Sure Thing Pest Control

Terry inspected for termites and only found them where I had found them in the porch. I was concerned about repairs and damaged wood and he suggested putting new board along side of the damaged joist under porch. I was very happy to get this advice. He explained about digging trenches and using chemicals to kill termites, but when I said I was sensitive to chemicals, he recommended bait system. I was grateful for this. He said garage did not need anything, only to treat house. I was happy about that. Actual treatment went well. I asked that one station be moved and we did it. He explained, and answered questions. Different person did treatment.

We had noticed yellow jackets inside our home for about 2 weeks. It started with one here and there, then we had 12 or so. On Thursday I decided that we needed a professional. The gentleman that answered the phone was very informed and we discussed the yellow jackets, and the research I'd done to know they were not another type of bee or wasp. He couldn't guarantee that they could come Thursday, but thought for sure they'd be able to come Friday. Later that afternoon, between 1:00 and 4:30, I killed approximately 40 yellow jackets in my home. We left for dinner and came back late so the yellow jackets would have returned to their nest. The gentleman that came to our house called at 7:55 am to let us know he was on the way. It's a great thing because I was at the end of my rope and didn't know how I'd be able to face the day. He had a hard time finding the nest, it took about an hour, but he found the trail and treated the area. I saw one yellow jacket in the house about noon and no more. They also gave us a 30 day guarantee that we haven't had to use!

Discovered ants with wings in an upstairs bedroom. Called our pest control company to come out, but they weren't able to get to us until after the weekend. So, I went to Angie's List and got the number for Sure Thing. They came out the next day, sprayed in and out and no more ants. I will call them in the future. Professional, courteous and punctual.

They did an excellent job. They arrived right on time. He explained everything he was going to do. He asked if I had any questions. He answered all of my questions. They were very professional.

Super. Called them, explained the situation and a technician returned our call within an hour or so. The gentleman was at our house by early afternoon, inspected, gave us an estimate, did the work, honored our coupon (told me to go on line to get one since I had misplaced my Angie's magazine). It was a big relief to have the situation resolved so quickly as we were leaving town and having concrete poured the next business day (Monday). I have a service contract with one of their competitors for exterior maintenance, other than termites, and I am seriously considering terminating that relationship in favor of these folks. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I am not satisfied with the person that came to my home. They are professional and have good customer service. When they found out I found them on Angie's List they charged more. After a few days when they first did the work I could still see ants outside. They had come back.

They were timely and took care of our problem.

I called and was able scheduled an in-home estimate with Dave the very same day. Dave was courteous, showed up on time and thoroughly inspected my house. He determined the ants were probably getting in from tree limbs too close to my home. He offered to treat my home but said the ants would only come back in if I did not get the tree trimmed as well. I opted not to treat yet and see if the ants go away once I trim the tree. I appreciated the technician's honesty and will definitely go with Sure Thing if I have any more problems. I was not even charged for the estimate.

I called on a Thursday, was given a quote of between $175 to $200 and asked if they could come on a Saturday. The scheduler said someone could be at my home that Saturday and would call me before they came out. Steve called, was very courteous, completed the work, answered all of my questions about a year service contract and the price was $200 as quoted, then reduced for the Angie's list coupon. I would definitely recommend this company!

They come out quarterly for a termite inspection. I was really pleased with the work done. I had termites and every since they put their treatment down, I hadn't found any new ones. As far as termites, they solve the problem.

I called on a Wednesday, expecting to set up an appointment for the following week when I'd be back in town. But they said that they could get someone out right away and get it taken care of even while I was away! They were upfront about the cost range and warned that in some cases additional treatments might be necessary in order to kill the queen. They asked detailed questions about where the nest was and assured me that if they couldn't find it they would call me and come again when I returned to make sure that they got the nest. They also suggested that they mail the bill to me (since I wasn't going to be home) instead of leaving it inside my screen door as they normally would. They were thinking of safety, too! When I returned home, I received their bill in the mail and called them to ask about revising it since I had a Angie's list coupon and they were happy to do so. I came back home to no yellow jacket problem and no fears about mowing the lawn near the nest!

The technician was professional. The job went well.

Called and got service within an hour. We had yellow-jackets coming in from outside making a nest inside our walls. We also had yellow-jackets flying in the family room. Morey determined that we had two separate nests. He then dusted both nests and told us that they should be dead within 5 days. Within hours we noticed decreased yellow-jacket activity around our house near the problem areas. Very pleased with his knowledge of pests and his investigation based on what was going on.

He was early to appointment, went above and beyond in putting extra protection into attic. Part of exterior service was a bonus to remove any cobwebs mud daubers!

I've had Sure Thing Pest Control since 2002. Just like to update my pleasure working with this company. Mike Pufal is very knowledgeable about pest control problems and a very pleasant person to work with. I recommend this company highly. Had terrible spider problems in 2002 and asked Sure Thing Pest Control to come. Had results immediately. Now I have them quarterly to keep things under control. Love them !!!!!

Amazing. I called this morning expecting a bit of a wait. Dave was out the very same day to take care of the bee issue and explained things fully to me. I really appreciated this speedy and courteous service.

From the moment I called the office to schedule an appointment the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I scheduled an appointment for two days after I called the office. Chris was on time to the appointment in fact he was a few minutes early which I thought was excellent. He came in and we discussed some of the pests that I had seen in the house and we decided what treatments would work best. It took him about 45 minutes to spray the inside and outside of the house. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and I would recommend them to my neighbors and friends.

Called company to inspect a window for termite/carpenter ants. Examined and found no evidence. Paul was efficient, personable, and did not charge.

Very professional and helpful with explanations of what was being done and what to expect. Signed up for quarterly program.

Kim was terrific, gave us lots of advice without admonishing us. He treated for ants and general pests and kept his eyes out for visible signs of other issues (termites, etc.). He was at my house for about an hour and did a very thorough job. In the process, he saw one of the ants and told me it was a carpenter ant. When I asked about coming out quarterly or monthly, he told me to see if I even needed it, and that he would come back out 2 times at a reduced rate within 6 weeks if I saw them in the house again. He also took his time to explain to me what he was using and how toxic it was. He was clean, articulate and courteous.

We called on a Monday (after reading reviews in Angie's List) and were able to get an appointment in 2 days. Jerry was prompt and professional. After examining the area, he determined that there wasn't a problem with pests. He also inspected the outside area and recommended that the soil level around the house (including mulch) be lowered so that it didn't touch the wood. He also recommended that the house be inspected again in two years since the house is a wood structure on a slope with a lot of moisture. He recommended no action at this time. He identified and told us how to eliminate the fungus gnats that had come into the house on house plants. He told us the name of the serviceman who comes through this area once a week in case we had additional questions. I would definitely use their service again.

Dave sprayed for bugs. We haven't seen any since. Low pressure sales to sign up for quarterly spraying.

I called several companies for quotes. My husband was considering dealing with the nest on his own, so the cost had to be reasonable. Jerry quoted me $95-$120. After that quote, I remembered and asked about some ants I'd been seeing -he said there was an overall treatment for $150, and if I did both, perhaps they could give me 1/2 off on the nest. I asked to clarify "so the total would be about $200?" He said yes. Dave dealt with the nest as described, and we scheduled for the total treatment about a week away. During that week I didn't see any more ants, and I decided to cancel the other treatment, and asked them to bill me for the nest. When I got the bill, it was for $133, $125 plus tax. I was very surprised! I called to ask why so much. They said I would get a call back, and I didn't. The next month I got another bill. I called back. After a long discussion, Jerry agreed to drop the bill to $112 including tax. I appreciated his willingness to work with me and hear my concerns.

Serviceman was timely, courteous and explained in great detail about the problem and any solutions.
