Help Plumbing Heating Cooling and Electric

The moment the technician - Lewis Carter - stepped in my door - he began a "scripted" conversation with me stating that based on the age of my air conditioner, I will be needed a new one. Subtle frustration grew with this technician as he could not find anything wrong with the air conditioner despite constant dialogue that I will need to replace it any day now. He reluctantly cleaned the outside of the unit and then produced an "estimate" of over $800+ in parts that he thought would prove to be necessary any day now. Again, he pressured me to replace my unit rather than invest the money in a 12 year old unit. 15 days later - my air conditioner started to perform poorly. It would not keep a cool temp and had to work much harder to achieve a comfortable temperature in the house. I then scheduled with another company to service the air conditioner and watched them as the took apart the back cover of the A/C unit outside. Within seconds they identified a major problem in that the coolant valves were missing their caps - creating a slow leak in refrigerant from my A/C unit. We looked on the ground for these caps and could not find them. After a quick evaluation - we fully understood the Lewis "the Crook" Carter took these caps after he "serviced" my unit to cause it to eventually malfunction. This was intentional and illegal. Refrigerant was replaced and caps with locks were replaced on my unit that in now working great. HELP Plumbing and Cooling is a dangerously, deceptive and dishonest business. NEVER choose this company and their employees for your service. A call to express my unhappiness to a HELP supervisor was never returned.

Again it was a simple repair. $30.00 in parts 1 hour and 15 minutes later (which includes trips back and forth to the truck) he was done. $1180.00 which includes a $89.00 service call. Grossly over priced. The office people never return my call to talk about the price. I talked to another plumber that said it would be in the $425.00 range.

It was no charge. It was part of the service contract. It doesn't cover all the cost, it depends on what it is. If its an covered service. I pay an monthly fee. I constantly use them.

They were very professional, informative. Explained everything to my husband what they were going to do and how they were going to do it so that he could understand.

They hire veterans to do the work. I thought it was going to be cheaper. They are coming tomorrow to do my furnace checkup. I find them to be very customer focused from the telephone call all the way to the individuals that come to your home. They are very professional, very thorough, and they explain everything in detail before they do anything. It's really top notch. I love how when you call their phone number they say "Welcome to Help. How can we make you smile?"

I went out to use the faucet and it was leaking a little bit so I called them and they sent out the guy the next day. They did not charge us anything. In fact when my husband went in to turn off the main valve for the water it was leaking so they fixed that for no charge.

They were marvelous. The technician new exactly what was wrong and fixed the problem very quickly.

Very well, except for the ridiculesly high cost.

It was $700 worth of work, I know that much. It was something like that. It was for 2 things; a pressure valve and I don’t know. I couldn’t begin to tell you what the heck it was. He was talking pretty much Greek to me. I didn’t know it, but I didn’t want it to break down in the middle of the summer so I went with them. I’ve used these guys for a long time. They’ve installed my new heating system and everything else, so I was comfortable with them being professional enough to not try to stick me on something that didn’t need to be done. I believe their prices were decent. I have a contract with them that they charge me monthly to come out and they give me a break on the price when they have to do something. Quality – They’re good. Help is everything, I mean electric, they do different services.

Very well. Andy and Corey were knowledgeable, friendly and very customer oriented.

They did the water heater for us, and that was what was so expensive. You can buy a water heater for $800, and ours was $1600 with them. We had no idea what an water heater cost when you are taking a cold shower. I would tell them the work was great, but the work is very expensive. The work took about two days to complete.

The move went extremely well. The crew was comprised of Paul, Rob, Johnny and Jodi. They were punctual, responsible, courteous, down-to-earth and quite good at their job. Two heavy, large and challenging pieces were handled effortlessly by the guys. I recommend the company highly!

They charged me $2,624.00 to install one electric Bradford White 50 gallon tank with a 10 year warranty in my condo and remove the old tank. No, it is not solid gold.

They do quite a few things. I'm on a program where I pay like 20 bucks a month and they will come out and check the air conditioner and heater yearly and give you a discount on whatever services they do perform.

It had been some years before I had my furnace serviced.

I have had a number of experiences with them over the years. They completely replaced my plumbing.

They come every six months. They give us a call in advance and set up a date.

We’ve got them on an annual contract to do the maintenance for the system. They come out in the Fall to check the heating system and then they come back in the Spring to do the air conditioning system. I would give them an “A” on pricing from what I know with the other companies that do the same service. They are reliable and they listen to what the issues are and try not to sell you something you don’t need. When you don’t know that much about heating and air conditioning, you don’t really know what you are getting into.

There was cost, it was an initial visit, it was not under a service contract. I think it was between $200 and $300.

It went very well. Tom Owens was very professional. He went right to his job and explain any issues he found. He took the time to explain what we did wrong when removing the thermostat to change the batteries.

Plumber was prompt, professional and cleaned up after himself.

This company strongly supports veterans and they even have a training program for those who do not think college is for them. They are ALWAYS on time, polite and professional. I originally had some words for them as they tried to upsell me on each visit. Since I spoke with about this, they took my feedback and no longer try to sell me on anything. They are great to work with! They always call ahead of time, let me know who is coming, and are always professional. I would highly recommend them!

Help advertises to "Thank a Veteran", but this company left this Veteran Family stranded. The day after my Husband left for a year long deployment my sump pump failed and a lot of water backed up into my finished basement. When I called HELP, they basically didn't care. They told me no one would be there for 5 days. So I'm supposed to let several inches of standing water in my basement for that long? I even explained my situation of my husband gone for a deployment and a child under 2years of age in the house. They don't care about anyone, including Veterans.

The fixtures were replaced and I no longer have any dripping leaks. I have several suggestions: 1. After repair remove sediment from shower fixture. Pressure was reduced to half of what it was before repair and I had to call a retired plumber friend to figure out that problem, which was easily fixed and should have been done with repair. 2. Calk did not completely seal top of both hot and cold fixtures. I bought calk and repaired myself. 3. More care in making openings bigger to use necessary tool for removing fixtures. Tile cracked. I will live with that for now. 4. Price $483.00!!!

Part of a subscription. I am on an monthly subscription, that entitles me for periodical inspections. Probably could be better in pricing, but they are so reliable, that I don't want to mess with anyone else. The check up took about an hour to complete. They are excellent. I like getting a report at the end of the inspection, an report on how things are, and what needs to be done. Try to sell me stuff, and recommend things. I can take it or leave it. I understand what they are doing.
