Ken did a fabulous job. He was on time, friendly but also professional. He responded quickly the times I called him. He did exactly what was explained in the estimate. We let it dry for two weeks per his recommendation. After the two weeks, the wall only needed minimal (and I mean very minimal) sanding. We then painted the wall and it also looks great. I would certainly recommend Ken Hall Plastering for this type of job.

His promptness in returning my calls, punctuality in his arrival, depth of his trade knowledge and quality of his work would give me no hesitation in recommending him to others.

Ken is a true craftsman, and does EXCELLENT plastering work. In today's day and age, it is highly uncommon to find a person with experience, and mastery of a complex trade such as plastering. Our house is over 100 years old, and had cracks in a closet, on the walls surrounding stairs to the third floor, in two bedrooms, and in two bathrooms. While we bought this house with the cracks 14 years ago, we decided to have them repaired and the rooms painted. What a difference!! Ken carefully prepared the rooms for work, and removed all material as required. He was thorough and detailed in his work, and took care to prevent plaster dust from moving throughout the house (although it still does make its way into other rooms). When problems arise, Ken has the experience to work through them, and accepts this as a professional challenge. The estimate was fair given all the work necessary to complete the job.

The ceiling work was done very well. It is not easy to see the repaired texture unless you are really looking for it. He did a great job blending it into the current texture. The bathroom wall was also done very well. He showed up when he said and cleaned up after himself. His work took longer into the second day than planned, but was not a big issue for me. My only slight issue is that he changed his quote price when showed up on the first day of work. He added on $50 to his quote price. I was ok with that since it was still the lowest quote, but I would prefer that type of thing not to happen.

This was something that I've wanted done for a long time and it looks great. Ken did tell me that my paint finish was rough and the repair work was smooth. I think in the living room once it's repainted it won't be noticeable but I'm not sure about the bedroom. I was worried about dust and debris from the repairs, but other than some debris left on my ceiling fan Ken cleaned up pretty well.

Ken Hall did an excellent job in repairing a major and many minor cracks in the walls of three rooms in my 1941 home. He returned my inquiry call promptly - the same day - and scheduled an estimate for the next day, on a Saturday for my convenience. Once I determined to hire him, he scheduled the actual work for the following week. He showed up promptly at the agreed-on time, was professional, explained everything clearly, and did the agreed-on work well. He cleaned up each day over the two-and-a-half day period, so I could still use the rooms in the evening. He covered up the few pieces of furniture I didn't move out of the living room to protect them, and covered the floors well. I felt comfortable with leaving him to work in my home alone. His estimate was higher than the other estimate I got, but I felt very comfortable with his approach to the repair and how he explained his working process, so I chose to hire him. I would hire him again with no qualms.

A great experience from beginning to end. Ken was very professional to work with, timely in his responses, neat and thorough. My husband was home when he was doing the work and was able to speak with him for a while. Ken is a really nice person who is very knowledgeable about what he does.

I am very happy with the results. Ken and his son were there for two and a half days. At the end of each day, they cleaned up well. They actually left the room (which was getting completely redone due to all of the water damage) cleaner than when they started. Ken knows his stuff for sure and both he and his son were pleasant to work with.

Ken provided an estimate to fix a water damaged portion of a ceiling (approx 5 ft by 4 ft area). He estimated $550 to take it down to the lathe and build back up with plaster to point that it would be ready to prime and paint. He would be doing the work himself. Sounds like this has been a family business for generations. He was on time and professional. I was confident he would have done a quality job, but I ended up going with a cheaper solution from another plaster that involved only removing the lime coat.

Ken was professional and knowledgable of his craft. He advised us on portions of the job that we were completing ourselves. He fit us in his schedule and was pleasant to work with.

Ken was very prompt on both for the estimate appointment and the scheduled work time. His attention to detail and the care he took in making sure the job site was cleaned up daily and the work completed on time were fantastic. We will definitely call Ken if and when we need any plaster or stucco work done.

Repair to living room ceiling/ hallway wall and repair of bathroom drywall. I have a flattened stucco that was damaged by water. I live in a 100 year old house which has had many small repairs in this stucco over the years. Ken did not match the stucco at all-- worst repair of all.

Completed work in 2 visits. Very timely, professional and quick. Quality of work was very good and I had other contractors comment positively about his completed work and how good it looked. Would definitely use him again and would highly recommend for a professional quality plastering work.

He did sections of the attic ceiling as well as the closet. He did an excellent job! He was very reasonably priced.

We had water damage on several walls from the June rains. Our walls are plaster in a 100 year old home. Ken took off the old plaster and replaced the damaged areas with new. The walls look great...seamless. He showed up every day and cleaned up that day's work. He also fixed a few ceiling cracks...again...flawless work. Amazingly he repaired 3 separate rooms, ceiling in the stairway and a portion in the kitchen in just three days. I'll definitely be hiring him again.

It went very well. His time estimate was right on. He cleaned up all the mess that goes with plastering. The walls were completely smooth when he was done! I would definitely use Ken Hall Plastering again. I am actually not sure of the date, it was sometime in 2008.

We own an older home with plaster walls and the ceiling in one of the rooms had cracked and needed repair. After reviewing several companies on Angie's List we selected Ken Hall because of the outstanding reviews his company has received in the past. Mr. Hall returned our phone call promptly and came to our house to give us an estimate for the ceiling repair and a stucco finish for our staircase to the upstairs and hallway. We received Mr. Hall's estimates via e-mail the same day and the price was right for the work to be performed. Within a week Mr. Hall gave us a start date and completed both jobs withing 3 1/2 days to our total satisfaction. It is important to point out that Mr. Hall prepared the work areas in such a way that the dust, which cannot be avoided, was minimal. He taped of all of the ajoining rooms with heavy plastic and tape. He also cleaned up the work areas completely after the work was performed. It was a joy to have Mr. Hall work in our house. Thank you for a job well done.
