Description of Work: We are having major work done on our big picture window and the folks from Pickens Window Service were right on time to give us an estimate. They were right up front about how long it would take to get the materials in and were courteous and professional while measuring our window. We're anticipating the same great service when the window is repaired!

Description of Work: Repaired the balances on 11 windows in our rental home. Very professional and got the job done. They are very busy so getting an appointment is rather difficult. Also, the parts are very reasonably priced but the labor is quite expense (~$98/hour) so they share the cost of the parts individually in case you want to do the work yourself.

Description of Work: I had a salesguy from Pickens inspect my windows (broken) for a quote. He actually recommended not replacing the broken panes but replacing the windows entirely (even though his company doesn't sell windows!) Love it when service companies give you their best advice, and don't try to sell you something just to sell you something.

Description of Work: I had some older pozzi windows in which the sashes had fallen apart due to weather they came out measured and then replaced them. Great workers very polite .clean , on time.

Description of Work: I called Pickens Window out to look at two windows that wouldn't remain open. It took over 2 weeks for a repairman to come out. When Gary did arrive, he informed me what was needed and said the parts must be ordered. He also said he was going to have surgery and wanted to get this job completed within the next few weeks (prior to the surgery). I waited 10 days and called to see if the parts had arrived and was told I needed to speak to Gary directly and she would have him call. After a couple of days and no call from Gary, I phoned again and spoke with Gary, who acted like he didn't know who I was, but promised to look into the problem. That was over 6 weeks ago and the last time I spoke to anyone from Pickens. I don't think anyone with this company cares enough to follow up on anything. I would not have them in my home again. If this is how they take care of customers PRIOR to performing any service, how would I be treated if there was a problem AFTER installation?

Description of Work: I have cheap original windows installed in 1998. One of the pins (pivot bars) that keep the window sliding up and down without pulling out of the track broke along with a tilt latch. Tom called me when he was on the way so I could leave work and meet him. Tom was quick and efficient and explained what the problems were. Materials $9.80, Trip charge of $55.00, labor for just under an hour: $78.00. A little pricey, but much less than replacing the window.
