Excellent! We spent a year talking to half a dozen window companies. We went with Gilkey because of their reputation and the quality of their product compared to others. While not the lowest price, Gilkey provided the highest quality product and excellent installation. Our sales rep, Bob, worked with us to get the best value for the look we wanted. Our installers, Mike and John, were fantastic. In less than two days our house was transformed. Our new wood-look vinyl windows are a near-perfect match with the old wood framing. Finally, a contactor job that went smooth. Thank you, Gilkey!!

This is the third time we have used Gilkey for replacement windows. We love their windows. The business is very professional and knowledgeable about all things regarding windows. They always stand behind their work in every way. We have had concerns and adjustments which were addressed immediately in such a helpful manner. Each time the need for windows comes up we start the research over again but always realize Gilkey is the best!

Brian from the sales department came out and gave a great demonstration on the windows. The order was placed and the crew installed several weeks later all on schedule and a great job. Looking forward to getting the other half of the windows done soon.

The process was very smooth and the doors look wonderful and have really eliminated drafts and noise from the outside.

Bottom line is that I will never use or recommend them again. This is due to multiple errors and a clear lack of management responsiveness. 1) Measurements were wrong for 9 windows, 2) I had to notify our sales rep of the error, 3) When correct windows were ready (response time for reproduction was good) the scheduler is confused saying my 3 windows are ready, 4) Calling to talk to management and my voice mail transferred to the wrong person, 4) When calling back left another voice mail for management to call me but they have the scheduler call, 5) Contacting my sales rep to say I am frustrated I get a call from the Sales Manager. When I tell him I wanted to talk to management the response is that "I can't tell my manager that he has to be more responsive." If that is the case then maybe there is a bigger problem with management. 6) Finally when management calls the conversation was weak, disjointed and they admitted that when an error occurs it seems like things just get worst. Really! Installation crew and Sales Rep were good but this does take away for my disappointment and frustration. For this frustration I received a 3% discount. Wow, thanks for the consideration. Businesses are judged on how they react when there are errors and in this case it was very poor.

We have been extremely satisfied. They were very competitive and you could go into their plant and watch how they made them. My husband just said they are casement windows. They're the full window. They took into consideration the style and window of our house whenever it was built. I wanted them to be in line with the time that it was built and they did that.

They did a great job. Big difference. The quality of them are very good and the insulation they can do it in a day. The workers are great.

Our windows were ready for install about 10 weeks after order which is what we were told up front. Install could not have gone better. Ralph & Jeff Meacham installed our 13 windows. They did an excellent job, made sure that we understood what was happening and even had us look at the first finished window to make sure we were pleased. Very professional, timely, kind, and trustworthy! Our windows are gorgeous with tan prairie grids on the exterior and white on the inside. Full screens means no more bugs and we love the safety latches that allow you to keep the windows open some. Very, very happy with our Gilkey Windows. Highly recommended! Excited for a warm toasty winter and no more faded furniture!

Fantastic! Perfect job, and they totally cleaned up. I love the windows, and I notice a difference in noise reduction, too. My husband is an architect and therefore very picky. He had no complaints, either. I would definitely recommend Gilkey.

Everything went well. Gilkey does not build wood windows, but contracts with Kolbe. .I also received quotes and product information from the two most well known wood window manufacturers, and one, while a superior technology, was more than double the price of Kolbe, the other was of comparable construction to Kolbe but reviews of installation were mixed. I was told up front that it would take 8 weeks for the Kolbe windows to be custom made to the dimensions of my existing windows and delivered to Gilkey. It took every bit of 8 weeks for delivery. Installation was exceptional. The installer found issues exterior brick and made repairs at no additional cost, rather than installing windows over problem areas. The Kolbe windows are absolutely beautiful and high quality. The off the shelf stain matched the stain on my window frames almost exactly. Very happy with my choice of Gilkey/Kolbe.

They were the most affordable to replace all the windows in my house.

It went well. They were on time, finished early, and did a great job with the cleanup.

I replaced the windows in my daughter's 1920's home. The window were original and drafty, plus had lead paint. Gilkey removed the material carefully and replaced the windows keeping the original design of the home. Nice, solid, beautiful windows.

They were terrific! They're local and the price fair.

I called three times and spoke only to a receptionist, who passed my request for an estimate to a sales rep. Despite two follow-up calls, the last of which I requested a different sales rep to call me back, no one returned my call. I can not understand why they would not follow up on a sales opportunity and I was frustrated by the receptionists unwillingness and inability to escalate or resolve the issue.

We asked the provider for a quote for replacement of a sliding glass patio door and changing an existing large window to a bay window with a seat. The salesperson came to the house, measured the windows, and gave his spiel on how their windows compare to other companies' windows. He was very professional and answered all of our questions. We also went to the Gilkey showroom to look at the product and the staff there was very professional and ready to answer our questions. We decided to go with another company because Gilkey's window locks are cheap-feeling and difficult to operate, the patio door lock sticks out from the door which is ugly and a safety hazard with small children walking by it, and they charge extra to finish the wood seat of the bay window. Ultimately, we want a high-quality product that we'll be happy with for a long time, and Gilkey's products seemed a bit cheap.

The experience was excellent. I would recommend them.

A team of 5 men came to do the install. First they placed each new window in the room where it was to be installed to make sure they had all the correct windows. They worked in tandem, 2 on the outside, 2 on the inside and they worked on one room at a time. The 5th man was a "runner" bring the installation parts to the workers. After each window was hung, the outside trim was custom cut for each individual window. Measure, cut, measure, cut over & over until the piece was exact for where it was being placed. A truckload of caulking was used but it does not look excessive. We had a few issues with some of the windows. We had one that kept getting stuck in the open position and the kitchen windows didn't open properly. Two men came out & worked on both windows. The kitchen window stayed fixed but the window that kept getting stuck on open continued to be a problem. The workers came back and adjusted it again. They did not seem happy to be here the second time but so far the window has not had any problems. Of course it was closed all winter. But I checked it recently & it worked OK. We expected to have a significant reduction in our heating bill but that didn't happen. Our old windows were rotting & very drafty so we are not sure why there was very little change in the bill, on average less than $20 a month.

They were great. They did a no haggle pricing. They gave us the best price right up front. They were pretty quick to get them installed. They cleaned up. We didn’t even notice they were here when they were done with the windows. We did have a slight mismeasurement of 2 of our windows so they came out pretty promptly to fix it and get new windows in.

Paulette & Kevin were very courteous and professional in their responses to my queries and did not hesitate to clarify their role in window replacement and offer their assistance if needed. Kevin promptly sent the promised email. I was very satisfied with my interaction with this company and their employees. I will not hesitate to call them back if I have need of their services. They were even kind enough to recommend a few repair companies.
