Just Ask & Consider it Done - Ohio

I had an Angie’s List Big Deal. The lady was very nice but I had to cancel because of health reasons in my family. When they did come to clean, there were three women instead of two. One woman was very pregnant. I had a whole list of things for them to do. They still had much to do when she said that there time was up in 20 minutes. I said you still have another hour. She said no, since we sent you three people you only get two hours instead of three. I called the manager and was very upset because of the switch. She kept them there as agreed, but everyone was upset.

The workers arrived a few minutes early and were dedicated, hard-working, ethical, as well as polite and friendly. Everything was done well.

They brought 4 people and in an hour & a half, did a great job. I ended up hiring them again on a periodic basis.

The first time was great. We have a cleaning service every other week and we have had it for a long time. This company came out and did a great job, and it was probably the best we ever had. The people were great. The second time it was probably about as half as good as the first time so that is why I have not purchased it again. I would not say they did a terrible job and that's why I didn't give them a bad review. I think the first time they did an exceptional job and the second time was average. The first time they didn't make me pay a $30 fuel surcharge but the second time again. It may have been on the deal and I didn't pay attention to it because it wasn't on there the first time. The second purchase they were really busy because of the holiday. I recommended them to everybody I knew after the first time, but the second time I wasn't that impressed with it. I am willing to pay more for what they provide if they give excellent service, not just average which is what I told the owner. I think the price was great and if they offered that price all the time I would have them here every week. The only thing that was different is the first time was exceptional and the second time was just a good job. I would use them at the discounted rate, but I would never pay them the price they as at the non-Big Deal rate. Even for the exceptional service I would not pay them the price that they ask for. I think their regular rate is $460 once a month. I have a big house, but it's not that big.

The team was incredible. I explained what I would like to accomplish and the team leader immediately determined the division of labor. Everyone immediately went to work and all was accomplished within the time I had purchased. I was very happy with the work and the team.

I initially contacted them they scheduled then cancelled twice the second time only 2 days before my appointment and then said they couldn't reschedule until spring so I had to get a refund. It's been two weeks and still have not been refunded

They cleaned floors and bathrooms and baseboards. They did a great job.

Also I felt that I was being pressured to say I would sign up to have them continue to clean for us.

The house is always sparkling when they are done.

My credit card was charged the $99 but the company has not contacted me about service. I gave 3 possible cleaning dates when I purchased the service on October 16th. I heard nothing from the company. I called and left a message, still I have not heard from Just Ask and Consider It Done. It's been over a month since I purchased the service.

They did not follow-up as I would have expected.

Girls (3) arrived at 9am. Very fridnly and professiona. Quickly went to work. Cleaned thoroughly did exactly the things discussed. Good workers. Left at 10:30am. I will use them again!

Everything went fine. The girls did a very nice job. However - at a later date, I saw a special on Angie's list for Spring House Cleaning, and I ordered the service. They would not honor the deal as was previous customer. I was not too happy with that as their normal pricing is quite high.

Cleaning team was on time, worked efficiently.

They really didn’t clean the house that great. They also charged us a gas surcharge on top of the Big Deal. I would look at other companies before using them again. They were here for the 6 hours the Big Deal covered.

Purchased AL Big Deal for 4 man hours of house cleaning for $99.00. I have used this service in the past. When I finally got in touch with them to schedule my clean, was told by Whitney that the fine print states new customers only. While on the phone, I looked at the fine print and did not see that. Was told that the line reading "coupon cannot be applied to current or past jobs" really means new customers only. I explained that the way I understood that line was that I could not ask for a refund after I already paid for a clean, and I could not ask to use a coupon without scheduling as an AL BIg Deal. Whitney explained that when Just Ask has a Big Deal, they are required by Angie's List to word it that way, that they have to do what AL tells them, and the only thing she could do for me was let me apply the $99 to a full price clean. Um...NO thanks! I could not believe my ears. Immediately called AL and was told that I was correct, and that they would contact Just Ask and get back to me as soon as my issue was resolved. Never heard back from AL. Called AL customer service again and was told that Just Ask never returned THEIR phone calls. Really?? I'm hardly surprised. AL promptly refunded my money, but I am amazed that this company continues to advertise Big Deals with the exact same fine print, and even more surprised that Angie's List allows it.

It was great. It worked out very well. I maintained a relationship with them. They are very flexible, very professional and very responsive. Their price is fair. They priced me out for an amount that was understandable and fair.

The provider contacted me in a reasonable time to request contact information, then it was a couple of days until they used that. The person I spoke to was polite enough and tried to be helpful in scheduling, but said she was unable to book anything in the time frame I needed. This was especially frustrating because at the time I purchased the deal, there was a calendar where you could select your preferred dates of service, included dates much sooner.

Extremely frustrating. Company hard to contact, email messages and calls crossing each other. In other words me trying to contact them and getting messages back that they have been trying to reach me but got no response. Contacted Angie's List for help and finally got connected to Lisa who scheduled the appointment. THEN, the next week the crazy messages started again. "We have been trying to contact you" etc. Multiple people taking my calls and not conveying to the other or other person not checking and seeing appointment had been scheduled. In general, chaos in their operation and attitude of annoyance. I have no confidence anyone from this business will show up or be able to do the job. If the scheduling was not making me crazy and determined to cancel, the whole deal is misleading. It is a very small job and endless problems just scheduling. The deal says "Get your house 4 hours" with a long list of what the offer includes. It is not 4 hours but 4 "man hours" so sending 2 people will get you 2 hours of work. That is definitely not enough to do all they say is included in the offer and certainly not normally worth $300. I want nothing to do with these people or this company.

They did a really nice job. When we called they were real nice about setting it up and were very helpful.

Did not get as much done as expected.

The low mark for punctuality is because they were very late (1.5 hours). They were running late, they got lost, etc. But they offered me a free half hour, which I accepted gratefully. And we rescheduled for another time since I had to leave for an appointment by the time they arrived. All's well that ends well.

No problems,. they were good.

They were very good, they were prompt and they worked as a nice team together. I had the service done right before the deal expired which was about 6 weeks ago and I didn't spend any more than the cost of the deal. 3 girls came out and cleaned about 3 or 4 rooms. The bathrooms got a thorough cleaning and they were here for about 3 hours. I thougt they were great and if I can aford it I would try to have them back.

Overall, they did quality work and were nice and professional. I would maybe consider using them again for certain tasks, but there are house cleaning services closer to me that would probably be smarter for me to use. 3 comments: 1. I used a "deal" to have 6 hours of housecleaning and they sent 3 people for 2 hours. 2 of the 3 people showed up on time and started right away. The 3rd showed up about 15 minutes later and started. And, they all left about 10 minutes before the 2 hours were up. 2. A rule for the deal was that you had to live within 20 miles of the business or they would charge you a fee of $30 or so. I picked the company because I thought they were close. Turns out that I live a half mile or 1 mile outside of the limit (depending on which map system you use). I was charged the extra fee. It was irritating and now I'm very careful to check the fine print. It didn't turn out to be a deal after the added charge. 3. The services I chose were cleaning bathrooms and cleaning floors. Cleaning floors means only hardwood floors because I had to ask them to run the vacuum. I had assumed it meant all floors regardless of the type of floor.
