"the individuals who did the job were very good and knowledgable" and you would hire us again, but only a rating of C? The statement that we "probably" did not get rid of all the bugs was also a confusing statement. We really wanted to know more about what we had treated for and why the current bug situation was in doubt, but unfortunately, we were not able to find any account or service for [member name removed]or [member name removed]. Are you sure it was Pest-All Exterminating that provided your service? They always call before they come and are very accommodating as we have grandchildren and do not want them to treat right before they arrive. They will, in fact, make the appointment for when our grandchildren leave. If we notice there are ants they take care of it. They also take care of the basement and garage by putting down traps to catch any spiders, insects, etc. Anything that comes in the basement. It’s always the same person who comes out. We continue to use them because they do very good work.

I am happy with Pest-All Exterminating. We got them from a recommendation. They did a fine job. One thing about them is, and I don’t know if this might be normal, I pay them so much a year and it’s sort of like insurance and I don’t know if it’s normal for pesticide companies like that to do this. I pay them a fee every year and then they come out to inspect for termites and supposedly if we have termites returning to us, they will come out immediately and take care of our problem and I guess that would be free. I have called them for other problems and instead of me hiring them out, they would sell a product to me and I did like that. They seem to be looking after me. They are responsive and give me a call.

While we may have hoped for higher grades, what is important is that you are happy with Pest-All, you continue to use us whenever you have an insect problem and you would recommend Pest-All to others. We can understand your confusion with your annual termite renewal. Because of the nature of termites and termite treatments, the annual termite renewal is an offering that is standard for nearly all companies in the termite industry. Annual termite renewals are confusing because like you said, you are not paying for any particular service but more like an insurance policy. On the face of it termite treatments, which are different from all other insect treatments, seem simple: pump 100 gallons of termiticide into the soil along the foundation of a house to create a continuous barrier that will keep termites out. In reality however, a termite treatment involves blindly pumping termiticide under ground and hoping it flows properly to create a continuous barrier and that that barrier will remain unbroken for many years. Due to the high cost of termite treatments and the potential for reinfestation beyond the control of the company providing the treatment, termite companies offer an annual termite renewal to help customers mediate the risk that they may have to have another termite treatment performed in the years after the initial service. With payment of an annual termite renewal (at Pest-All usually 12 -15% of the initial termite treatment cost), customers can insure that they will never have to pay anything if termites should reinfest and the home needs to be treated once again. The annual termite renewal is also a valuable thing to have when someone goes to sell their house. But for those customers that do not see the value, the annual termite renewal is a purely optional fee. Customers who choose to accept the risk that at some point they may face the expense of another termite treatment, can simply choose not to pay the annual termite renewal. So in sum, we can understand your uncertainty and confusion about paying $245 every year and not receiving any particular termiticide application. But like an extended warranty on a car or piece of electronics, that $245 every year provides the protection against the expense (the termite treatment at this property in 2006 was $1,656.00) of having to have the house treated over again if termites were to return.

They don't demand payment at the time and that is nice. They generally leave a statement and we can write a check for that in the next couple of days or we can wait until the actual bill arrives and then pay for it. We have got different operators and it does make a difference but they all call, at least the evening or the day before and make sure that it is okay that they are coming the next morning. They do a good job and I haven't had any problem with pests. We do get some bugs sometimes when it starts to warm up, but that is very rare. Their service has been very helpful for the most part. We have a fairly large house of about 4600 sq. feet and I think their rates are reasonable. We are perfectly satisfied with their service. We are gong to be calling them to switch from a monthly to quarterly service, and that is simply due to our financial situation and it doesn't have to do with their quality of service. They are very friendly men. The company needs to do something to boost its image. The men they send out are talkative and friendly, but they are not all that well-groomed.
