RWT Windows Plus

They had a good rating and we agree with that. The job was originally scheduled to be done in late October. We were not too happy with that. We called them again but they were busy. Then a space opened up and we were able to reschedule so we took it. We wanted to get it in before the weather turned bad. It was not a problem to have the door down for half a day. They took the old one out and put the new one in. The price was good compared to the others. We got 3 quotes and theirs was the best price. We liked the people. When they came in, they were prompt, efficient, thorough and professional.

We found RWT on Angie's List and chose them based on the quality feedback from AL and competitive price. Rick gave us an estimate in Dec. '09 and was the most competitive of the 3 companies we looked at. We had an odd size opening for one door, and Rick thoughtfully came out again after the original estimate to remeasure and see if he could fit a bigger door in one spot. They installed 2 doors and we already love them. We can feel less cold air coming in and the locks are very smooth. We had many problems with our old locks sticking and being difficult to use, so this was very important to us. RWT also fixed some loose steps in our walkout basement as they installed one of the doors - something that was very gracious and thoughtful of them to do. Throughout the process, everyone at RWT was very friendly, responsive and professional. We were impressed and would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs doors.

It went very well. They were very friendly and professional from the initial phone call and appointment for an estimate to the end with the installation of the windows. During the intallation they were on time, efficient, and professional, and cleaned up the room very well. The quality of the windows is fantastic and we could tell a difference immediately. On top of all that, their price was significantly less than the estimates I received from two other window companies (2 of the large window chain companies).

Rick and Mary were very easy to work with. The technicians were very friendly and worked quickly. They could have been more careful taking out the old windows (mine are framed on the outside with cedar clapboards); some were damaged. Overall, I was very pleased and would use RWT again.

Although it was long wait because they were very busy, the end result was excellent. RWT provided a good quality sliding glass door and screen. They did a very good job with the installation and it was completed in the 3 hours, as quoted. The installation team was very professional but friendly and they left the area cleaner than they found it. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Just two days after I phoned the company, Ric was out to show me the products and give an estimate. He was very personable and professional. He answered all my questions and presented his product in a very non-pressuring manner. He offered a great price (discount for Angies List members) and a further discount based on the competition. Ric indicated the windows would take 8-10 weeks to be fabricated. We found a good install date on the 8th week out. Ric and crew were professional and efficient. They had ten windows installed by the end of the first day and only needed a few hours the next morning to finish the job. What I really appreciated was the saving of my marble window sills. They did not crack a single one and left as much sill as possible (my cats are still able to enjoy the neighborhood view). Clean up was thorough. All surfaces were covered for protection. I would highly recommend RWT Windows.

Wonderful...from the visit to provide the estimate through the installation of the final sash, the company was prompt, professional, honest and provided expert workmanship. When the windows were installed, one had a broken sash and one tempered sash we had ordered was missing, so RWT installed all of the windows and didn't require the balance owed to be paid until all of the work had been completed. They cleaned up after themselves, hauled away the windows we didn't want and carefully removed and saved the vintage windows we wanted to keep. I would strongly reccommend RWT to others and will use them again for any future replacement window needs.

I easily scheduled an appointment, and Ric arrived right on time. He was extremely courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Took the time to explain what he was looking at and how he was creating the estimate. He brought samples of door colors and grains (the only one of the three estimators who did this), which was helpful. he was very patient, answering any questions I had. He also structured my estimate with line-item options so that i could easily tell the price difference for various price-affecting options that i was not ready to make a final decision on at that time. No pressure whatsoever, couldn't have asked for a better experience. This was the hardest contractor decision I had to make in a while, as all three were very strong. In the end, all three companies that I received estimates from where very strong and pretty evenly matched on product quality, professionalism, service/responsiveness. The only real differentiating factor was price, so that is primarily what i made my decision based upon. Also, the company I ultimately chose offers a free service which allows me to see what various door colors might look like on my house.

Ric and crew arrived right on time and immediately got to work. They worked well together and were very efficient.We had a sliding glass patio door installed, new picture window in living room, window over kitchen sink and glass replaced in high windows at top of our foyer. Everything in my kitchen was draped so that nothing got dusty. Everything was back in place and vacuumed and When they left you wouldn't have known they had been in my house except that I had gorgeous new windows. We will be ordering more windows and a door as soon as the budget allows...painless, pleasurable experience all around

Rick responded quickly to our request for an estimate and was the most reasonably priced out of the four companies we interviewed. He estimated our installation date and showed up that week, as promised. The installation was supposed to take 1 1/2 days, but was completed in 1 day. The crew was punctual, professional, very pleasant and neat. The windows were left sparkling! We are very happy with the quality of our windows, and have noticed considerably less outside noise penetrating our home. We have 14 more windows to replace and will definitely be calling RWT again for the installation. I would absolutely recommend them.

Rick came out to bid on the job promptly, and explained the product and installation process thoroughly. We were told to expect installation in about 8-10 weeks, which was accurate. We had received a bid from another A-rated contractor, but RWT was similarly rated, and had installed windows in a neighbor's home to her complete satisfaction. RWT was more reasonably priced than the other bid, and we are extremely satisfied with the quality of the windows. The installation process was handled professionally and neatly. The crew cleaned up completely after the job, and also left the windows beautifully clean, which is apparently not always the case with all contractors. They were very pleasant to have around, and were punctual and easy to deal with. I have nothing bad to say about the experience with either the people or the product. I would certainly recommend them.

It took 2 days to finish the job. They did one floor per day since we had so many windows to install. Rick and two other of his workers did all of the work....they are polite, friendly and cleaned up after themselves. They were more than happy to make adjustments when I had a few minor requests. They had another coworker come out to then clean the windows and man, did they sparkle!!!! We love the immediate improvement in the heat and a/c comfort levels of the house overall and the reduction of our heating bill in the winter!! We have since contacted him again to install doors for us. updated April 2013. I wanted to add on here that his follow up customer service is awesome. He responded to our calls and provided great follow up support when one of our windows had an issue. I highly recommend him.

We quickly received and estimate, and our windows were installed within 8 weeks. It only took one day to do the entire house.

Their price was not the cheapest, but it was not the highest either. He sells all side windows, which is a very high rated product. The other thing we really liked was that the owner comes out to every installation. After they finished, his wife came in and swept the entire house. It was phenomenal.

They did a very good job. They were willing to work with us and our budget. We decided to replace the windows when we had the money rather than getting them all at once and pay for them in installments or on credit. They did not try to pressure us into purchasing more windows. I was very pleased with their service.

Rick spent several hours with us at estimate time, reviewing our needs and the options available. Glass, window and door options were fully reviewed, and tax credit implications were described in detail. The work crew arrived at precisely the appointed time and what was originally estimated to be a two day job took a bit under 1 1/2 days, owing to the workmanlike, dare we say yeomanlike, manner in which Rick and his crew went about their business. Though they went about their business assiduously, they were all very affable and courteous people. At the conclusion of the work, our home was left spotless and all detritus from the outgoing window works departed with them. All in all, an outstanding job by a company that proved they deserve every little bit of the accolades they get on Angie's List.

We had been wanting to replace the old windows for quite some time. We had a company give an estimate about 3 years ago that came in higher than RWT by 1K. And that was without any storm doors. Another company came in a week or so before Rick (the owner) with a great sales pitch. But they, too, were 1K higher without doors! (If Rick reads this he'll probably raise his prices.) Rick and his crew were always punctual, courteous, and cleaned up every day. I had noticed that there was residue left on the marble window sills from the temporary interior windows previous owners had installed. At first Rick was skeptical but he tested a couple of things and WD40 came to rescue. He cleaned up all the sills. This was above and beyond the call of duty because these were extra windows to be dealt with. The entire job took about 2 days to complete. One hitch came when they were mounting the frame to the front storm door. They realized they were mounting it to open the wrong way. Rick said he would have to order a new door and would be back two weeks (when it came in) to install it. I was expecting to hear a few "darnits" or "damns" but he just looked me in the eye and said "my mistake. I'll have to order a new one." 2 weeks later they mounted the correct door. I hope he was able to use that door on another project thus not having to eat it. I give the highest reccomendation to RWT. New buyers: all companies try to get you to sign a service contract before they leave your house after "the pitch." My recommendation is to wait and sit on it for a couple of days until you make your decision. After the salesman has gone through a lengthy demonstration etc., it's easy to feel like you "should" sign the contract. RWT was very easy going in their sales pitch. No pressure; no smarmy tactics. Rick just tells you like it is and gives you a great price. It has been several months now since the installation and our heating bills are way down. Sweet!

Overall, things went great. Team arrived on time, went to work immediately, and when finished, cleaned up any mess made.

They were punctual for the estimate, explained their product, and reasonably priced.

Rick came out and measured in late October and provided an estimate at the same time. He informed me that they were scheduling work for late December. I informed him that it would be preferable to have the work done prior to Christmas. Rick called several days before Christmas and told me when they would be there. I thought they did a fabulous job with everything! They were neat, courteous, respectful of my furnishings and put everything back the way it was and cleaned up after themselves. In addition, the work they did was terrific. They had to re-trim the windows on the exterior and had to match siding which was 20 years old. The job they did was fantastic. Fit and finish work was perfect. It exceeded all my expectations and I am not that easy to please. I am going to have Rick come back and replace my large bay window in the spring. He replaced windows which were almost 50 years old and I have immediately gained an energy savings from doing so.

This was a no pressure sale. I had estimates from other companies and their prices were higher along with the pressure. RWT came in, measured the existing windows, gave me a quote and brochures then told me to call if I was interested and left. When I called to tell them to do the work, they said it would be a couple of months before they could do the work because they were booked up. They called a month and 1/2 later, scheduled a time and had the work done in one day. The windows look great and the caulking looks flawless. I haven't hesitated to recommend them.

I contacted RWT after reading the reviews on Angie's List. I spoke to Mary, who was very friendly. Rick came out right away and measured and gave us options for replacing the bow window. We were scheduled for last January, but I told them if we could get it done before Christmas that would be great. Sure enough, we got a call, and they were able to come out the week before Christmas to install our new windows. The crew of three that came, were professional and polite and didn't leave any messes. One window had a scratch, that I would never have noticed, but they insisted they would replace it with a new one as soon as they could get it made. Three weeks later they brought the new window and replaced it. I love my new windows!

We were extremely pleased. They had about the same quality window as another company we were looking at. I trusted them more. They seemed very reputable and proved to be so. They were wonderful. They kept everything clean. They cleaned up after themselves immensely.

They were fantastic to work with. They did a great job installing the windows. They offered an excellent warranty. They showed up on time and they were very professional.

Everything went very well. We were able to pick out windows that complemented the house, the installation went as planned, and the windows have been very satisfactory. The price was better than competitors, and the service was great.
