STONE STATEMENTS

We had a horrible experience with stone statements. 1- communication was horrible. We will never told that the backsplash would come and three separate pieces. We have a very visible seam going down the backsplash. The backsplash didn’t match up with the cabinets and we have uneven gaps between the cabinets and the backsplash. The pictures attach don’t really so the significance of the gaps. They only cocked the back part of the countertop where it joins the backsplash. They did not c*** between the countertop and the wall nor the backsplash to the wall. They told us we could do it. We tried to address all these issue then a month after installation, we were told that we use the last piece of quartz.

It it did not go well from the beginning. When we went to pick out our granite slab, we were told it was one price and then charged another. To be fair, an intermediary (Select Kitchen Design) was involved, so it may have been their error. The installers were great. Very nice and very professional job. However, their office manager, Brad, was very nasty, insulting and extremely rude and unprofessional. There was a misunderstanding about the measurement of one piece of granite, and instead of explaining it to me, he began immediately making debasing comments to me and criticizing me personally. Then he said he was "going to rip out the new countertops" and hung up on me. I was forced to sign a document "signing off" on any errors/problems, etc. with the countertops and they were going to "rip them out." This was very unethical. Later in the day, I spoke to the owner, Doug. He began insulting me and being rude, but after a long conversation, he was finally polite. But I never received an explanation of any kind as to the shortage, nor an apology. Very disappointing (or nonexistent) in the customer service area. I would NEVER use them again!!!!! Beware customers! "Let the buyer beware" (caveat emptor) is the byword with this company!

Kathy helped us with selection of a slab and we opted to have them do onsite measurements. After the undermount sink and faucet were in hand, Stone Statements designer came over and finalized dimensions. About a week later the granite was ready and their installation team did the installation and sink mounting on site. We did the tear out of the original contractor grade sink. We did the final caulking and touch up painting.

They did a great job. They were on time, their quotes were on point. They were very polite and helpful.

Not responsive and unprofessional. In all, I called Stone Statements 5 times. I drove out and visited them 4 times. I wanted to but granite but apparently then didn't want to sell it. Don't waste your time.

We had a contractor redo our kitchen which involved moving cabinets and appliances around as well as adding an island in the middle of the room. When the redo was done we went to Stone Statements to see what they could do about putting in stone countertops. Kathy at Stone Statements was very helpful in giving us information about the various types of stone. Kathy then sent us to Mont to shop for the top we wanted. The experience was a lot of fun and we found a stone that we felt would work well in our kitchen. They came to measure the counters that week. The measurements were made digitally - quite hi-tech. The install was scheduled for the next week. The new cabinets in the kitchen redo were higher by about 1/2 inch from the original cabinets. The kitchen contractor left some shims to account for the gap in the areas where the old countertops were still in place. Stone Statement installers were prepared to perform the minor shimming to level up the counters but not set up to put in the larger shims required. Matt, the installer, did not skip a beat and found a way to attach the shims and did not let the off-standard situation deter or slow him down. They disassembled the faucet and garbage disposal and then re-attached them during the install.The digital measurements and I assume the digital machining process ensured the pieces fit the spots and the seams in the granite fit perfectly. We are very happy with the way the kitchen looks and we definitely had a good and fun experience getting the counters for our kitchen.

I selected this company because it had one of the highest ratings on Angie's List, but was extremely disappointed. What a waste of my time! They wanted me to select the granite, schedule a date to measure my project, and THEN would give me an estimate. The saleswoman said they would not give me a price per square foot, per linear foot, or any idea of price until they came to take measurements. Why would I waste my time selecting a piece of stone and not have any idea if it would be out of my budget? What a lousy way to do business. I went to another granite store. The guy knew about what the dimensions would be for a fireplace, and gave me a rough idea of the cost. Great! That's all I needed to know. I would never do business with these guys!

Repairman called about 45 minutes before scheduled time to me know he would be on his way. Sink had come unglued from granite countertop about 7 years after original installation. (Stone Statements did not do the initial installation). Repairman cleaned surfaces and reattached sink to countertop, caulked around edges. No problems so far.

We didn't end up using Stone Statements although they had the best selection, best service and were competitively priced. It was easier for us to use the big box store with 18 months same as cash.

Good communication, arrived promptly and called while en route. Countertop looks great, they explained how to care for it, cleaned up site and removed old materials. Very pleased and would choose them again.

I went to stone statements to select a granite remnant for a master bath project. I selected a piece, which they were to put on hold until an estimate was presented. This would be several days. When the time frame passed, I contacted the office. I was told then that they had been waiting to hear from me. They needed the approximate dimensions. This seemed odd, since I had completed paperwork during my visit, which included contact information and dimensions. After our conversation, the woman said she would get back with me in a few days. Of course I never heard back. I found my granite somewhere else. Of note- many of the granite slabs were face to face and difficult to see. I was offered no help in looking at the ones I could not see. When I do my kitchen remodel, I will not bother with this company again.

We selected our granite at their convenient showroom, which is open on Saturdays. We had our kitchen measured on March 2 and new counters/sink/fixtures were installed on March 9, in about 4 hours. Added a custom Aristokraft cabinet door to an island with poor access. Work is being done right now! Excellent workmanship and professionalism. We are planning to consult them for a bathroom counter job soon. We highly recommend them to anyone who needs a counter/kitchen update.

When we initially visited Stone Statements we had already been to numerous slab locations and did NOT find what we liked. When we visited Stone Statements, they had a slab and 2 pieces of the same material, that we really liked. It did not appear that there was enough material to do our kitchen, but with the help of Chrissy from Stone Statements, she thought that they could make it work. She sent Trevor out to measure and he thought that they could make it work. We did have to buy a farmhouse sink to enable them to have enough granite to complete our job, (but we were going to install a farmhouse sink anyway). We met with them and they showed us how it would be laid out. We asked if they could change a few minor things on how it was laid out, and they willingly changed the lay out to meet our wishes. When Brad and Trevor cut the granite for our layout both he and Trevor positioned the seams such that most of the seam would fall under the wall of our existing appliance garages. Brad and Trevor did an excellent job of laying out the seams such that they were not noticeable. When Pat, Mat, and Steve installed the granite, they did an excellent job of installing it. Where they had a seam, they expertly epoxied it together such that it was barely noticeable. Overall, everyone from this company did an excellent job. We are very pleased with the work that they performed.

It turned out wonderful. We are very pleased. They did a fabulous job. The person that helped us was very courteous, cordial and kind. They were very prompt. They put us in the date we wanted them to come. They got it done in one day. The work man were excellent.

They did an outstanding job and the price was great for a beautiful Granite Countertop. From the visit to the Store to the work in our home they get an APlus for this purchase. The Countertops are absolutely beautiful. Well Done!

We visited the store and were immediately impressed by the large inventory of stone slabs. The staff is very professional and worked with us as we revised our project. They were prompt to provide revised estimates. The technician who came to measure the kitchen was very helpful, and was key to making sure we got the correct sink configuration to meet our needs. The measurement process was very precise using a laser and computer program. The installation went smoothly and the finished product is terrific. We are very happy with our experience.

Worked primarily with Brian and Cindy to obtain estimates and finalize details. They were very good in terms of responsiveness and professionalism. Trevor did the measurements and had exceptionally friendly demeanor. He spent an hour measuring. Next came Pat and Matt to install. They were professional but considerably less friendly than Trevor. In fact I was a little taken aback by the lack of this "good customer service" component. When all was said and done there were some major issues with the installation; Seams was very uneven, jagged and wide at the 45 degree angle. .when installers left we also noticed that one section of backsplash was chipped in a couple of places. The original installers returned a few days later and replaced this piece.. However the replacement piece was cut short and appeared to be chipped at the bottom. When we called to complain Trevor came out to inspect this piece it was also observed that most of the backsplashes appeared not to be flush to the countertops. This was because of the type of caulk used by the original installers. Trevor returned to fix the problem and the countertops and backsplashes except for the jagged seams are now looking quite good. Trevor was exceptional in his workmanship and attention to detail and felt that the jagged seam fix might open another can of worms. In all fairness SS did offer to pull the quartz up and redo the section encompassing the poor seam area. We declined for fear that installation redo would not be satisfactory. We accepted Doug's offer of $400 cash instead of fixing. As stated Trevor felt this was the optimal solution for the seams. The cash refund lowered the total price from 6300 dollars to $5900. In the final analysis I expected the fit and finish and attention to detail to be top notch and it wasn't. Based on the number of quality reviews I believe SS probably does great work with granite. I would not hire them again for quartz installs.

I would have to give stone statements and over all good review. we went in on a Monday and was met in the show room by Kathy. Kathy was very helpful and knowledgeable of her products. then we walked threw the warehouse and picked the granite slab that best fit our project. the technician was at our house first thing Thursday bright and early as promised. tyler I believe was his name and he was very professional and also knowledgeable of his craft. one week from the measurement my counters were installed bright and early just as promised. my counters look GREAT! I am over all please. if I had one complaint about stone statements, it would be getting the estimate. I'm not sure who is in charge of getting the estimate out to the customer, but they dropped the ball. I was supposed to get an estimate by Tuesday and I had to call on Wednesday to ask about the estimate. once I called and spoke to chrissie, my estimate was quickly emailed to me for approval. I like the counters so much, we called back to get and estimate on the cost of using the granite for our window sill. I called on Wednesday july 2nd and still have not received and email or a phone call in regards to my estimate for the window sill. I did not call back this time to check on it because I feel I didn't have to. once again, I am over all very pleased with my counters, I will use stone statements in the future due to the professionalism I did receive from the people that need to show it. from Kathy in the showroom to matt and pat the installers. Kathy also went out of her way to drop off the can of sealer that was forgotten upon installation.

Stone Statements were very nice to deal with. They have a large selection of granite countertops to choose from. The installers did a very good job and we are very happy with the results. We would definitely use Stone Statements again.

After receiving quotes from multiple granite countertop companies and feeling a bit uneasy, we decided to sign a formal work request with Stone Statements.We are so happy we did! Stone Statements did a fantastic job on our installation from start to finish. On our first visit to the store, we provided our estimated measurements and they provided us with an itemized quote. Once we had signed a contract, they quickly scheduled a date in our home for taking accurate measurements and creating a template. Their estimate stayed accurate to the penny! Installation of the granite took place one week later. Bottom line: If you are looking for a company who values your satisfaction, look no further. Their service is impeccable and their honesty and quality of work is commendable!

Installers were good, they forgot one thing and turned around and came back to finish the job. Good selection of stone. We though the sales guy was a little cheesy during the negotiation but we settled on a fair price.

It was excellent. The employees were fantastic, as well as the sales lady. The installers measured and installed it within a week. It was very prompt. All good things to say. I would highly recommend them.

My experience with Stone Statements was very positive. They have a large selection of granite to choose from and quickly set up the measurement and installment. I was thrilled with the way they cut the granite and the installment went smoothly. I have gotten so many compliments on my new countertops, and I would highly recommend this company.

We had a bad experience with the company we initially hired. The first company left my kitchen half done and what was done was done very poorly. Stone Statements came in and saved the day. They fixed everything and did an awesome job. I would recommend them to everyone.

Great choices available. Prices very competitive. Installation work very good. Overall, very happy with them.
