Rodney did all the work by remote which was great because I live sixty miles away. Rodney is always very professional and friendly. What I appreciate the most about Rodney and Matt is that they are very patient since I don't know a lot about computers. They always explain things in a way that I can understand and learn. And, they never make me feel stupid when I ask questions. Their prices are very fair and I really trust them. It's a pleasure to do business with them.

I highly recommend Midwest Protech. Rodney is pleasure to deal with. My hard drive stopped reading data and they were able to use special software to get some of my files off. I also had an old system image that I was not able to restore to a new hard drive, and they were able to get me up and running along with preforming a system scan to clean up my computer. They were a pleasure to deal with and gave me a fair price for how much work they put in.

It was a wonderful experience. The work was done when promised and very professionally. This is a company run by honest Christians which is refreshing to find today. Both laptops look like New and run very well. Their experience was exactly what we needed.

Went fine. Spoke on the phone, dropped it off, and it was done as promised in 3 days. I had a glitch the next week, most likely caused by me, and they had me bring it in and sorted it out overnight with no additional charge. Very good work, sensible and at a fair price. They explained everything to me and offered suggestions for proper care of my tablet.

I began to experience problems with boot up when finally one day my very high end computer refused to boot. Nothing I did improved the situation. I was concerned because I had no back up (lesson learned) so I searched for expert help. As I have had problems in the past with electronic repair service, I searched for a competent tech. Using Angie's List and a recommendation from my daughter, I decided to give Protech a tryout. In addition to requesting resolution of the boot up problem, I asked them to upgrade my graphics by installing a new video card and BIOS chip which I furnished. This is what they found and did: 1. Performed hardware and software diagnostics to identify problems and identify areas for improvement in performance 2. Installed a external hard drive and installed back up software to create a regularly updated backup of my hard drive. 3. Determined that my internal hard drive was corrupted and replaced it with a new and larger capacity solid state drive. Copied all files from the corrupted drive to the new drive and reinstalled the OS. 4. Removed the old video card and installed the new card. Determined the BIOS chip that I furnished was the wrong model. Replaced the BIOS chip with the correct one. Installed the up-to-date video drivers. 5. Optimized Windows (7 - 64 bit). 6. Checked for viruses and malware. Protech called me the day after receiving the computer to discuss their findings and obtain my agreement to a plan of action. At this point Protech could not verify that the hard drive was corrupted but did get the computer to reboot, optimized Windows, installed the video card and BIOS chip and installed and configured the backup drive. I was delighted with the performance of my computer when I got it home, set up and operating. It ran faster, the graphics were superb and I finally had piece of mind that a hard drive failure would not cause me to lose important and valuable files. All worked well for about a week when the computer refused to reboot again. A call to Protech resulted in me taking the computer back and agreeing to replacement of the internal hard drive. Two work days later I received a call that the computer was ready. My computer has worked flawlessly ever since. What impressed me most about Protech was the quickness of their service, phone calls to me to discuss options after diagnosis and prior to service, technical competence, and discussion of fees and expected costs. I highly recommend this provider.

Matt is always willing to help with any problem I have. He does not charge for info and returns calls promptly. He is very, very honest and always willing to help me.

Ive been to this company twice now. Their prices are good and they are always profession, friendly, and patient. I trust them very much. They are always very patient with me when I call in to ask questions about the things they have installed on my computer. After seeing them, they always call me and ask me how things are going. They even sent a thank you note to my home to thank me for my business! I have told others about them and I will definitely go back.

They took a computer that we weren't using and moved all of the software over from the malfunctioning computer to that used computer. They explained things thoroughly and were very upfront.

The business is owned by two Christian men who don't rip you off. They offer expert service for a very,very reasonable price. I had a whole lot of repair work done,bought a new wireless router which they setup for me so that all I had to do was plug it into the home computer.Since I know nothing about computers they explained to me how to install the router.This saved me a service charge for them to come to my home to do it for me.I installed the new router and smelled something burning.Icalled them and they told me to bring the router back. I did. They showed me how I installed it wrong and burned up the new router. They were so very nice and gave me a new router at no charge to me.All I paid for was for them to program the new router. My new router is installed and works great. I feel that they went above and beyond great service. Please if you need work done to your computer take it to them Midwest Protech.This was my first time there and my sister who has had her computers worked on there recommended them.I will use them in the future if needed. Matt and Rod know what they are doing. They explained what they were going to do, provided explanations as need and made recommendations they felt were important - in other words, they treated my laptop as if it were their own. Their pricing is for the actual work being performed and the quality of their workmanship/documentation is excellent. If you want to be treated fairly and have the work performed correctly by experienced professionals - look no further - you have found a support team for your computer needs.

It went very well. Rodney was able to remote into my computer so that I didn't have to drive my laptop to their shop the next day. He installed software I hadn't thought of & was able to assist my decisions regarding anti-virus & malware software. We were done inside of 40 minutes! So relieved...I was frustrated with the factory settings & all the problems I had when the Windows upgrade & fix failed.

I am very pleased with the service. I know very little about computer tech and was even a little nervous about taking these laptops in for service because I did not want to feel inferior because of my lack of knowledge. Everyone at Midwest Protech was nice and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend them!

When I first called Midwest PROTECH, Rodney (one of the owners) answered the phone and listened to my sad story, asked a number of questions, and we arranged for my husband and I to meet him near our home and give him the PC to take a look. We were certain our data was gone and we would need a new computer. Rodney called a few days later (he had told us in advance it would be a few days), and told me what he had found, which were a number of problems. He told me in detail what he would do, what parts and labor it would entail, made some suggestions, told me what it would cost and answered all my questions. We didn't need a new PC - which was great - and the price for their services was very fair and reasonable. When the work was done, we met him again to get our PC back, took it home, hooked it up, and there it was - all our files, all our emails, all our data was back! Throughout the process Rodney was polite, understanding, helpful, CLEAR - which was great for this non-technical customer - and clearly knew what he was doing - skilled and competent. We received a follow-up call from Gary at Midwest a week or so later checking to make sure we were happy with everything (we are!) and having no problems (we aren't!). It's clear Midwest PROTECH is well-run and customer-service driven, and the staff is highly competent and knowledgeable. They have become our new and only go-to source for computer service and repair. We're blessed and grateful to find a company like this.

I dropped off my son's computer to have the hinge replaced and to have them check why it was running slow. They called me the next day with the amount of what it would cost. When it was ready they called and informed me that the hinge was less then they expected and the reason for the slowness was viruses and infections. They suggested virus software. I went with the one suggested which I could get through them cheaper than in the store or online (I checked it out online) and could also be used on two additional computers. They were very professional and kept me up to date as to what was going on with phone calls. They were honest about the hinge costing less. I highly recommend them as they are truly decent honest people that keep you updated as to what is going on with your computer and go out of their way to provide you with the best service.

Midwest PROTECH's service was excellent! They correctly diagnosed the problem, and quoted a price which they did not exceed, even though the repair took more time than they anticipated. The representatives were very professional, keeping me informed of their progress. The work was completed on schedule.

The service ws very good, they had the computer for about one week. I was informed of how it was going and what was to be done. The internal fans and motherboard were cleaned and it now works fine.

The whole experience was great. I was worried I had lost my files and that I would need a new computer (based upon what a large box store told me when I called them first). I a desperate attempt to avoid buying a new computer and losing all of my data I called Protech and they had me take the computer to them that day. Two day later I had my computer back and spent less than $200 for it to run great.

I have a five year old Dell laptop and the screen would not operate, but would work with an external monitor. Protech was not sure what was happening and they started with looking for loose connections. When the found no lose connections they then suggested an optimization procedure which found a defective hard drive. At each of these steps I was consulted as to whether I wanted them to proceed further. They were very understanding regarding my concerns with putting money into a five year old machine and provided their perspective without any pressure. I decided to replace the hard dive and when another problem arose they quickly fixed it and minimized my cost. My laptop now works better than it ever has and I feel that the repairs made were worth the money. I was impressed with the willingness to explain what was wrong with the computer and what repairs were needed. They gave me good information and I never felt any pressure to move ahead with any of the repairs. I consider this company very honest and reputable and will not look elsewhere when I have any computer problems.
