Sure Thing Pest Control

I was working in the yard and got stung by a hornet. I noticed that the nest was located behind my a/c unit and they were coming in and out of the brick work. We contacted Sure Thing and they came out the next day and removed the nest. They even found a second entry point the hornets were using on a different side of the house. It's been nearly a month since they treated the area, and I've not seen another hornet, which is comforting since I have a three year-old and pair of dogs. I would definitely recommend this business, and will use them again in the future myself.

I called the company to make an appointment. Technician came out on the date and time agreed upon. It was not obvious where the ants were coming from. However after he applied the treatment the ant problem was rectified.

Jason did a thorough and professional job of looking for the source of the ants coming into our home in a couple of rooms. He used techniques that made him (and me) confident that he found the source. Time will tell, of course. He treated inside and outside of the home and explained what should happen over the next several days. He explained the type of product used and was sensitive to the fact that we have children and pets in our home.

It was a learning experience, such as black snakes can come around home looking for mice. All sort of knowledge was shared that it made me feel safe and secure for myself and grandkids. Knowing that they will be back in September or just a phone call away was reassuring.

For the first time since we moved into our new house 14 years ago, we've had mice in my kitchen. After getting four with snap traps I needed help in determining how they were getting in and next steps. Mark from Sure Thing Pest Control did a great job in finding possible entrances into the house. As he showed me, it only takes a quarter inch hole for them to get in. Mark plugged the two spots. I'll be chatting with my heating/cooling folks because of the obvious hole where the air conditioning tubes enter the house, they were just here last week doing the annual maintenance. Mark also took care of an ant issue as well as yellow-jacket nest. Sure Thing did a great job and will recommend them to anyone who needs this service.

We moved into our new home and noticed an abundance of ants. I called and Mark came out the same day. He was on time, professional, explained everything he was going to do. I am very pleased with the service and look forward to working with him.

Seemed to go well. Jason came to do the inspection and inside and outside treatment for ants. Jason was very nice, professional, explained everything he was doing, along with what it was. Explained what to expect after treatment and for me to call if I was still having problems after two weeks or so. I was very pleased with this visit seemed to be very through. I've had other companies come out in the past and they didn't seem to be as efficient and didn't do as much. Really appreciated Jason's professionalism and amount of time he took for the treatment. Seemed very knowledgeable about the treatment.

I purchased a quarterly package Mark, the technician, is professional, polite, punctual, accommodating and very well informed. He came to my home two days in a row because the first day it was pouring rain and he did not want to do outdoor application until the rain ended.

The company messaged me through Angie's List, then called me to confirm my appointment day and time. The tech was punctual, professional, listened to my description of the problem, then spent about 40 minutes going around the house to establish a perimeter that would kill the ants when they crossed it. He did not treat anywhere inside the house, but explained that the ants would need to retreat to their colony which would kill them. It's been 3 weeks and I have only seen ants outside the house not on the deck, in the kitchen, or in our front hall. I don't expect a one time treatment to last longer than this summer so it appears that treating ants will be an ongoing expense. We have a large house about 30 feet away from thick woods where tons of bugs live.

I purchased the $411 deal through Angie's List. They contacted me within a day to set up the appointment. Everyone I spoke with was very courteous and professional. We have woods on our property, so we had beetles, spiders, stink bugs, and a couple other mystery bugs in the back yard. It's been a little over 2 weeks since we've had our first treatment and so far so good. Thanks for making our garage and patio grill out ready!

Agent came on time (actually early); saw evidence of carpenter ants, and knew how to deal with them. He sprayed the affected areas, as well as the baseboards and around the house foundation. The treatment has been very effective; the signs we'd seen of the ants (wood dust, etc) haven't recurred. VERY pleased with the service.

I was contacted the same day I purchased the deal from Angie's list. Based on my work schedule, they did not want to wait to come out on a day that I was home during the week so they offered to come out on a Saturday. The Service Provider arrived as scheduled and walked through my house and around the house to ensure that he was treating everything we needed. He also provided some tips on how to prevent the carpenter ants we have. Because we have children, he made sure not to use any aerosol products. We were also told that if we notice any other insects (such as bees and wasps which were not in season at the time) after they treated to give them a call and they would come out as part of the package without any additional costs. Since they treated, our insect and spider issues have been much better. For about a week after treatment, we noticed spiders throughout the house instead of just the basement, but since the treatment killed their food source, it is not surprising that they would come out looking for food. After another week, we have only seen a few centipedes and 1 or 2 spiders throughout the main areas of the house. It seems to get better each day.

Sure Thing has provided pest control for my daughter's rental house for the last two years with satisfactory service. When she recently purchased a new home, she wanted to get several bids for quarterly pest control service. Sure Thing was by far less expensive than others checked. By purchasing the year service package on Angie's List, she saved over $100. I will say that the first couple of calls to check on pricing were a little frustrating as the receptionist was rather short and vague answering questions regarding any additional costs, etc. The third call I spoke with someone much more pleasant who answered every question and did her best to get service scheduled in a matter of days. I usually don't give them three chances to get my business but we had had good past experiences with excellent pest control, especially when calling in between scheduled visits. The technician arrived promptly when scheduled and went over the program even though he knew my daughter had used his services in a prior residence. He treated the entire perimeter and the two main levels in the house. He didn't treat the basement since they hadn't noticed any bugs in the area yet, however he would have if they had requested him to do so. I found this a little odd as I thought the first treatment should routinely include the basement. However, he made sure to point out that he would return at any time if new problems arose or the treatment did not take care of the ants, etc. So far so good as most of the insects that were noticed seem to be under control. Given the history of quality of service of using this provider, I am hoping things go well over the rest of the yearly contract.

Ken, the technician was awesome. He took the extra time to explain how the termites arrived and what he was doing to resolve the problem. I will use this company in the future for maintenance and other pest issues should they arise.

I have to say that I don't usually write reviews but in this situation I wanted to make sure that people know what a good experience I had with Sure Thing Pest Control. My issue was ants! Nothing I did could control them and keep them from getting in my house. It turns out these were odorous ants that are very difficult to control I purchased a special through Angies list for a yearly plan. It was very easy and ended up working out well. The plan gave me 4 treatments over a 1 year period with a guarantee. From Start to finish they were excellent. The schedulling department were very courteous and helpful. I had several conversations with them and they were able to accomodate everything I needed. The service person was on time, and did a fantastic job. He even went above and beyond by giving me tips on how to remove field mice from my property. Needless to say, my ant problem is no more. On top of that, I had a stink bug problem and they are gone too...Bonus! Overall this was a great experience and I would recommend Sure Thing Pest Control to anyone that needs to get rid of the bugs.

I called Sure Thing and requested a conventional treatment for termites after finding a porch column completely eaten away at the bottom. The house has had termites before, so I was convinced they were back. Sure Thing sent Ken out to do an inspection. He spent an hour and a half checking the exterior, interior, and even the shed (which I was also sure was being eaten by termites). He found no termite activity and said the wood was simply rotted from getting consistently wet. He did find termites in a rotted stump, but that is to be expected. He also found a nest of pavement ants and sprayed it, because we've had issues with them getting into the house. Ken is incredibly knowledgeable about his craft, and has worked for some of the companies that make termiticides. He's very familiar with termite behavior and varieties, and it shows. So when he said he saw nothing that concerned him, I was quite relieved. Instead of selling me an expensive termite treatment I didn't need, Ken actually talked me out of it. He did notice a lot of carpenter ant activity, and recommended a treatment for those which we will likely get done in a few months. And if I have any other pest problems at all, I'll definitely call Sure Thing. The company, and especially Ken, are definitely folks you can trust. Oh, and after spending an hour and a half examining my entire property, Ken didn't charge me a dime. I would have gladly paid for such a thorough inspection!

Within 24 hours, we found a few dead cockroaches around the house and haven't seen them since. We are extremely impressed with Sure Thing Pest Control and would recommend them to anyone who is in need of their service.

What a difference! We are surrounded by woods and I'd never lived with so many bugs in my life! I only wish we'd starter sooner.

We had a problem with ants in the house. They came out and treated and we have them quarterly to treat the outside of our home. They let us know when to expect them and have always been courteous and professional. They took care of the original problem and we have not had a pest problem since. I would recommend this company.

I have been using the company for about a year and a half. They come out quarterly or whenever I need them to. They have been able to keep the pests away. The staff is very responsive and have great customer service. Their pricing is fair. I really like that they do not have a national call center and that they are local.

I think they were very professional. They obviously took my call and they sent the person out who was going to be taking care of everything. He was very professional and he got his work done both inside and outside the home. I think they typically do the outside and inside the first time, and then just do the outside unless they see something. I had explained to them that I would prefer that they do inside as well every quarter and they were fine with that. So I was pleased with them.

Ken showed up exactly at the appointed time and was extremely knowledgeable about what we were looking at. He asked if I want to set an appointment or do the work now. We did it then and as I asked questions he cheerfully explained all about the process and how long it would take to kill them. We also talked about how these bugs reacted to the sprays that were being applied and how the were similar to bees with a queen and king and drone workers that took the spray back to the nest on their skin, that was hairy and could catch the foamy spray and take it with them. After we settled up, Ken and I talked a little about life and family. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience as being both professional and friendly. Who says that you can't be happy and pay out money.
