Buyer beware. I had a 30 year roof put on my house by Rain-A-Way 10 years ago because I didn't want to worry about a roof leak and wanted better than a 20 year shingle. I got a leak on July 6th and called the company and left a message. I talked to them again on Monday July 8th and they asked for pictures which I sent that day. We had heavy rains all week, Contacted them again on the 9th, 10th & 12th and finally late afternoon on the 12th they said they couldn't come out until the following week. At no time did any of the 3-4 people I spoke with tell me to find someone else to get on my roof and put a tarp over it because they wouldn't be out for over a week and they just jerked me around all week. When your Rain-A-Away roof springs a leak down the road don't expect anyone to come out for days, you're on your own. Had I known that on Monday I could have had a coworker stop by and help me with that. Now I have extensive damage that I have to have fixed myself because they take no responsibility for not being upfront for days that they wouldn't be bothered to come out for a week and a half. I don't know how you can do business that way.

Someone came out to give us a quote, which we signed and returned back. We waited to get on their schedule and never heard back after more than a month. I followed up several times via phone and email and never heard anything back after waiting several months. Not sure why they go through the trouble of having an employee come to our residence to give an estimate if they don't seem to actually want our business.

A happy experience start to finish. The owner, Mr. Sams, took a great deal of time to go over and explain everything on the estimate. The crew was very careful and very professional. Every contact with the office staff was pleasant and any questions we had were answered quickly and professionally. The materials are excellent and the workmanship is first class. Highly recommend Rain-A-Way.

Went great. Mark pointed out a leak in a downspout S-joint and I'll have them back out to repair that, too.

I have had a problem with water entering my house at the junction of my house and a sun room addition I had built. This problem occurred only occasionally during hard rains with hard winds and water would drip from the door header joining the sun room with the main part of the house. I contacted Rain-A-Way about the problem. Darrell Sams came out to look at the situation. I could tell right away that Darrell knew his business. I’m the type of guy who enters a grocery store for a head of lettuce and comes out with $200 in groceries so I try to be cautious when someone is selling me something. Darrell was able to identify one area of the problem right away and I knew he was right because I’ve seen what he explained in action. I had normal size gutters in the back of my house which drained a large square footage of roof and the quantity of water overwhelmed the gutters. He suggested 6” gutters be installed. Also, Darrell had looked behind the vinyl siding and noted that house wrap wasn’t installed during construction. He said with the house wrap that any moisture that penetrated the siding would drain away and not run down the exterior walls getting into the header of my exterior doors. I was sold. He provided the best explanation and solution to my problem that I had received. His crew came out in two stages: once for the gutters and the other for the house wrap. Both crews were courteous and careful about their work. They didn’t talk much because they were busy working. After both areas had been completed I took a hose and drenched the siding to check for leaks interior to my house. Seems as if Rain-A-Way has solved my problem. Very happy at this time with the work, and hope it holds out in the future.

The gutters were properly reattached to the roof and pitched properly. A small roof repair was performed due to falling tree limb damage. The gutter covers were installed and have worked well since. The installers were courteous , efficient and friendly. All work debris was cleaned up as well.

The workers were very efficient and thorough. They cleaned up very well, and answered all of my questions.

It went great! I really liked what they did. I like their plans. They came and they did the work. They gave me 10 days to pay, and if I pay within 10 days they gave me a 5% discount.

It was good. They got the job done while I was at work. There was no sign that they had been there other than the new gutters. Scheduling was good.

They are timely and professional. Their quality is top shelf and they do a great job. We are currently in the process of having them quote us for windows and doors as well.

From start to finish this company was a pleasure to work with the installation of my gutters, from estimate to the completion of the job. The guys were very efficient and friendly during installation. The only complaint that I had was that it was a bit pricey, however as with anything in life you get what you pay for. I paid for a quality product and work which is exactly what I received. I would without doubt use this company again in the future

The estimate for the work was timely and competitive. All details and options were clearly explained. When the crew arrived to do the installation, they came to the door and announced themselves prior to starting the work. I really appreciated that. They worked efficiently and removed all debris after installation. Follow up by the owner was stellar. I would definitely recommend this company for your roofing and gutter projects.

They are honest and thorough in their work. They’ve done two roofs for me and have done a great job on both. They are a reliable and dependable service.

They were quick to respond, professional, and priced reasonably.

It went well, but they did not give a specific time/date for the bid or the work. When they came, I was not home. I would have liked to talk to them to understand the service better.

Overall it was good. A free quote was provided promptly and I liked that I did not need to be home in order for them to come out and give a quote (they mailed it). The process of accepting the job was easy. Communication from their on out was not very good. No one ever called me to let me know that they recieved the fax or to set up a time to come out. I had to call and make sure they recieved it and to set up a time, which then was very tentative and unclear. I wanted to be home while the workers were doing the work because I have two dogs that I didn't want to be frightened. The person on the phone assured me that someone would call to confirm when they were coming out, but that call never happened. They just showed up one morning without notice. The workers were very friendly and nice. The quality of the gutters and work was excellent. They worked fast and were considerate.

I called this company to obtain an estimate for some gutter work. The individual who answered the phone didn't very clearly identify himself and the company he was associated with, so I almost wondered if I had the wrong number. He said he'd pass my information on to someone else and have him call me. No one ever called me. Responsiveness to calls is critical to showing how professional you are and whether you want my business. I wont chase someone down for a quote...if they don't respond to me within a day or two at the latest, you already lost my business and discredited your reputation.

The whole experience was wonderful. Unlike the present age of more salesmanship and less workmanship, Rain- away exteriors stands for the old adage "Doing the right thing." when you call them the owner Darrel Sams personally visits the work site and gives you a go over on the work to be done and makes a reasonable quote. He is an expert who shows a rare combination of superior knowledge and humility with a listening ear. The rates quoted are reasonable because the job done is excellent. The work men who do the job are courteous and professional and give no cause for any negative response. Overall the interaction with rain away was very good and I would gladly recommend them to anybody looking for good gutter and roof work.

I had my gutters cleaned, and had Rain-A-Way re-attach my drooping gutters several months ago, because I had had water leak into the house around one window after heavy rain last year. I was pleased with their work. Since that time,I was concerned because the man who plastered around that window thought the soffit might be sagging in that area. I called Rain-A-Way and someone came out to check the soffit. He found no problem with it, and did not charge me for the inspection. Because I was worried about that area leaking again, I asked if a gutter guard could be placed on just the problem side of the house. A contract was sent to me, and two weeks later the gutter guard was placed. Very happy with the service.

I would use Rain-A-Way again for new gutters.

==I had someone from the company come out and give me an estimate. As I was very busy with my mom having surgery in cleveland, I did not have a chance to fax back the acceptance for about 1 month. After I did, I called to confirm that it was received. I did not get an answer and left a voice mail. The next day I got a call back and the person I spoke with said "I have a few in front of you but we will get to you soon." About a week later the crew showed up at my house unannounced without calling before hand as my wife was leaving for work. They pressure washed the gutters and that is all I know that they did. I did see that they had done some seam work. I did not hear from them again after that. About 4-5 days later there was still no additional work done. 2 weeks later, I received a bill in the mail. At that time, I looked out the window and saw that the gutters had been painted (what else was done, i am not sure). I asked my wife if she knew and she told me that they showed up unannounced again. This time while I was at work again and when she was leaving. With my 14 year old step daughter home alone and unknown men on the roof. I tried to contact the business this afternoon to find out what exactly was done since no one was home when they were working. I have not hear back yet. Again, I am curious to see what will happen next time it rains is i do not even know if they got up to the 3rd floor gutters. The positive part of the experience is that the cost was about 1000.00 less than the estimate. Why? Im sure I will find out.
