Description of Work: He did repair work on the plaster wall above my fireplace.

Description of Work: Ken spent the whole week working on plaster repairs in the cove ceiling and walls of the LR and DR, the ceiling of the coat closet, and the walls in the hall and 2 BRs. This was prep work of major problem areas in advance of the painters who were scheduled for the following two weeks. He also closed and repaired the wall where a mailslot had been located and closed the exterior hole and mounted the new mailbox for me. He was careful to cover floors and furniture and cleaned up each day. He didn't mind my watching him work or point out spots we had both missed in different light.

Description of Work: Ken gave a quick professional estimate and was very responsive. He knows plaster and loves his work. He was punctual (he brought his son to assist him with the job). They worked over a few days on fixing a crack and a slightly caved in ceiling that stretched the length of our living room, removed some water-damaged plaster from a few spots in the kitchen (ceiling and walls around windows) and re-did the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. The bedroom ceiling material kept bubbling up after being primed with a primer, and material kept flaking off onto the roller. We gave Ken a call back and he came back the next day to repair those bubbles; he says this happens occasionally. It is still not perfect, but looks reasonably good for an old home. |Overall, Ken cleaned up the work pretty well. There were some splatters on adjacent walls; we guess it is from the fact that the work done for us was on the ceiling. Also, some of the areas where new plaster was put in was not as well sanded, so the work is not perfect, but rather pretty good.

Description of Work: Ken put a new ceiling in a closet. He was on time, very conscientious, and cleaned up after the job. I was very satisfied and will use him again.

Description of Work: I highly recommend Ken. He came over the day of my phone call to check out a problem with my plaster. He didn't want to take my money - amazing. Instead, he persuaded me to fix the issue myself. Then, amazingly, he spent at least 15 minutes explaining how to fix my wall. Amazing. I know where to go if I do need plaster work!
