RWT Windows Plus

After losing a storm pane out of a window in the hurricane winds last month, we decided to begin replacing the older windows in our 100 year old home. We called Rick from RWT windows, and even though they still had no power from the same storm, he came out quickly and on time, which impressed us as a good work ethic. He was friendly and informative, giving us information on our existing replacement windows as well as suggestions on our current situation. He informed us of the different options (we picked a mid-grade window), and wrote up an estimate. We were very pleased with the price. He also took the Angie's List coupon into consideration without us asking (we had mentioned we found him on Angie's List). He asked us if we could wait 4 weeks or so, which was fine with us since we still had the older window intact (minus the storm pane). His crew came out as scheduled, and were polite & professional. They didn't mind me watching, since I'm interested in this type of thing--they were done and gone in about an hour, put tarps down & cleaned up the mess. They also removed the stickers & cleaned the window. All in all, the window looks great & seems like a quality product--there's much less outside noise. We're looking forward to replacing more windows with RWT in the future and would certainly recommend this company.

It was a great experience. Ric assisted with the vinyl vs. wood debate. He was thorough and fair in his pricing and even sought to get better pricing when his window vendor lowered prices. The window removal was completed with no damage to the existing sills or frame. The crew did an excellent job avoiding tracking dirt in and cleaned up debris, leaving my rooms cleaner than when they arrived! The new windows look great, the caulking is straight. I love that they went the extra mile to ensure that the outside wrap is molded to be more in character with the home. The crew are RWT employees (not subcontracted). They are friendly, efficient, professional and became an extension of our family for the few days they were here. The few manufacturer mistakes (one window had an extra grid set) were quickly corrected, and the crew returned to install without any extra charges. The final touch was thoroughly cleaned, sparkling windows that were a source of pride!

Rhonda, Troy, Layne and the owner Ric were all great. They covered everything, put down floor runners everywhere they went, and worked quickly and efficiently. As each window was finished the glass and frame were meticulously cleaned to a sparkle. Both doors were replacing 92 year old originals and presented Ric with some severe challenges due to the odd sizes and surrounding materials. But he did both with beautiful results. These guys know how it's done!

RWT was low bidder of three. That, combined with positive feedback on Angie's List and the BBB sites, made the decision to hire this company very easy. Rick Thress' estimate of the time it would take to manufacture the windows was right on target. On the day of the installation, the crew arrived on time, spread drop cloths throughout the house, and went straight to work. As each window was installed, Rick personally inspected it, to ensure an appearance and operation that would meet customer expectations. I was impressed by his attention to details. This is a company that DOES "do windows." They washed each one, inside and out, before leaving. I would recommend this company without hesitation to anyone.

We had already had several window people out to give us estimates, and this company was the least expensive with windows that were the same or better quality. Although it was a very long waiting list (something like 2 months) without being able to get into a schedule in advance, on service day their people were prompt, courteous, cleaned up after themselves, and cleaned the windows! No wonder this company has the higher window ratings out of them all. Glad we used them, hope to use them in the future. Wish they did siding! :-)

I was impressed from the sales presentation until and thru the installation. I had bids from companies that were going to install lesser quality windows, with no r value gas in them, at a higher price. The owner, Rick, said it would be 6 weeks after the order was out in that he would have the windows installed. He also installed a front storm door that matches the windows. They look great. The installation went great and they way they were installed helped them look even better.

IT WENT EXTREMELY WELL. EVEN SOME QUESTIONS I SENT VIA E-MAIL WERE RETURNED WHILE THE OWNER WAS ON VACATION! HE AND HIS CREW HELPED WITH THINGS THAT GO "ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY." HIS BID BEAT OTHER COMPANIES AND EVEN A WHOLESALER. THE WARRANTY AND TOP FLIGHT MATERIAL USED CAN'T BE BEAT.

Excellent experience. The quality of the windows is great, and the installation proceeded exactly as expected. RWT was very responsive and punctual. The installers were very professional. The company fixed a minor item which was damaged during the installation without me even asking for a full repair. I was very impressed.

Incredible!! I had a casement window that had deteriorated and crumbled where the support for the crank is screwed in. I called and the woman on the phone was very helpful. They only do replacement windows, but they were so focused on customer service, she actually suggested maybe I could just get it repaired (it is rare that you find someone willing to give up business to do the right thing). After some more questions she realized that the window was not that old and a Pella brand. She said she would call her Pella rep and find out how I could get it replaced for free (even though I'm not the original owner of house). She promptly called me back and referred me to the appropriate free replacement company to do the work. In the end, RWT windows did the RIGHT thing, unlike too many businesses today; they forgo their own potential profit to help a person get the best solution. Congrats to them, they have just made me a customer for life and I will recommend them to any and all people I know!!!

It went well. Total installation took 3 days. RWT came in and got the job done with little to no disruption. The windows look good and so far no issues.

The clean up was excellent and you couldn't even tell they had been there. They were professional and polite. They were knowledgeable about all different kinds of windows and how to install them. I would recommend them. I love my new windows.

I found them on Angies List. They were great. Rick and Mary are excellent and professional. Their workers cleaned up after themselves on a daily basis. It took five days to do the job.

It went great. From the beginning, when Ric came to give an estimate, he knew what he was talking about, he was no-pressure on the sales tactics, and he gave you the space to make the right decision for your house and situation. The people showed up EXACTLY on time for the 1st day of installation, laid down tarps to keep my house clean, and stacked everything neatly before leaving. The next day, there was a traffic accident and they were only 10 minutes late, but they were courteous enough to call ahead and tell me. They worked really late the second day trying to finish, but weren't able to. Instead, they made sure to finish all the interior work so that I wouldn't need to let them in on Friday since I hadn't been planning on that. It wouldn't have been a problem, but they seem to always be thinking of what they told the customer and living up to their promises. Regarding the quality of their work, I have a 100 year old house, so nothing is square, but they fit all the windows really well from the exterior and didn't ruin any trim on my interior windowframes. They were some of the most polite and courteous contractors I've ever engaged and I would recommend them for anyone considering replacement windows.

We received 3 different estimates. Ric was not the cheapest, but we felt the most comfortable with him. We asked if he could match the lower price which he did. The installation went very smoothly. They put down covering everywhere and cleaned up after themselves everyday. When the job was finished all of the windows and the doors were washed. We had ordered vinyl windows that were made to match the wood trim around our windows. We were extremely pleased. You cannot tell at all that the windows are even different, except for the fact that there is no condensation in between the panes.

They arrived in the morning and removed my old door and sidelights. When they removed the sill, there was wood that had been previously damaged by termites. They tore out the bad wood and replaced it before installing the new sill and then the door and sidelights. Rick worked with them and they did a terrific job and cleaned up everything. You wouldn't have known they were there if it weren't for the gorgeous new entryway.

They arrived in the morning and removed my old windows and installed new vinyl double hung windows. Rick worked along side his team and they did a quality job on the installation. By early afternoon, they were finished installing and cleaning the windows and cleaning up so you couldn't even tell they had been there. The windows look and function great!

It went perfectly. Rick came to do our estimate back in February. He was courteous and efficient. He fully explained the the process and showed us samples of his windows. He told us it would be 8-10 weeks. About 8 weeks later he called to set up a time. I unfortunately had just had an accident and my foot was injured. I could not take down the window treatments as I was asked to do. He said that would not be a problem. And not only did his crew take down our window treatments, but they put them back up. The crew came when they said they would, and they covered all of our floors. including the hall and entry right up to where they were working on the windows. They removed all of the debris and cleaned up afterward. They even cleaned the windows; not all installers do that. We recently had the Home Depot install storm doors and there is still some ink and stick em left on one of the panes of glass.

They were great had great references and were very easy to work with. I am so pleased with them, they protected my floors when they came in, they cleaned all the windows and took the stickers off, and hung my drapes even when they were finished. They were unbelievable. The clean up was the best I have ever had! Their service was so good that I sometimes forget how great their products are.

What a wonderful experience. Among 3 bids, RWT was the best price for the product that we wanted. Ric came out to the house, gave us a couple of hours his time, and priced our windows. I signed a contract the same night with no pressure at all. He gave us the time frame (7-8 weeks) and before the 7th week, he called to schedule. He called again the night before to confirm. The crew was so pleasant, and Ric was on site working with them. They took great care to cover furniture and floors, and to make sure the outside was spic and span before they left. They were all in within one day, as promised, and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. And the windows were spotless and gleaming when I got home. Money well spent.

I called RWT based upon previous Angie's List reviews. Ric honored the coupon posted in Angie's List so it's definitely worth mentioning it to them. It was a busy time for Ric and RWT and he warned me that it would be 6 weeks or so before he could install. When I called to check in he said it would be the next week but it ended up being a week more. It ended up being about 8 weeks total wait time. Because of the additional wait, Ric took an additional $50 off of my bill. His crew arrived on time. They were fast and efficient. My windows look great. I was happy with the work that RWT did and would definitely recommend them. They are a small business with a lot of heart. Thanks for everything RWT!

Superb. Ric came when he said he would, cleaned up his work site over the 2 days. Managed expectations of the customer very well and delivered a nice product.

Rick was prompt in his visit to provide an estimate. He was able to quickly assess the situation and provide his thoughts on the best solution. He was able to clearly communicate his thoughts and provided a level of comfort with dealing with him. I received other estimates for the job and he was clearly the most reasonable priced of them all; $1,500 compared to $2,900. He also provided several alternatives for the job at hand, including options in terms of the type of replacement window to install to still give the most glass and the least amount of framing. He provide advice in terms of purchasing wood grained vinyl windows. Lastly, Rick was able to work with me for the installation date to accommodate installing the window prior to our move. He initially thought it may take around 6 weeks prior to installation, but called in around 3 weeks and installed the new window at that time. They arrived promptly for install and performed the work quickly and cleaned up prior to leaving.

The overall experience was nothing short of excellent. Right from the initial consultation, negotiation, signing the contract and the actual installation, RWT proved to be extremely professional, courteous and punctual and performed a high quality job. They treat your house as they would their own. If you are looking for quality medium- to upper-grade vinyl replacement windows at a very competitive price, look no further.

On the day of installation, he and his crew were present. They were all very professional. They took care in their work and cleaned up as they went.

They were always punctual, very professional. The crew that came to install the windows looked professional and were considerate of our home and furnishings. They were careful, and we appreciated that courtesy. They also gave a good Angie's list discount ($50 off each window for all 14 windows) The owner was even here to work and supervise his crew.
