Had a Big Deal for end of the summer A/C tune up. They came in and did their thing. Worked quickly, didn't make a mess, and were easy to schedule. Was happy with the service

We have used Nelson Comfort for aver 2 years. We have a standing contract with them to do our heating and cooling. They have come out when our furnace had shut off . At the time we had a contract with another company and they had said they were too busy, couldn't come out for another 2 days. It was 50 degrees in the house and we had to put up space heaters and use our fire place, but still couldn't get warm. Nelson Comfort came out the same day we called them. Our furnace has gone out twice and Nelson Comfort has come to our rescue twice. Their price might be a little higher, but their technicians are top notch.They figured out why our furnace kept going out. I really trust them. You get a break by signing up on their contract for a year or two. We took two years cause we know we will stick with them.

Nelson Comfort is very good. I have them on a contract. They do summer and winter for the air conditioner and furnace. They are trustworthy. The quality is so far so good. Since I have a contract, their responsiveness is very quick. Punctuality has been excellent.

Last spring was the spring check-up. So it was just routine servicing.

They go above and beyond and are always very professional and pleasant. I have a maintenance contract with them. Nick was very efficient and he explained a lot of things that I did not know about the furnace and the humidifier. He also took care of the blockage on one of the outside vents. He answered the questions I had and he was very thorough.

Chris was polite and courteous, went the extra mile to extend the operation of my boiler throughout the winter months. We ultimately needed to replace the unit, but were able to get through the winter without being down our boiler for a week thanks to nelson!

Sometime yesterday our air conditioning stopped cooling the house -- it was over 80 degrees inside the house even though we had the thermostat set at 73. So we found Nelson Comfort on Angie's List and decided to give them a try (hadn't used them previously). We called them at about 4:30 in the afternoon, so late in the day. They sent a technician (Ron) to our house almost immediately -- he was there by 5:10 and had identified and fixed the problem (a part that needed to be replace in our outside unit) by about 5:30. They were amazingly responsive and Ron was very professional. Plus, they honored an Angie's List coupon for 10% off labor, so the total for labor and the part was just over $200 -- I'm guessing it could have been higher if we had gone somewhere else, or we would have had to wait a day or two to get someone out to help us. Our experience with Nelson was great -- I highly recommend them and we will definitely use them in the future.

Called and was able to promptly schedule service on the morning that worked best for me. Electrician arrived on time, quickly understood what I wanted in terms of outlet placement and which circuits to use. The workmanship to install the conduits and new boxes was outstanding. Very professional, left no mess.

It went pretty well. I didn't spend anything extra. I elected to have no work done and it turned out that there wasn't a leak and they had filled the coolant. I used them because they had pretty good reviews. The technician they sent was pretty straightforward, pretty helpful and explained everything he was doing and it was a good experience overall.

At our last home the 30 year old furnace went out when it was really cold, around the first part of February. We called this company and they were able to get it up, but a few weeks later it went down again because of how old it was. We decided that we would have to replace it. My husband was in the hospital at the time, so I was not home, but did want to replace it. My neighbor was able to let them in to do the replacement and by the time I brought my husband home they had everything installed and cleaned up! They got everything done while I was running back and forth between the hospital and there. They had serviced the home on a regular basis per our service contract, so it was great that I could just call them, welcome them into my home when I was not there, and they got everything done for us. The salesman was wonderful and the office staff worked with them as well to make sure that everything was done smoothly. We still have them come out in both the summer and the fall to check the furnace for the upcoming season. They are an excellent company to work with and are always very responsive and reasonable.

It worked out extremely well. It was resolved very quickly. They're an outstanding local company and privately owned. They were very prompt and very helpful. They're well trained. I think the price was very much in the norm.

good customer service as it relates to scheduling and refunding. Timing just could never work for me during the time period of the offer. would try them again if the occasion arose.

The specialist was on time. He made an impression of an honest and polite gentleman. Did not try to sell me anything, and patiently answered all the questions I had.

It went lousy. First he said he was all done and that he fixed my receptical. They messed with the electrical socket, and now it doesn’t work. He was in there for two hours trying to figure out what was going on. He also broke up my landline, and now I have no communication to the outside world. I do not have a cell phone number. He looked professional, but he turned out to be very much not so. I would definately under no circumstances recommend him to others.

Waking up to a 52 degree house on probably one of the coldest days in KY in a long time, I started going down the provider list on Angieslist. Most just immediately told me it would be a day or two before they could get here or they were charging overtime fees at the moment. I finally came to Nelson Comfort and rather than turning me away, the awesome lady on the phone walked me through several steps to check the things that I could check like the breaker and the filter, etc. We figured out the problem pretty quickly and poof my heat was back on. I was thrilled!!! She did suggest that I call next week when things had calmed down to have someone come out just to check everything over and possibly clean it out since my filter was in pretty bad shape. We will without a doubt call Nelson Comfort for any heating and air conditioning needs we may have in the future. I was so thankful to have heat and to not have been taken advantage of in my desperate time!!! Thank you!

Nelson Comfort was really great. The technician who assisted me was professional, polite, and answered my many questions. He explained my system to me and even helped me find the right kind of filter to buy for my system. I would definitely use Nelson again.

While at home having work done on some kitchen appliances, I happened into the basement where I noticed a significant amount of water had puddled around the A/C / furnace unit. Once I identified that the source was in fact the A/C unit, I consulted Angie's List for a reputable repair service. I selected Nelson Comfort Heating and Cooling based on their reviews, and contacted them for a service call. The woman that took my call was polite and helpful and advised she would possibly be able to send a technician that very afternoon. I was delighted and surprised when she called back shortly and confirmed that a technician was on his way. A short time after that, the tech (Bob) arrived and we headed to the basement. In less than 10 minutes, Bob diagnosed the problem as a clogged drain trap. I had a shop vac handy from cleaning up the water earlier, and he improvised an easy repair by using the shop vac to suck out the drain line. The clog instantly came loose and the drain line began draining the remaining water normally. Bob showed me how to check for water in the drain pan in the future and shared a tip to add some bleach to the drain pan occasionally to prevent the "slime" that had built up over time and caused the trap to become clogged. Finally, as he had solved the problem so quickly, and mentioning that I had been referred by Angie's List, he only charged me the coupon rate for a basic diagnostic call, as opposed to a full blown service call, saving me upwards of $100. I couldn't be happier. I will definitely not hesitate to use Nelson Comfort for my heating and cooling service and repair needs in the future.

The work team came first thing in the morning and were there until the better part of the afternoon. The workers laid down tarps on the path of getting to the inside unit. I appreciated that additionally they wore footies over their shoes while walking inside my house. The number of workers changed with the task to be accomplished. For instance there was a couple of extra guys available to help dismantle and take away the old equipment. I felt that the work team went about the business of installing the new equipment with great care and efficiency. Once the installation was all finished in the late afternoon the supervisor went over the details of how the new equipment worked with me in a very respectful manner.
