Help Plumbing Heating Cooling and Electric

I signed up for HELP's annual service. On their first visit to inspect and cleaning my HVAC, the servicer spent a little time, then walked outside and was magically joined by his district manager. They then proceeded to try to hard sell me $3500 in new equipment. I later had a friend who runs another company look at our system. He reported that the HELP guy did nothing! No cleaning, not servicing. It was all a scam to sell me equipment I did not need. I immediately cancelled their service and refused to pay a dime further.

This company charges an outrageous amount of money for repairs and doesn't provide enough forthcoming information (such as an itemized receipt). In my opinion this company is really good at taking advantage of the customer who needs help during stressful situations. My insurance company informed me that HELP is notorious for overcharging more money on a job because they know how to prey on people in need of help. That was evident when I asked for a detailed receipt of the quote for my plumbing repair, and they could not produce one for me. In my situation, I felt panicked and stressed to get my water hooked back up to my home after a water line break occurred, and they took advantage of my situation and charged me $4,000 more than what another plumber would have charged me. My insurance ended up only being able to cover a small amount of the cost for the repair because they “believed HELP charged an unnecessary amount of money and took advantage of my situation.” I’m extremely disappointed I didn’t take the time to get more repair quotes before approving this company to do the job. Find a different company with integrity and charges a reasonable amount for a repair.

The service was wonderful and excellent.

Unfortunately, for a company that is supposed to provide exceptional service, We are extremely disappointed. An 10x16 inch hole was cut in our bedroom wall to access the pipes for bathroom. Then they told us they don't do drywall and just left the hole. Who does that? They didn't even offer to place a panel for accessing pipes, just left the hole and the mess in the bedroom as well as the bathroom. We had " to join the club" to get a relatively reasonable price. However we will not be using or recommending this company again. Therese P.

It went well frankly. The young and police technician came in on time and cleaned the small box where water goes through. Recommended some sign-up monthly service, of course I declined. Last Week of October of 2020, i felt the heating was not quite right, not start at set-up temp and it ran too long. Called a service and technician found the small box where water goes is blocked. He carefully cleaned up and a lot of dirt out. I told him that Help just did tune up last year. He smiled and said it apparently Help did not do a good job. so no business with Help from now on.

Hello, My wife and I wanted to thank three guys, Mark Blankenship, Brian Waters, and Ace for coming to our home and doing such a wonderful job in getting our home cool again. Grate guys, very professional and a lot of fun talking with them. When I would have a question, they would explain everything in full detail. They spent a lot of time in our home to make sure everything was done and made sure we were happy with their service. We are so grateful to these guys. It took four visits to fix the leak. The virus shutdown made parts hard to get. The company eventually fixed the leak after the fourth trip. They did too many trips to finish the job.

I've set up 4 appointments with HELP. 2 for plumbing and 2 for AC work. They have cancelled 3 of these appointments because they tell me they had other customers who need them more than I do. DO NOT pay more for the service they offer where they come back to service your stuff. They don't show up when you do! And then they rub it in your face by advertising that they have appointments available in their TV advertisements. I am very frustrated with them. I only rate them a 2 instead of a 1 because the plumbing work they did do was good. When they showed up.

  We had help out when our compressor died in 2013. They advised us that replacing the whole system would be better in the long run. We knew it needed to be updated so we listened to them. we trusted their advice at the time Initially things were great but in the last year we've had nothing but trouble with them and also came to realize just how they screwed us originally. The system they installed for us was oversized for our house. Not only that they didn't tell us to or redo any of the ductwork so while we have this huge system it can't effectively cool the house. We've had other groups out and each says they should have redid the ductwork because it's all too small for the unit. This means the unit works harder. Then, recently, they botched a set of repairs and had to come out several times to do. It. THEN they didn't reconnect a hose and I got water in my hallway carpets, they were soaked The carpets were wet for 5-6 days before help came out. They admitted it was their mistake but didn't offer to fix the situation until I asked about it. Now they won't return my calls about it and when I call them I get a run around of the person I need to talk to is at lunch or they are in but I can't talk to them. I would give them a negative review if possible. DO NOT use Help. They seem friendly and nice and go on and on about training but when it comes to it they will oversell you, try to sell you stuff during maintenance visits, and then jerk you around when they mess up

They have been great every time they're here, I have no complaints at all, they've been good. We have just to reschedule the work due to the cold weather and the additional cost of the work.

Worst price quote I've ever had. A simple request to install faucet (I had already bought) along with minor parts like 2 new inlet valves and water feed tubes turned into a nightmare of 4 options they could do for me. They want to sell you the moon. I hear that they are on commission. Quotes ranged from low $500's to upper $700's. FOR A NEW FAUCET???? Said thanks but no thanks. I'll go with a different plumber. Got the job done by a second company for $170 (Rate was $100 per hour for less than 2 hours). Do Not Use H.E.L.P. if you don't have to.

Help charged my 82 year old mother almost $5000 to install a complete new shower, including all new supply and waste lines, installation of the base and surround. They did great plumbing work, but the installed the shower surround without adding in bracing for the shower doors to hang from. They clealry told me they dont install shower doors, but then they permanantly installed the shower surround that had to be removed to do the job right. They never told me in the contract that they required me to do any demo or framing. My 82 year old mother had to pay to have the shower surround removed so the the right shower door bracing could be added. She's happy with all of the work except that part and they refuse to even discuss a partial refund. They will never do work for her again. Shame on them for taking advantage of the elderly

Tech was professional and on time. Repair was done correctly. i am very satisfied with the servics.

They were excellent. They explained everything, step by step, and were very patient and courteous.

The work was completed promptly. However, I have been trying for weeks to get a more detailed receipt from Help but I keep getting the run around. I have called at least 6 or 7 times and get the same response every time; either the office manager is at lunch or away from her desk. The one time that I spoke to the office manager she said the VP of the company would have to sign off on sending me a more detailed receipt but he was on vacation. After calling twice the week that he returned from vacation I was finally emailed a copy of the same receipt I already had. I have a home warranty and the company has told me they would reimburse me but they need a more itemized receipt which Help is failing to provide (probably because they don't want their customers to see how much they are ripping them off). The first time I called Help to request this I was told they generally don't supply itemized receipts. Needless to say I will never be using Help again and will probably end up disputing this charge on my credit card since they can't provide the simple request of emailing me the request.

Signed up for their monthly $20 service plan for both our house and a rental property. The AC went out and they charged me $150 for a $30 part on 2 different parts. I found out their service techs are on a commission for the repairs. I asked for a break down of the bill between parts and labor and they would not do it. Will never call back.

I thought the service was fantastic. He was quick, clean, did a great job. I think they were fair given the market and it was more than I wanted to spend and they had this thing where you can sign up for an annual membership to save money and getting out of that membership was a pain.

It was fine. They were extremely neat. They did it within a day. They picked up after themselves.

They called and said they would be there in a half an hour, and they were.

It went very well. They had some challenges, but solved them all.

Good. I've had HELP since 2006 for all the services. Wouldn't have other company and the personal our the best.

Good, very courteous and professional. Explain everything that needed to be done.

The problem was that they would take the manufacturer's name plate off everything and put their own huge stickers on with their phone number. I find that very annoying. It took them about two days to finish. Initially there were some issues with their workmanship. But they corrected that. The first team they sent out left a lot to be desired. But we complained and they sent a better team which was much better. They were responsive. They're always trying to sell you something whenever they come out. That's just a given. I've kind of gotten use to it. What I mean is they always find something that needs to be repaired but I've gotten pretty savvy about it.
