Description of Work: This is the first time I used my angie's list membership I needed a painter for one bedroom The owner of the company and his brother came out and gave me an estimate of $750. I thought that was high but I needed it done in a hurry because my elderlly mother was moving in unexpectedly and they said they would fix the chipping paint and paint and could do it two days later so the deal was done! The brother showed up alone to do the work and was here 10 minutes and stomped out like a child saying the repair work on the walls was just too much and LEFT!!!! Now let me remind you these were the same walls he looked at 2 days ago when they gave me an estimate. I am sorry Angie but if this is the type of company you endorse I feel I need to cancel my subscription with you ASAP! Would you please terminate this as of right now! Jill McCabe

Description of Work: We have had the Klei family since we moved into our current home since 1986. Services began with wallpaper that had been applied over unprimed drywall. That progressed to restaining our wood siding, which is the majority of the structure of our home. What a "GREAT" job! They replaced some of the cedar siding that was showing rot and added end-caps to some of the structural compotents. They inspect the proposed job thorouly before they give a written quote, answer any questions, and go over all the steps and products they will be using. Very professional in demeanor and attire. They clean up everything at the end of each day and to your satisfaction. Interior work is done as quiet as can be...I had some serious stages of illness at one stage of there job, and I was pleasantly surprised. We have used them many, many times since 1986, and for see using them again and again!! We are NOT from Cincinnati, so there are no connections, except for words of mouth...we lucked out on finding the KLEI Bros and Inc! Kathy and Frank McGourty

Description of Work: I used the services of Ron Klei & Sons for interior paintings. I last used them in April 2010.

Description of Work: I had an appointment at 9 am and I waited until 10 am and he never showed up. He had told me on the phone that they were busy. But, if you are too busy for another customer then don't make an appointment and waste the customers time. I could have scheduled someone else in that time slot.

Description of Work: Powerwashed, caulked and stained cedar house and trim.

Description of Work: He called back within 3 or 4 days to do an estimate. He mailed me the estimate about a week and a half later. His estimate was more thorough than some other companies I contacted about this job. He answered all of the questions I had. In the end, I ended up choosing another contractor becuase of the price.

Description of Work: Hardie Siding used on garage side of house and other minor wood repair. All wood on house stained. Hardie siding painted. The workers were very pleasant. At one point they needed to use my garage hose. I mentioned that it leaked because I did not have the strength to tighten the connection. They actually fixed the hose. I couldn't believe it! I liked the work quality. This house has never looked so good since we bought it. I was surprised at how hard the people worked. How clean they left the place when they were done. Use them. This company does it all right.

Description of Work: I had called Ron to get an estimate for some painting. Ron was very diligent about trying to contract me and made at least three attempts before we actually spoke. I had to defer the painting in order to complete some repairs, but I would definitely call him again.

Description of Work: Was very punctual to give an estimate for painting a two-story entry. However, his estimate was three times higher than another quote we received. We had the work done by another contractor.

Description of Work: I CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE ON HIS RECORDER FOR AN ESTIMATE, AND HE NEVER RETURNED THE CALL.

Description of Work: HE TOLD US IN NOVEMBER 2002 THAT HE WOULD PAINT OUR HOUSE. THEN HE TOLD US YESTERDAY THAT HE COULD NOT PAINT OUR HOUSE BECAUSE THE STUCCO IS IN TOO BAD A SHAPE.
