Description of Work: I called them on Jan. 7 because the heat didn't seem to be coming on. House was at 59 degrees. Called, they said someone would be out in the afternoon. The heat eventually came back on, but I wanted someone to check it. By 5:00, still no one came, I called, they said, "well, your heat is on, don't worry about it". Went out of town for 4 days. Returned Sunday, Jan. 11 and heat was off, house was 48 degrees. They came out that evening, needed a part, so they couldn't fix it right away. They returned Monday afternoon and fixed it. But all this wouldn't have happened if they had just come out on Wednesday as I had asked them to.

Description of Work: Nelson Comfort came for a Spring A/C checkup. I knew my A/C units were old and making noise. I ended up getting two new units that were quieter and more energy efficient. The Nelson Comfort technician explained the different options and recommended replacing the filter as what I had was "old technology" - this required expanding the space for the filter which was done neatly. The workmen were courteous and professional, wore foot covers while in my home, arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. Nelson Comfort also replaced one of my furnaces last winter. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: I called them because my furnace was not working. The nice lady who answered the phone asked me if I checked the batteries on my thermostat. I didn't know it had batteries. I went to CVS bought batteries & my furnace turned on! How many companies would save you money if it meant they wouldn't make any money?

Description of Work: Although the representative for this company was competent, knowledgeable, and professional, we were getting a bid from them to compare a furnace price which we had received earlier. He did not inspect the furnace, but gave us a comparable bid. If we did not have a contract with Hauser Heating, we would consider this company ! The company did not charge for giving us the bid.

Description of Work: Tech performed cleaning and tune-up of gas furnace, and cleaned humidifier and replaced pad with factory-spec pad. Did an awesome job explaining in detail what he did and why, was prompt, courteous, and professional.

Description of Work: Hilliard Electric (HE) gets high marks for their competitive estimates, their attention to the customer, the quality of work, and follow-through. He performed 2 pieces of work, installed kitchen chandelier and installed ground flood lighting to the front of our subdivision's entry walls. Both jobs were done with excellence. Electricians came to the house to provide estimate for kitchen, arranged installation date. Arrived on time, executed with excellence, then cleaned up. At that time, I asked if he works on ground lighting, as our front subdivision wall's lighting had not been functioning for years. Came back during day to assess pre-existing wiring, state of fuse box, then compiled detailed quotation and explained what needed to be done for front wall to be lit. Took proposal, along with others that were more expensive, for vote among residents of homeowners association. He installed lighting with timers, and front walls have never looked so good. Very pleased with Hilliard Electric, and will partner with them in the future for other lighting needs.
