IN ORDER TO GET THE SLATE FOR FREE (EXCHANGE FOR REMOVAL).
