Stone Statements has an excellent selection of granite, and we selected slabs for our new kitchen. We are pleased with the end product, but offer a couple of cautions. First, when they came to template the counter tops, they almost got the prep sink in the peninsula top oriented the wrong way. I had mocked up the peninsula including the prep sink orientation, and showed the person who did the template. When I checked the template before he left, I noticed that the prep sink was oriented the wrong way! Make sure you review the template before they leave. Second, when they installed the counter tops, I stepped out of the kitchen briefly to make a phone call. When I came back, the faucet hole for the prep sink had been drilled in the wrong location!!!. They drilled the hole in the "industry standard" location without asking. I was just outside the door, and they could have easily asked before drilling the hole, especially as the prep sink orientation was not "industry standard". Not something that could be fixed at that point., and I will just have to get used to the prep sink faucet location. Stone Statements did make an adjustment of $100 because the prep sink faucet hole was not drilled where I wanted it. Overall, they did a good job, but tho ensure that you get what you envision, review and check their work at each step, and be present for every step of the installation - don't leave the room momentarily like I did.

Stone Statements service is good and top notch. They installed my appliances and they cleaned up after. I would use them again in the future. They were just impeccable, probably the best people I worked with.

I worked with Kathy at Stone Statements to find granite countertops for my kitchen remodel. I visited the warehouse a few times with a cabinet door sample, paint swatches, and flooring in tow to help narrow down the choices. They have a large warehouse with hundreds of slabs of granite with some soapstone and marble as well. Kathy was extremely helpful. She helped me to eliminate granite choices that made the cabinet color look dirty/dingy or yellow next to the granite. She also kept me from straying away from my desired price range. :-) They were prompt in providing estimates for the different slabs I liked and were patient with me as I walked through the warehouse a few more times times before making a decision. Once I picked the slab I wanted (venetian ivory), I was able to get a sample that I could use to work on finding paint color and tile backsplash. I also returned to pick out the particular slab that I wanted.= for my countertops. I thought the price of the granite was fantastic. The place where I ordered my kitchen cabinets was going to charge a bit more for granite or quartz and I thought Stone Statements offered a wider selection. The measurement and installation processes were smooth and uneventful. The actual installation took less than three hours and the installers showed me how to seal the granite (1x a year) and how to prevent stains. The granite looks fabulous and it was probably the easiest part of my entire kitchen remodel. I would definitely consider Stone Statements for any future needs and recommend them to anyone looking for granite.

Amy was very helpful in choosing not only the tile but talking with me about paint colors, floor tile choices, etc. She seemed interested in my job and my satisfaction. Ordered granite quite awhile before installation occurred and they were patient and accommodating. She made me feel like she was as excited about the end result as I was and everything came together beautifully. I would definitely recommend them not only for sales and service but for variety of choices...big supply to choose from and very informative about the products they were selling. I stopped by several times with swatches of color and tiles and they didn't seem to mind at all. Even offered advice when asked.

I REALLY like the granite they installed (they call it Splendor though I haven't found it anywhere else, at least not named that). It has a lot of movement in its grain, and several specks of shine which give it a natural brilliance. Stone Statements has a great selection of granite slabs, a lot of which you won't find anywhere else. They also carry their own granite which makes it convenient because you don't have to go somewhere else to make your selection. They are also the only fabricator that I found who was willing to do the plumbing work themselves (other fabricators refuse to do the work since they don't have plumbing expertise). Unfortunately, their measurement, fabrication and installation services leave a LOT to be desired. In my case, the edges of the countertop overhang don't line up properly with the cabinets underneath, installation of the new sink introduced a drip in the plumbing, and in a couple of places they had to shim between the countertops and cabinets underneath but left it looking very unprofessional. Their defense (and my rebuttal) is: 1. edges of countertop overhang issue: no defense (they came back out to try to remedy the situation, but weren't able to make any difference. A badly cut granite is a badly cut granite, and no amount of finagling is going to change that unless they redo it. 2. plumbing issue: they claim that what they do with the plumbing is a non-intrusive procedure and therefore cannot have been responsible for the leak. Besides the fact that this logic is lopsided, I also had a home inspection and full plumbing inspection done on the house when I moved in recently which turned up nothing so there is no evidence that this was a preexisting condition. Their technician hadn't observed any leak either. (another note, their technician had left without opening the faucet that controls the dishwasher - after a week of tinkering and back and forth communication with Stone, I discovered the issue, but this shouldn't have occurred in the first place). 3. shim under countertops issue: they are claiming that this is not their responsibility and that I need to separately contract with a carpenter to get this covered with trim. I will post some pictures of this problem when I get my digital camera working, anyone can reasonably see that no reputable contractor would leave with an end product that looks so shabby. To date, I haven't had luck getting them to own up to and fix these issues. The owners don't even have the courtesy to discuss my concerns with a phone call. Bottom line, they have refused to do anything about these issues. In paying a higher price for the work (compared with other fabricators/installers) I expected superior service, but didn't get it. My advice to would-be buyers from Stone Statements - DON'T.

They had a nice selection and Tom did a great job of answering our questions and giving us ideas, but the pricing quoted for our top choices were a fair amount higher than other quotes we were receiving for comparable quality pieces. We still have bathrooms to remodel, so we'll definitely give Stone Statements an opportunity to quote on those countertops as well.

Did not hire them

They helped us choose the right stone for the perimeter and the island. We wanted something very special for the island. Also recommended the most perfect copper farmhouse sink that we just love. Installation process was painless. Staff was very professional.

They were great. They worked with me on the original price and then I decided to have them do more countertops and they were willing to add that work onto the original price and make more time for me. Even with the additional countertops they were reasonably priced. They were cheaper than some of the other estimates that I had received. The staff was very helpful, patient and willing to take their time and answer any of the questions that I had. The crew came out on time and were very careful. We ran into no problems with the job at all. They cut, finished, and installed my countertops. They turned out beautifully.

Excellent. They came out one week prior and did the templating. They arrived around 12 noon on day of the install and were done by around 6 PM. They were very professional, clean and the countertops look great.

Overall experience was average to poor. When they brought my countertops, the installer raved about the quality of the stone. Then I found a major flaw that he and their QC people had missed! They did remake the stone, but the cut-out for the no-reveal sink was less than top quality. I believe Tom (the owner) really tried hard to satisfy us, but either he doesn't have the right people working for him or his people need more training. I was told to buy from Mease and decided to try and save a few dollars. Shame on me for doing that.

The counter tops had to be taken back to the shop and re-cut twice during installation, because they were cut wrong. They did not reconnect my gas cooktop. They did not inform me that the grains would run different ways and that the stone would be filled in with what looks like large chunks of magenta paint. They also left a 1/4" gap between my counters and my backsplash and won't do anything to correct the problem. It tried calling the owner and he won't return my phone calls.

STONE STATEMENTS KEPT IN CONTACT WITH US ON THE PROGRESS OF OUR TOPS. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL AND DETAILED. THE PRICE WE PAID FOR OUR TOPS WAS VERY REASONABLE FOR GRANITE. WE RESEARCHED ALL THE COUNTERTOPS MATERIAL OPTIONS. SURPRISING THE GRANITE LAMINATE MATERIAL WAS $1000 MORE & THEY COULD NOT DO THE RADIUS TOP ON OUR BAR. SOLID SURFACE WAS SLIGHTLY LESS AND THE GRANITE COMPOSITE MATERIAL WAS COMPARABLE IN PRICE, BUT WE REALLY LIKED THE LOOK OF REAL NATURAL STONE. THE GRANITE IS BEAUTIFUL & EASY TO TAKE CARE OF.
