RWT Windows Plus

It was fantastic! We called Ric in initially during our pre-purchase inspection in order to get a ballpark estimate of what we should expect if we purchased the house. He spent just as much time with us then as he did when we called him back to "do it", which we much appreciated. He showed us his products, answered all our questions, and made sure we understood what we were getting. He called back several weeks later once the windows were in to schedule the install appointment, just when he said he would. His crew came out right on time and the install took exactly 3 days as we were told. His guys were great to work with, friendly, informative, respectful and clean. At the end of the 3 days, there wasn't any damage in the house, everything was clean, and the new windows worked great. There were a couple panes with scratches and a sticking handle that they wrote down as needed to be replaced by the manufacturer, I didn't have to argue with them about it all. They returned a few weeks later to replace those items, and check over everything. We couldn't be happier with the new windows, the excellent customer service that RWT gave us and the lower energy bills.

I was very pleased with the whole process. The owner (Rick) came to our house on time for the date scheduled for an estimate. The crew showed up on the scheduled date, on time! They were very professional and took the time to answer all my questions during the process. The clean up was wonderful. I didn't have to lift a finger to clean up after they left. When the job was complete they cleaned the windows and showed me how to properly care for the windows. It was a great experience! I'm so please with the product and RWT. No more drafty windows in my house. My husband and I can already tell the difference. We highly recommend RWT !

This is a belated service report. I felt sorry to Ric and Mary that this was submitted so late. But I do have some extra that others might not have to report. RWT installed 11 windows for our entire 2nd level and they gave us $50 each window. As to every customer of RWT, if not all, the experience, the product and the installation were the best you could possibly got. I have compared to Gilkey and Champion, RWT was really the best for our money. Ric told us that we were eligible to energy tax credit. And we did get over $800 from tax return. On top of that, the return of the investment was something totally blew us away. We accidentally got to know our neighbor's energy bill from a causal conversation. They had a similar house with comparable square footage. Our bill was over $100 less than theirs each month. Our temperature settings were comparable. We thought the big difference was the windows. They had old windows. Our 2nd level had RWT energy efficient window. Our 1st level had double pine windows (not energy efficient type). This is my first time as homeowner to have energy efficient window and I totally felt the difference vs regular double pine window. I can tell by putting my palm on the window that RWT windows felt warmer in the winter than our regular windows. We have had them installed for 3 yrs. They still looked brand new. Considering the energy savings over the past three years plus the tax credit, our investment has been well paid off. We were really glad we made such investment and felt lucky to have RWT as our window company.

They did a great job! They were $5000 cheaper than the other company we were looking at. We love our windows. They were prompt, efficient and cleaned up nicely.

Went very well.Ric called on Sunday evening & said they had a cancellation for Mon.( the next day).I told him I had to leave the house @ 11:45 & if they could arrive before then to come ahead. They came@ 11:15 & were finished before I returned @ 3:00 pm. They put sheets over the carpet & covered the furniture & left the rooms ingood shape. There might have been a 2 or 3 little pieces of debris but overall really a good job.

Rick was very helpful in suggesting a creative solution to re-direct surface water that was coming into the window wells and causing water to damage basement windows. Very courteous and professional installation team, they did a great job of cleaning up after the installation.

Their price was higher than the company I ended going with. They provided me with an estimate over the phone after I provided them with measurements.

I can 't imagine a more positive, stress-free "remodelling" experience than working with Ric, Mary and their "crew". Ric was able to explain all of our options, describing the pros and cons of the choices we had. He was knowledgeable, honest, professional, respectful and friendly from the first moment we met (for a consult/estimate) -- all with no sales pressure at all. He had great ideas for addressing access issues for some particularly awkward windows (we're still not sure exactly how he pulled it off!). I had a question about a minor cosmetic point when they were finished, and Ric sent someone out to address it right away. We would definitely use RWT again.

Awesome! My experience with RWT was terrific. Rick, the owner, is extremely professional and knowledgeable about his products. His team was extremely professional and very courteous. They were also extremely efficient and clean. They laid down drop cloths and rugs on all surfaces including tables where they were working. Their clean up was amazing as well. They vacuumed and mopped all the areas where they worked. Once they were done, Rick walked me through every window, door to make sure I approved and understood how they worked. They installed a sliding glass door they had never installed before. It took longer than they expected, but did a great job. A day or two later, Rick brought the manufacturers rep to the house to look at the door. Overall an outstanding experience. When I save up more money, I'll call them again to replace some more of my windows. My house is 20 years old and needs some work.

They were very professional. They stuck with their commitments. They cleaned up everything after they were done. They showed up on time with their appointments. We had no issues with them at all. I believe it?s an owner operated company. The owner actually came out and sat with us, and gave us the details on what kind of windows we could buy. They were very good in terms of not pushing for the most expensive options and actually recommending to go in for the cheaper ones. They were very honest and upfront about what you would get for your money, and they would recommend you what to go in for. I would use their services again in the future.

Scheduling the free estimate was easy. When a big snow storm hit the night before the visit, I received a call that next morning (before the appointment was scheduled to occur) to get it rescheduled. The owner came to do the estimate himself. There was no pressure at all and he answered all my questions with plenty of detail. The prices were comparable (actually just a tad bit lower) that estimates I received from other companies. Ultimately I went with a different company for some small reasons: I liked the other windows a little bit more, not that there was anything wrong with the windows RWT was selling and the other company could do the installation earlier (RWT had lots of business and doesn't sub that work out, which I think is wise on their part and shows a commitment to ensuring quality work). I would absolutely consider them again.

A+ experience from start to finish... best price, great product and first class operation from top to bottom

The owner provided an explanation of our choices and showed us samples. I felt the explanation was fair and balanced and allowed us to make the best choice for our situation. We were given a time frame of late November for the installation, but he was able to fit us in in early November, which was very helpful for us. We were not home the day of service and therefore I was not able to meet the individuals who did the actual job. I got a voice mail message after they were done telling me that they had to remove several tiles in the kitchen in order to fit the new window. While I understand this was necessary, this cost me $125 to have repaired since RWT did not have the ability to cut and reapply the tiles. However, the owner was very responsive and reimbursed me fully for this expense. I felt that RWT was sincere, honest, and professional and I plan to contract them again next year to replace the remaining windows in our home.

The estimate was very low key with a no pressure sales approach. The price I was quoted was the best I received from anyone, better than 5 other companies. I decided to go with RWT because they had the best price combined with a top rating. Installation was smooth; they cleaned up very well. The windows look great and I am very happy with the quality. Overall this was a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend RWT to anyone looking into replacement windows. With their very reasonable rates and a top rating you really can't go wrong.

They were very nice, but I ended-up going with someone else. Their price ended up being higher and they weren't going to do as much work as the company I choose.

THIS PROJECT WENT VERY WELL. I SELECTED THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THE OWNER IS ON THE JOB AND THE WORKERS ARE EMPLOYEES AS OPPOSED TO CONTRACTORS. THEIR PRICE WAS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO ONE OTHER BID THAT I RECEIVED. RIC CAME OUT TO THE HOUSE AT THE EXACT TIME OF OUR APPOINTMENT AND GAVE US AN ESTIMATE. THERE WAS NO HIGH PRESSURE SALES. WHEN THE INSTALLATION WAS SCHEDULED THE WORKERS SHOW UP ON TIME AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. RIC REMAINED ON THE JOB TO THE END. THE WINDOWS THAT THEY REPLACED WERE NOT YOUR TYPICAL REPLACEMENT WINDOWS. THEY ARE VERY LARGE PICTURE WINDOWS AND THE CREW DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WORKING TOGETHER TO GET THEM INSTALLED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE CREW DID AN EXCELLENT JOB CLEANING UP AND ALL WINDOWS WERE WASHED. THE ONLY THING THAT I WAS NOT 100% SATISFIED WITH IS THE CAULKING JOB IN A COUPLE AREAS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY.

The owner of the company, Ric Thress, came out in April to give us a quote on the windows. When I had questions about the type of windows I wanted, he made another visit so we could compare two types of windows. The work was completed in the time frame set when we signed the contract. Ric had a team of people working with him. All were friendly and heard-working. Ric's wife Mary was also on the job, helping to keep things clean. There was an issue with the wooden spokes not being put into the half-circle window. It was ordered correctly, but not shipped with the spokes. The issue was resolved quickly with complete satisfaction. I wold highly recommend RWT Windows.

I chose RWT over other vendors primarily because of the customization of the solution and attention to detail evident even in the first visit. The only area that gave me pause for consideration is that other companies with good reviews manufacture their own products, but after reviewing the materials, the warranty and the efficiency ratings for windows RWT uses were very comparable. What stood out (not always to me but to others who were around during the 3 days of work) was: 1 - the attention to detail (more aptly described as perfectionism) the team showed throughout the process, including levelling and re-levelling units, triple-checking colors with me, etc. 2 - the cleanliness of the team, which cleaned up each day at the end of the day even when they were returning the next morning. In fact, the one day the power went out (the team rushed to install windows and plastic cover everything), they could not use their normal vacuums and instead hand swept the entire work area. 3 - Rick also installed flashing over a large second story window when I explained the water leaking that we believed caused rotting in first story units. Rick and the team did an excellent job installing flashing around the entire window (more than I expected as I thought only the sill would receive flashing), and if I did not know to look for it would not have known it was flashed because they matched the color of the vinyl to the color of the original wood window. Overall they were excellent and while windows are expensive, their prices were competitive, the quality of the product was good, and the installation/service level were excellent.

The installation was on time, as scheduled, and very professional. It took 2-1/2 days to replace 16 windows & 2 new exterior doors. The team was very professional & courteous, they protected all our furniture & wood floors from their work, and they cleaned up their mess daily. We were extremely pleased with the results.

The owner came to provide estimate & measure within a couple of days of my call, and did not torture us with a long sales pitch. The windows actually arrived and were installed earlier than estimated. The installation was done in one day (with the exception of 1 window that had to be reordered because of mis-measure). The crew was professional and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. The owner's wife came and washed all the windows after installation. Long story short: they came when they said they would come and did what they said they would do.
