The Sales Representative was a little annoying at first then he got better. He answered a lot of questions and was prompt with addt'l questions via e-mail. The installers were great. Very professional, courteous and cleaned up after themselves.

On time for appt. Brought needed information. Pleasant to deal with.

The windows are good. The installers did a good job. What I didn't like was their responsiveness and follow up after the work that did not meet my expectations. Their responsiveness to issues such as a bowed window was quite slow. It ended up taking (5) days for them to come out.

They were very professional. Very friendly.

They were going to install the glass sliding door the first day and all the windows the next. They called the first day and explained that with the weather (it was raining) they would like to change the order of installation. They asked if they could install the windows first, then the next day install the glass sliding door. I gave my OK on this and they came and started working on removing and replacing the windows. It took them about 4 hours to complete the installation. Sometime during these 4 hours, the salesman called to inquire about how the work was going. The next day, the same two installers were back. This was going to be a full day. They protected my wood floors and furniture. It seemed to me the installation went like clockwork. Eight hours later, I had a way to get to my deck from my living room. My only problem is no one called after the installion was complete to ask if I was satisfied with the work and product. I know 10,000 isn't alot of money to some people, but to me it is. I would have thought the company would want to know if I was happy with their product.

Any problems that we had had after completion we taken care of. They seemed to bend over backwards to make sure it was done right and I was happy with everything.

They arrived on time, completed the project in one day, cleaned up after themselves. We are extremely satisfied with the quality and workmanship of the product. The installers were very professional.

Our bow window had seen its better days and needed to be replaced. We chose Gilkey because they had replaced our other windows several years ago and did an excellent job. They came to our home to review our options and get the measurements. We also went to their showroom to look at the displays to see what we were choosing would look like. This was helpful as we made some changes after reviewing. After finalizing our order they sent another person to measure our window before starting fabrication. (Measure twice, cut once.) The window was completed and installed ahead of the original scheduled date. The installation went smooth and the finish looks great. Our house faces due west and the evening sun would really heat up the living room. We can already tell a difference with the triple pane, low-E windows as it is not as hot as it used to be.

Original Installation: Good. Replacement/ Repair of Original Work: Excellent. Follow-up for Additional Window Installation: Poor to Dreadful so far.

very badly. The time promised for installation was was missed by three months. When they did come, they could not complete the job because they did not have all the necessary materials. They left major messes in the house including caulk left on counters and debris in the rooms and the entry. Very poor cleanup. After a month I was made aware of a defect In the installation and it took over a month to get a response to my complaints. The Installation Manager told me that the installers are responsible for taking care of problems on their own time. When, 3 weeks later, I did not hear from them, he said he would schedule it for a repair. This is a terrible way to do business! Originally, I said I would recommend Gilkey for the quality of their product, their total disregard for the customer has changed my opinion. I would not use them or recommend them based on their terrible customer service. They pride themselves on their installers and their warranty and use them as sales plusses but I find Gilkey's lack of professionalism and customer service unacceptable.

They are great. They guaranteed my windows for five years. I could not have expected better service from them. Their price was competitive with everybody else. They gave me a new winder for no charge at all.

We called Scott the following day with a couple of questions which he answered quickly. We were satisfied with the Gilkey product and quality. Gilkey's bid was approximately $1200 cheaper than Renewal by Andersen. We ultimately selected Andersen based on the exterior appearence of the windows. We were impressed by both Scott Johnson professionalism and knowledge and the quality of the Gilkey product.

They were good. I would use them again in the future.

We have lived here for twenty seven years. When they built the patio they used the single plain glass. I used Gilkey windows to put in my new windows too. My son also used Gilkey windows to put on new single plain glass. I would definitely recommend them. It is a wonderful product.

They did a good job. I had been very satisfied with them. They did a good job on the door too. I would use their services again in the future.

Had guy come out for estimate on our windows. He was a nice guy, but smelled like he chain smoked in his car the whole drive over. His price was better than the other estimate that we got, but we weren't as impressed by the structure and support in the window framework itself. We have an older house and our windows are quite large and we wanted to make sure the frame would support the weight of the glass (and our window AC unit). We just didn't think it would hold well enough with just vinyl and plastic supports. Overall, estimate was about $7500 for 15 windows.

They did a lot of work. They had the best windows. Their product performed the same way that they had told me. I would recommend them to others. I would use them in the future.

It was a large job. They said it would take one day but it took 3. They did a good job on the standard replacement, in both the work and the cleanliness. There was a lot of miscommunication within the company about the work hired and what the workers were expecting. They were not at all prepared for the custom work. They did not have drywall (I ended up supplying them with that to aid their work). They did not use the same clean procedures for the custom work and there was a big mess of drywall dust and drywall mud dropped on wood floors that took a lot of work to clean. The new windows are very quiet. There is some trouble getting them aligned to lock them, but perhaps if I call the repair man he can do something about that.

Great experience. I stopped by the Gilkey showroom to look at their windows and the sales rep explained everything to me and I made an appointment for him to come out to my house. Nice guy--no pressure sales. He arrived as scheduled and we discussed the types of windows that would work in my sunroom. He was patient with me as I made my decision as I had LOTS of questions. (He was even going on vacation for a few days and gave me his personal cell # if I had questions--nice) After a couple of weeks, I finally decided what I wanted and ordered the windows. (I had met with 3 other companies before deciding to go with Gilkey). It took about 6 weeks for the windows to come in. I received a call and we set up an install date. The installation team was terrific. Nice guys who knew what they were doing. It took about a day and a half for the install. They cleaned up everything/took away the old screens/door. I couldn't be happier. It looks fantastic and now I can use my sunroom all year round. I went with Gilkey because of the high quality of windows and I thought the price was reasonable. I have other windows to replace and I plan to call Gilkey. I highly recommend them.

They replaced bedroom, kitchen, kid?s room, dining and the side room windows. They worked quality and the job done was a quality one, inclusive of the product used. They were expensive with regards to price. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

We have used them earlier for windows. They came out and showed us our options on hardware and the actual finish for the doors and so forth. They showed us a model of what the doors would look like. We could touch it to feel what it would be like. When the doors came, they called us and scheduled the installation. Once it was drizzling and they didn't come. That was kind of lame on their part. The roofers that we had here were planning to work around them, and they didn't show up. They did an excellent job otherwise with the installation and finishing. They put in new molding and made sure that everything was straight and tight. It was all done right the first time. They were really good.

They were prompt, courteous, competent, and willing to go the extra mile.

Our job began on July 31st. In the beginning all was going well until they noticed they forgot to order two half moon windows. This was overlooked after we waited two months for our order to be made and ready for install. During the installation we noticed the new front door had flaws and needed to be replaced as well as some of the new windows etc. The following week one of their service men came out to attend to some issues as well as take measurements for windows that needed to be replaced due to quality issues. Following our second visit with the company they came out approximately 3 weeks later to replace the half round windows, install new trim and the new door. During this time they forgot to order the half moon trim for the exterior and interior. And the door was still an issue and a new one needed to be ordered. By this time it is the beginning of September. Following their third visit we were still in need of exterior and interior trim for our half moon windows as well as a new front door. We still had windows to be replaced etc. The fourth time they came out after we were told for the second time that they now have everything for our order is 2 months later after the initial start of our job. Up until this point we had been understanding and Gilkey was doing a nice job in communicating with us, least management was, however, it seemed they were having communication problems on their end. Messages would not get relayed from the service/installation managers to their staff, pieces of our order would be forgotten and lost somewhere during production. We were and still are frustrated. The icing on the cake came when their service men showed up for the fourth time, one that we would recommend to them in the future to never have contact with customers. First they showed up earlier than told and got upset when we told them they needed to wait to begin work inside, however they were able to complete the outside work in the alotted time that we needed, second they proceeded to be impolite and use our private restroom with out asking, we would have kindly obliged and said yes, please use the one downstairs, however, they used our restroom upstairs in our private living area and proceeded to tell us our house was a construction zone. Third, one service man became very agressive with us. We were looking at the doors they brought out for the third time due to quality issues to make sure they had no flaws, no dirt in the paint, no scratches etc. before they hung them so we would not waste their time if they needed to go back. Well the installer did not like this and proceeded to tell us if they do not get hung today and they do not close our order they will put a lien on our house, the legal dept. would be calling us, their lawyers would be after us etc. This is their installer who told us he has been working for them for 22+ years, which makes us think this is not the first time he has made threats and bullied a customer in to taking a product they are not satisfied with. We proceeded to tell him he had no place telling us what would happen because it would not, and he proceeded to get upset, agressive and tell us it was not our place to tell him what he can and cannot say. However, the order had not been completed due to their forgetfulness and quality, are salesmen told us to with hold paying in full to make sure a red flag would go up in the system and that our order would get done asap. The service man proceeded to tell us who cares if it is not perfect, by this time next year it is going to scratched, dinged, etc. After the service man ruined Gilkey's impression for us we proceeded to call corporate and make a formal complaint in regards to this man threating us. When we called the receptionist proceeded to tell us everyone was at the company picnic, which was right outside and she could see them, that she could not get anyone from management to talk with us, however, management could call the service man and tell him to be quiet and not to go back in the house. They took our name and number and promised a call from Mr. Gilkey or his son that day to discuss the matter at hand. At this time we are still waiting to hear from them, no one has contacted us to issue an apology for their service men's threats. We have contacted our salesmen, service manager, and Vince Gilkey directly. All messages left unreturned. In the future we will not be recommending their company to any of our friends or family.

Rob arrived on time. Was courteous, professional and worked very quickly. He repaired the window and then the screens while at my house. I couldn't have had better service. He was in and out in 45 minutes. thank-you!
