Rain-a-way was recommended by a neighbor who recently used them for roofing & gutters. Glad he did because I was doing all of the leg work for my mother-in-law as far as getting the estimates and communcating with the contractors. After having 4 companies out for quotes on the work, Darrell was a true pleasure dealing with. He was very responsive in getting out to do the estimate as well as fully explaining all of the specifics of the work that needed to be done. On a last minute request, Darrell dropped of samples so that my mother-in-law could see / confirm what materials they were using if they were to get the job. Even after they started the job, the installers temporarily hung a section of gutter along the back in order to have a section of custom facia board made to replace some rotted wood. I called to confirm and Darrell called back immediately the next morning to give me updates so that I could ease my mother-in-laws concerns. My mother-in-law is old school and very critical of work done on her home and she was very pleased with the workmanship. If mother-in-law is happy, we're all happy! Thanks Darrell and team!

I called this company because of what I read on Angie's list. I requested an estimate and never heard from them again until I received a thorough written quote and contract in the mail. I elected to drive to their place of business because I wanted to see the product and meet the people. I spoke with the owner Darrell Sams. He was extremely personable and likeable, answered all my questions, and showed me the products he would use. I signed the contract and requested to be notified when the work would be done. Approximately one week later I arrived home to find my new gutters and leaf filter system had been installed. They looked great and handled a heavy rain that night with no overflow problems that I had with the old gutters. They do nice work, they will come and go without notice, regardless of what they say, and you will be satisfied.

It went very well. The gutter looks really nice. The only surprise I had is they didn't tell us they were coming out to do the work. We went home one day and they were working on the house. I would have liked some notice. Other than that the quality is good and they cleaned up their mess.

I called Rain-A-Way and they were very polite and responsive on the phone. They came out and quoted the job, which was relatively small. They were then able to work me into their schedule to get the roof fixed as quickly as possible. I had used them many years ago for box gutter and flat roof replacement and they were referred to me by a friend that they did work for. I am very happy with their service, professionalism and quality and will go back for any additional roof and gutter work needed.

The gutter at the corner of my garage was set too low by the original installer and made it look as if the shingles were raising. The phone contact was very polite as was the worker who came to estimate the job. He came when he said he would. His estimate was $125, $100 to send his workmen out to the job and $25 for an extra 15 minutes (small job). We did not set a date since it was not a urgent job. They came a week later when I was away and completed the job very satisfactorily. They billed me several days later for $100. They were very professional and pleasant to deal with.

Quick and painless. No problems thus far and like not having to clean out gutters. Employees were courteous and quick. Left a few metal scraps behind (not ideal with little kids around), but generally very good work.

I have a very old house, so they had to replace several things. I have used them for numerous projects throughout the years, including storm window replacement and roof work. They are very honest, fair, and give me money saving options.

I thought it was well done. Workers were dependable and on time.

THEY WERE KIND OF PRICEY. THEY WORK WAS SATISFACTORY, BUT I THOUGHT THAT THE CHARGE WAS STEEP. THEY SHOWED UP ANNOUNCED, INSTEAD OF A SCHEDULED TIME. LUCKILY I WAS HOME.

I was very pleased with the service from beginning to end. I feel I got a fair price & the work looks excellent. I was not pressured to sit for hours listening to a presentation & I did not have to take off work for any part of the process. As a single woman homeowner, I am always skeptical of companies because of bad experiences. This company was a pleasure to deal with.

They did all of the work while we were out and they cleaned up so well both days, we didn't realize they were there!

Installation was done efficiently. Had to call twice to have them deal with water flowing over the top of the gutter topper. This was occurring because the upper level gutter empties onto the lower roof, and the flow from that was too much for the gutter top to handle. They had to experiment with this twice, adding diverters to the top of the roof below the upper gutter between it and the lower gutter. This eventually solved the problem. They also had to come back and re-fix a leak in the back gutter. We still have a slight leak back there and some occasional overflow drips in the front. Overall I am OK with the solution but not impressed with the knowledge of this company. I expected them to be able to solve this problem the first time. They seemed baffled by it and that seemed to me like lack of experience with handling this situation.

Unable to come out till the next week.

WE HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH RAIN-A-WAY. WE HAD ONE GUTTER THAT WAS NOT DRAINING PROPERLY, EVEN AFTER WE CLEANED IT OUT. RAIN-A-WAY FIXED THE GUTTER THAT WAS FIXED VERY QUICKLY AND DID NOT TRY TO SELL US A WHOLE NEW GUTTER SYSTEM FOR THE WHOLE HOUSE, WHICH IS WHAT A COUPLE OTHER GUTTER COMPANIES DID. THE WORK HAS STOOD UP TO TWO REALLY HARD RAINS SO FAR.

VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS DONE RIGHT. AFTER THEY REMOVED THE OLD ROOF AND REPLACED IT, I DID NOT FIND ONE SINGLE NAIL IN THE YARD OR DRIVEWAY BESIDE THE HOUSE. THEY LEFT THE AREA CLEANER THAN WHEN THEY ARRIVED. WORKERS ARE COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL, AND THEY DO WHATEVER THEY CAN TO MAKE SURE THE HOUSE IS IN GOOD SHAPE.

IT WAS TRULY A PLEASURE DEALING WITH MR. DARRELL SAMS. HE WAS VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD AND CANDID WITH ALL OUR DEALINGS. HE WAS VERY FLEXIBLE IN SCHEDULING THE WORK AND COORDINATING WITH THE PAINTERS. HIS FULLTIME, TWO-MAN CREW WAS COMPLETELY PROFESSIONAL, AND ALWAYS PUNCTUAL. CLEAN-UP WAS COMPLETED AT THE END OF EACH WORK DAY. WE HAD A MINOR MIX-UP WITH REGARD TO THE EXACT TYPE OF GUTTER GUARDS I REQUESTED, BUT THAT HAS BEEN DISCUSSED AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE END RESULTS AND THE TOTAL PROJECT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

IT TOOK THEM QUITE A WHILE TO GET TO MY JOB. WHEN I CONTRACTED WITH THEM THEY SAID 10 DAYS TO 2 WEEKS. IT WAS ACTUALLY ABOUT 3 1/2 WEEKS. ALSO THEY SAID THEY WOULD COME ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON OR MONDAY MORNING.... FINALLY SHOWED UP ON WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE WEATHER WAS HORRIBLY HOT SO MAYBE THIS IS WHY, BUT I RECEIVED NO CALL OF EXPLANATION. OTHERWISE, VERY SATISFIED - REASONABLE PRICE AND NICE PEOPLE.

THE ESTIMATE WAS FREE, AS STATED, AND DONE IN A VERY TIMELY MANNER. AS IT TURNED OUT, IT WAS A SMALL JOB AND SO IT TOOK NEARLY 7 WEEKS FOR THEM TO FINALLY COME OUT TO THE HOUSE (AFTER A FEW CALLS AND A REQUEST TO CANCEL MY WORK ORDER). THEY WERE ALWAYS VERY NICE, JUST DID NOT SHOW UP. I GUESS THEY SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST TOLD ME I WAS ON A WAITING LIST, OR THAT THEY WOULD NOT GET TO ME UNTIL THE END OF THE SUMMER. THEN I WOULD HAVE HAD THE OPTION TO ACCEPT THE WAIT OR GO ELSEWHERE. THE WORKERS SEEMED AS NICE AS CAN BE EXPECTED IN 95 DEGREE WEATHER. THEY WERE ONLY HERE AN HOUR OR LESS. IT HAS NOT RAINED SINCE THE WORK, SO I CAN'T COMMENT ON THE RESULTS, BUT I DO LIKE THAT THEY SEND A BILL AND GIVE 30 DAYS TO PAY. THEY ALSO SEND A FEEDBACK FORM FOR YOUR TO MAKE COMMENTS ABOUT THEIR SERVICES.

PROFESSIONAL AND PROMPT PROPOSAL BY DARRELL SAMS, WORK WAS DONE VERY SOON AFTER CONTRACT SIGNED. A MISCOMMUNICATION OVER THE EXACT NUMBER OF GUTTERS TO BE INSTALLED WAS VERY COURTEOUSLY ADDRESSED AND RESOLVED BY MR. SAMS. REASONABLE PRICE, VERY TIDY WORK, GUTTERS LOOK AND WORK GREAT. I WOULD CERTAINLY USE THEM AGAIN.
