I was very pleased with RWT.. Ric came out for an estimate and provided me with a lot of detail about what would be done. He knew we were on a tight timeline and worked with us to get our windows installed quickly. I was extremely impressed with the installers. They were punctual and friendly. They were thorough and cleaned up after themselves completely. Most importantly, the windows really do look great.

Reasonable prices, and great worksmanship. The guys do good work.

Owner showed up at the scheduled appointment time and presented a no nonsense presentation of his product and the warranties etc. that go with the installation of the proposed windows. While reviewing competing bids i called Rick on a couple of occasions to further question him about his product and he was very patient and informative. I have used a large company in the past for window replacement and they did a pretty good job, but decided to go with RWT based on the price of the product and their local reputation. I was not disappointed. I have been around a lot of construction crews in my time and must say that Ricks guys are the most quiet, polite, cleanest, and efficient crew i have ever seen. There work was impeccable and you couldn't tell anyone had ever worked in the area's they were in when they were done. The windows look and operate great. Highly recommend them.

I can't say enough about the professionalism and high quality of Ric's work. Their attention to detail was outstanding. The workers were respectful, and they did great clean-up. Ric was very straightforward and cares more about the quality of his work than being a salesman. We couldn't have been more pleased with the final result.

We called RWT because the company had replaced the windows in our current home 12 years ago. We are still using those windows without issue and are very satisfied. From start to finish, Ric Tress and crew were completely professional. Appointments were prompt with full explanation/demo of the product and pricing. As a repeat customer and Angie's list member, discounts were applied; as well as, due to the time of year of installation. The crew cleaned up thoroughly after completing the job. The windows are easy to use and easy to clean. They do not detract from the character of the older home and look terrific inside and out.

It has been several years, but we have not forgotten the great experience we had with RWT Windows. We were so pleased with the new windows at our old house that we didn't bother talking to any other window companies when it was time for new windows at our present house. We have no complaints whatsoever. Very professional, good quality, came when they said they would, and cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. The windows themselves are attractive, keep out the cold drafts, and both inside and outside surfaces are easy to clean from the inside. The windows still look and perform like they did when they were first installed. We would definitely recommend RWT to others and will hire them again if we should move and need new windows in the future.

Owner of company comes out and goes over everything with you. Friends recommended this company for overall value and work. Windows have not been replaced yet but should be in the next few weeks. Very professional and the price was just what we were looking for. Would recommend to anyone looking to replace windows!

Overall, I couldn't be happier with the experience. I contacted RWT windows for a quote and they were very helpful in accommodating my schedule. Rick (owner) spent ~45 minutes walking through the my house and explaining all the different options for each window. He offered a lot of helpful suggestions in picking the options for each window and was able to give a quote on the spot (which was spot-on once the work was completed). Rick returned after I accepted the quote to get final measurements on the windows and told me it would be approximately 5-7 weeks before they would be able to install them. Installation started about 4.5 weeks later and took only two days. The installers (which are trained by Rick, not contractors) were all very nice and polite. They put down runners to protect the carpeting and did a great job cleaning after the installation (and disposing on all the waste). I was impressed that they even took care of the disposal of all the extra brick and cinder block that was removed to install the sliding glass door. The original window was wider than the door and they patched the drywall surrounding the door and re trimmed all around it leaving me only with a little painting to finish it up. I thoroughly inspected all the windows and couldn't find anything wrong with any of them. They did an amazing job. It is incredible the difference this had made to my house. I would absolutely use RWT windows again; unfortunately, I don't have any more windows to replace.

The owner of the company came and gave us an estimate in the evening. We had 5 window replaced so it only took a few hours. The men who completed the job were professional and quick. The windows look great!

They were very good and we are happy with the outcome.

It went very well. They did a good job and answered all of our questions. They arrived when they said they would. The quality is great and the terms were very customer friendly. Our neighbors also used them and would highly recommend them.

Ric Thress worked closely with Bill Van Name of Jansen, our energy auditor, to meet a tight deadline on getting virtually all our windows replaced. Our house is well over 100 years old and had the original windows, which were a mess. Ric and his crew were punctual, communicated well and clearly, cleaned up after themselves, put down drop cloths wherever they went, and most importantly, quickly replaced a ton of windows with very little fuss. There were a few minor problems with a few of the windows, and they quickly took care of them, either by replacing sashes or making adjustments themselves. The work was excellent, quick and by far the best deal on windows we came upon. It was great supporting a family business rather than a big commercial operation, and we enjoyed the personal touch that comes with a smaller, trusted crew of installers. I'd recommend them again in a New York minute.

RWT was the third of three estimates we got to replace our 45 year old windows. We were immediately impressed with Rick's professional yet kind and laid back demeanor. He answered all our questions and offered helpful suggestions to help us make up our minds about different options. Even though we had to wait about 8 weeks to get the windows, due to the customers ahead of us, it was worth the wait. The installers were orderly, efficient and and very hard-working. They arrived when they said they would. They left our house cleaner than they found it, and I couldn't be happier with the windows and our new sliding glass door.I was impressed with how good the windows looked, given that our house had settled and a lot of the windows were no longer square, but you could never tell by looking at them now. The caulking was amazingly good- no more drafts or snow drifts on the window sills! Rick even called several days after the install to inquire how I liked the windows and if I had any questions about anything, as I had been out of town when the windows were installed, and he wanted to be sure I was as happy with the windows and his company as my husband had been. How could I NOT have been?! The Dudes even WASHED the windows when they were done!!

."My husband has always done any remodeling, repair, we've needed. However, age and illness have taken their toll, and we now find ourselves needing to hire work done. Before Angie's List, there were some real losers who did work for us. Without a circle of people who could give us recommendations, Angie;s List has been excellent. I did worry that perhaps reviews were done by friends or relatives, but when you see dozens of reviews, it makes a difference. The owner, Ric Thress, came to our home himself, to discuss his product, offer suggestions, measure, quote, etc. He gave us a run down of RWTs experience, was very personable (as were the other two people who came out and gave estimates). Ric didn;t push or oversell. Ric did something else, however, he gave us a list of previous customers -- names and addresses. I went on line and found telephone numbers for several 'customers.' I called them and you would have thought he was their long-lost brother. They were positively effusive in their praise of RWT, products and services. Couple had windows replaced, as we did, another had doors replaced. RWT's bid was in the middle of the three I got. The other two were from "name brand" companies. While we're hardly equipped to thoroughly evaluate the products they were offering, Ric was very thorough in explaining the product he uses. His wife, Mary, was extremely helpful and accommodating as we worked through dates and times for installation. I would highly recommend RWT and Angies List. I'd like to see a section on the List for low-cost, odd jobs, the elderly often need - such as occasional lawn mowing or snow removal, yard work; moving furniture for spring cleaning, etc.; the types of things teenagers did years ago. thanks

RWT Windows is an excellent provider of replacement windows. At first I was hesitant about getting a quote on twenty-three replacement windows for our house because I thought it would be cost prohibitive. Ric Thress, owner/operator of RWT windows worked with me in a professional and friendly manner throughout the bidding process. I used three different companies and compared the same window with the same options from all three companies and RWT was the best price and was the best choice for us. RWT uses their own installers and does not sub-contract their work out to other installers. The three gentlemen that installed our windows were courteous, friendly and above all very neat and clean!!! Ric came out twice during the three day job to check on progress and my satisfaction. I was really impressed with the customer service I received from him and his installers. I received both emails and phone calls from Ric after the completion of the job to check on my satisfaction of the windows and the job itself. Since the installation of my windows I've had two neighbors ask about the job RWT did. I believe one of them is using RWT now. I am completely satisfied with my experience with RWT and would recommend this company to anyone looking for new windows for their home!!!

As noted above, everything went well from start to finish. The windows are great!

RWT was on time for their initial appointment, Rick asked questions regarding wants and needs, as well as made suggestions on what is the best type of window. Rick explained the grades of windows in detail, and never pressured us to go with any particular window. In our search we spoke with 2 other companies, a high end and a lower end windo company. We went with RWT as they had the best quality at the best price, but more importantly the people who would be installing the windows worked for RWT not sub contractors. When we signed the agreement Rick stated that it would be 8 weeks before installation would occur, 8 weeks later RWT windows contacted us and gave 2 installation windows which would work with our schedule. The crew arrived exactly at the time they stated, the work would begin. The crew was very courteous and respectful of our home, they took great care in laying down rugs on areas where they would be working. They vacumed up areas, cleaned the windows inside and out. The crew was very courteous of putting down tarps over our landscape and cleaning up after. The work was completed, in the 3 days we were told. Rick and his team are very good and I would HIGHLY reccomend their work to anyone, if all companies worked like this, we would not need an Angie's List.

Ric was puntual and informative. I'm sure he does good work, but I opted to go with a different company in order to save a few dollars.

We selected RWT to install replacement windows in our home. From the very first phone call we were treated with respect by individuals that knew their job and could communicate well. It was obvious that Ric, Layne, Randy and Russ cared about what they did and had the integrity to do a fine job. They promised a certain price and a beginning date and both were on target. Upon arriving the team was polite, neat and efficient. They worked hard for the 2 days it took to install 22 windows. They were friendly and left everything in order when leaving. We now have new, beautiful, clean "windows to the world" with the great feeling that comes from working with really good and thoughtful experts!

RWT Windows - The crew did a great job with my window replacements. The prices were reasonable and the workmanship was superior. They did a great job in a small time frame and did a great job with the cleanup. I highly recommend.When the team initially showed up they only had 3 of the 4 windows needed. They were quickly able to find the 4th one within an hour or so and were able to get it installed in my home. This was my first time having windows replaced and going forward I know that I will certainly use RWT my window needs

We are really excited to work with them. The price and service they have given us so far have been great. They told us they were having a price increase from their supplier, so they locked in the lower price for us. They have communicated with us very well. They gave us a detailed proposal. They did not even take a down payment because they had to order special parts. They are very professional.

Rick and Mary from RWT has been excellent to work with. He is easy to reach and follows up immediately. He sells a high quality line of doors but on an apples to apples basis his pricing was at the lower end of the estimates we received.. He is honest about the various features offered and provides good data on the products he sells but with no pressure. With all of our doors they came in earlier than expected and installation was done well and quickly. They have been in now for 1.5 to 2 years with almost no issues. We have had one issue with the lock on the front door but in that case Rick came out ithe same day we called and fixed the problem despite the fact that the manufacturer's warrantly had expired.

We were in desperate need of replacement windows and finally had the opportunity to purchase. We talked to about 5 window companies and RWT was our favorite. Not the most expensive and not the cheapest, but we liked Ric (the owner) and felt he was very honest and reliable. He was very prompt for all appointments. We decided on the Pro-Line 2000 model, with low-e argon gas. Installation was scheduled for two days at the end of March. I didn't get the names of the crew, but they are employees of RWT (not contractors). They showed up exactly when expected, finished when expected and couldn't have been more professional and nice. They washed the windows after installation and cleaned up after themselves. You wouldn't have known they were there if not for the amazing new windows! We are so very happy with our new windows. They look fantastic and we are so glad we spent the money. I would recommend RWT to everyone!

Great company to work with, wish I had done it years ago! My house still had the original windows from 1928, plus old aluminum triple-track storms. As much as I would have liked to have "preserved" them, they were beyond repair, and replacing them with wooden windows was not an option financially. Of all the companies I called, Ric from RWT gave me the most detailed estimate combined with the best price. Another company came close, but I could never get them to write out in detail exactly what they were going to do, so I went with RWT. Ric was also very thorough in explaining all warranties that cover both windows and RWT's work. After signing the contract, it took about six weeks before installation, which was the time frame Ric had estimated. I had contact with the office several times, as I had to choose a trim color and was waiting for my roof to be completed before I could choose the color for the window trim. Mary, who works in the office, was always friendly and responsive to all my questions and request. Once work began, they did 14 windows the first day. The workers were great to deal with; I expected a huge mess when those old windows came out, but they did a great job keeping everything neat and clean; in fact, they probably left it cleaner than they found it! They answered all questions I had, and showed me how the windows operate, removal of screens, cleaning tips, etc. They returned the next day to complete the other five windows, which only took a couple hours. The trim I had chosed wasn't in yet, so they did have to return another day to install that, but it wasn't a problem; it was all exterior work and I didn't need to be home. That probably happened because I had taken a while to choose the exterior color trim. The most pleasant surprise was coming home to see that they had even put new exterior trim on the two small windows flanking my fireplace that I did not have replaced- above and beyond the call of duty! Now, I don't have to worry about painting those to match. A couple weeks after installation, I got a call that they needed to replace a couple panes of glass in my windows. Apparently while cleaning they had noticed one had a bit of dirt between the panes, and another's frame was scratched. I had not noticed either of these issues and never would have known there was a problem, so kudos for their honesty and integrity. They did beautiful work on installation and even washed all windows inside and out. I can't believe the transformation, and the difference in my home comfort is amazing. I don't hear near as much noise from outside, and no longer have a "wind chill" in my house. I highly recommend RWT, they made this home improvement a very pleasant experience.
