I contacted Ken and he came over and looked at the repairs and then emailed me an estimate within a day. We arranged a mutually agreeable date. He was punctual, polite and extremely knowledgeable. He completed the work in a day and was wonderful about the whole process. I will surely contact him again if I needed any additional plaster work.

I would highly recommend Hall Plastering! Ken did excellent work at repairing several sections of plaster which had been water damaged. He is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in his trade and it was reflected through the quality of workmanship.

I called him for an estimate to repair a large section of stucco on an exterior wall. He came out as scheduled, was friendly and courteous. He was honest and he said it was too large for him to handle. He then gave me the name on someone he said would do very good work.

The experience went very well. Ken was timely in responding to the quote as well as in scheduling the work. He showed up on time and performed the work in the time he had estimated. The quality of the work was also top-notch and the price was very reasonable.

Ken was able to start the work soon, and completed it in a few days. The chimney area looks much better now, and the plaster has held up through a number of rainstorms. Ken was very punctual and professional at all times throughout the work, and did good clean-up afterward. We were very satisfied with his work, and would hire him again.

He originally said he wouldn't be able to do it for a couple weeks but due to weather related issues gave us a call and we had him out and the work completed in less than 10 days from my initial call. He is very knowledgeable about plaster work and the work goes back several generations in his family. He even did a little extra last minute that we asked him to do after we had agreed on everything (it was an extra small fee but he was really good about it all). Would highly recommend him!

Ken was punctual and professional, thorough and friendly. He covered my hardwood floors, furnishings and windows with drop cloths and plastic to prevent them from being covered with plaster dust. The finished plaster was well done. He went above and beyond. I highly recommend Ken.

Ken was so great! I highly recommend him! The weather was snowy and he was still willing to come out and honor his appointment with me. He was quick to reply to my inquiry. He was prompt for the quote appointment and was prompt and followed thru on his commitment for the subsequent appointment. He was courteous and respectful of the condition of the area he was working in. He was very knowledgeable and took time to explain the problem, his solution and what he thought was the root cause of the issue that created the hole. Ken did quality work and I have had no issues. On top of all that, he noticed that the handle on the inside of my front door had broken off. I'd been kind of just living with it, not sure how to fix it and feeling overwhelmed by it. He gave me suggestions and told me how to fix it. He had to run to Ace to get a part so I offered him an extra $20 + parts to pick knobs up for me while he was at the Hardware store and install them for me. He totally did it and was glad to help. And super bonus, he was nice and sweet to my kittens and made sure to keep the door shut when he came and went:) Ken's a good guy and great at what he does. He's been doing this for a long time as a family business. I would totally call Ken Hall again for anything he does that I need.

Ken was completely professional and also very pleasant. He responded promptly, provided a timely estimate, scheduled the job accurately, arrived on time and worked steadily and consistently each day. He cleaned up before leaving at the end of the five days he worked. His work is excellent. He was also a very unobtrusive presence in the house; a very pleasant man to have working in your home.

I gave him a key to the basement. He came everyday like he was supposed to. Two of the three patches look really good and the third looks like it was patched. When I called him about it he told me that there was nothing more that he could do. I am not happy about it and I am not sure that I would use him again.

Ken did an excellent job. He was very responsive and finished the job quickly. He took down some loose plaster, put up metal mesh and replastered the area (about 8x4 feet). He sanded the edges so that it blends with the rest of the ceiling. He put up plastic sheeting to protect the rest of the house and cleaned up very well. I hope this doesn't happpen again but I would be sure to call him if it did.

Ken arrived on time and set to work right away. He removed all damaged materials and repairs were done very carefully. Super clean and very efficient worker. I would hire him again in a second. I only wish I had more plaster walls!

For our initial job, Ken Hall did an excellent job of repairing all of the requested cracks on the ceiling and walls. We were very impressed with his knowledge and experience with older homes. He even gave my husband plaster tips, and we were able to do some smaller jobs on our own. Two months later, when we needed emergency repair to our entryway Ken went above and beyond to help us out. The entryway actually looked better than before it was damaged. Both services were affordable and completed in a timely manner. Ken was very trustworthy and we felt comfortable leaving him to get the job done while we were at work. Please note, we found that it is best to contact him directly, rather than through Angie's List messages. Also, he can be difficult to get ahold of directly on the phone, but he always returns voice messages.

Ken Hall was here for a total of 9 work days doing extensive plaster repairs on walls and ceilings of the second floor of my home. He arrived promptly at 9 a.m. each day and departed at approximately 5 p.m. At the end of each work day he cleaned the area where he had been working before leaving. He was courteous, polite and professional throughout. He kept us informed of the progress of the project. We had removed every thing that we could from the 3 rooms and closets and he was careful to protect and take care of those items that were not easily removed. When the job was finished he did not leave any mess or debris behind, It is an inconvenience to have nearly the entire upstairs being worked on for nearly 2 weeks, but Ken Hall was respectful of that and made things as easy as possible. He works efficiently and the final outcome is excellent. I have used Ken Hall's services in past years and have always been pleased with the final outcome. I will use him in the future and will recommend him to others.

KEN IS RESPECTFUL, STRAIGHTFORWARD, POLITE AND FRIENDLY. THE JOBS TOOK A TOTAL OF 2 WEEKS WHICH HE PREDICTED. HE VACUUMED EVERY DAY; USED PLASTIC SHEETING TO CONTROL DUST; EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP.

Ken Hall recently repaired ceiling and wall cracks in five interior rooms of our house. At first I was hesitate to hire him as I thought the estimate was a little too high. But, after considering his reputation and evaluations on Angie's List, we went ahead and made arrangements for him to do the work. I am certainly glad we did. After about a month, he was able to work us into his schedule. He worked non-stop for three days chipping out old cracked plaster and replacing it with smooth textured stokes with his trowel. The walls and ceilings look great. I was impressed as he even asked if we wanted cracks in the walls and even one in another room to be repaired. They were not even in the estimate but he did them anyway. He covered floors and cabinets and furniture and cleaned up leaving nothing behind. It was great to get to know him and to see that he indeed does quality work. I am more than happy to recommend his work to any and all. He was worth every penny of his estimate.

A plaster wall in one of our bedrooms was cracking and the paint was peeling. Ken quoted us a fair price, showed up on time, did excellent work, and left no mess at the end. He was also very easy to work with. I would highly recommend him for any plaster work.

Ken arrived on time and began to cover our remaining furniture. He was efficient and very skilled. The job was finished within the set time limit. When Ken left, the place looked almost spotless. The patch looked very good and we were impressed that there was little left over dust from the plastering.

My house was built in the fifties and has plaster walls throughout. I had two different contractors come in to give estimates on the repairs. The first contracter didn't want to repair the plaster but instead said he would need to replace the areas with drywall. Ken who was the second contractor, came to do estimate and he never once mentioned replacing with drywall. He explained to me exactly how the damage occurred, said it was quite typical of what he normally sees and he would have no problem repairing the damage. I told him I was also going to replace the windows and he told me that he would rather I replace them before he did his work because he did not want the window installers to mess up his work. I had the windows replaced, called him after that and he scheduled me right away. He was very professional, a hard worker and did a very good job. He made sure not to make a mess and cleaned things up afterwards. I am so glad I went with him - he is a true craftsman with plaster and that is hard to find. I would recommend him to everyone that needs plaster repairs.

We chose another drywall firm due to separate referral. Our decision was based more on convenience and timing. We would consider Ken Hall for future work
