Shawn was our salesman. He was very nice and very thorough. He was good at designing the appropriate window configuration for our room. The man that came out to measure the windows did a great job. The windows fit very well in the space. Our installation crew did a good job. They were very professional and polite. The windows were installed without damaging anything in the room. We had 1 window that had a flaw in it. They replaced it quickly. Unfortunately, that window developed a crack after a couple of months. The company remade the window again and had it installed. This window seems to be fine. This company does a good job and stands behind their product.

Gilkey's price was a little out of my range but the salesperson I dealt with even provided the names of other companies in the area that may be able to help me with my project and even answered some building code questions I had. If I had the money I would have definitely gone with Gilkey, their customer service was superb.

Bob Cohen was the sales rep. He was prompt and friendly, but immediately went into the standard sales rep speech. We had to sit through a long explanation and demonstration of windows, construction of windows, materials, etc. as well as why Gilkey is better than other competitors. We decided not to use this company mainly because of the product. The windows did not look as good as wood windows.

OK. After a little misunderstanding about being alert for cats that might escape, work progressed with the level of quality and professionalism I've come to expect from Gilkey. Work required sawing and other mess-making maneuvers. Area was cleaned thoroughly after installation. My experience with all staff through this (office staff, sales person, measurer, two installers) has been good--always courteous, helpful, knowledgeable.

So far, I've been very pleased with the product. Installation crew was great overall; friendly, efficient, professional. Two SMALL negatives: 1) I had to clean up more nails than I felt should have been left behind, and 2) I asked a worker to leave me one of the old (original with the home) windows because it had a rather intricate lattice pattern. He promised to take an old window off the truck, but apparently forgot, and they were all destroyed. This REALLY irked me. Only other SMALL negative is salesman, Shawn. Seemed much more responsive to my calls and questions BEFORE he made the sell and got the deposit check. Still hasn't stopped by and replaced one of the screens, that had two small holes when installed, as he said he would three months ago.

Great service by salesperson Eric Cone. Installers were polite, professional and done in under 4 hours. Gilkey lifetime transferable warranty is great.

Service rep Shawn Stevens, timely, punctual. Straightforward about options for replacing existing window. Under-promised on timing and over-delivered on window, ie., window was ready ahead of schedule. Window installation was initial step of kitchen remodel. Rep told me when I should call him to check progress and was responsive when I called. Installation was timely and professional, cleanup appropriate. Alternative trim requested at installation was delivered as promised.

THIS COMPANY CAME OUT TO THE HOUSE AND DEMONSTRATED THE WINDOWS TO US BEFORE WE BOUGHT THEM. THE WORKMEN WERE COURTEOUS AND WORKED PROFESSIONALLY. THEY GOT RID OF THE OLD WINDOWS FOR US. I AM QUITE PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK.

THEY TOOK OUT ALL OF THE OLD WINDOWS AND HAULED THEM AWAY. THEY MAY BE A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER COMPANIES BUT THEY HAVE A HIGH QUALITY OF PRODUCT. THERE WAS ONE PROBLEM BUT THEY TOOK CARE OF THAT PROMPTLY. I WAS SATISFIED WITH THEM.

THE INSTALLMENT OF THE WINDOWS WENT VERY WELL AND THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND THEY KEPT ALL THEIR TOOLS UP OFF THE FLOOR. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR SALES PRESENTATION. THE PRICE OF THE WINDOWS WAS FAIR AND I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS.

GILKEY IS A VERY REPUTABLE COMPANY THAT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR MANY YEARS, AND WE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER COMPARING PRICES BECAUSE WE KNOW HOW GOOD OF A JOB THEY DO.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE WAY THE WINDOWS LOOKED. I HAVE USED THEM FOR LIKE FOUR YEARS. I TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THEM ALL THE TIME. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK THEY PROVIDED.

The sales person, Brian S, was excellent. No pressure. Made follow up calls and was very professional. Excellent product and gave a great demonstration of their product. Unfortunately, we found a similar window for less money and decided to go with them.

Brian Schamel is the finest salesman I've ever worked with. He is patient, informative, and best of all, honest. The installers arrived at the scheduled time and, even though it had snowed the night before, they left no evidence of dirt or mud in my home. There was some rotted wood around one of the windows which an installer pointed out. He also suggested a design for framing the window to make it more attractive. If there is such a thing as a perfect experience in dealing with a home-improvement company, this was it. Professionalism at all levels.

Gilkey was responsive and timely. The windows were put in well. I do have 2 complaints on the windows, they are double hung and can be cleaned from the inside. But, it takes a fairly strong person to pull the window out of its track and its heavy so its not easy to do. Also, they did not do a good job of installing the window sils woodwork or casing. It wasn't nailed into the wall properly and with a little pressure it bent down. Efficiency and low e glass are great tho.

We were really happy with using Gilkey for our windows. They weren't the cheapest, but they weren't also the most expensive either. We are really happy with our new windows.

Order was correct and product arrived in good shape. Workmen worked to correct a problem within the framework of the house that was causing leaking, which we appreciated. Work was done on the day scheduled and in the amount of time quoted. No mess what-so-ever. Windows look great. Quote was comparable to other vendors. We decided on Gilkey because of materials used.

I DEALT WITH RICK YOUNG WHEN I ORDERED MY WINDOWS, AND HE WAS FANTASTIC. HE WAS PATIENT AND PERSONABLE, AND THOROUGHLY ANSWERED MY MANY QUESTIONS. THE INSTALLER ALSO DID A GREAT JOB INSTALLING THE STORM WINDOWS, ALL BY HIMSELF, IN VERY COLD WEATHER.

THIS WAS A BIG JOB; WE HAVE DOUBLE FRONT DOORS WITH SIDELIGHT WINDOWS. THE SALESMAN WAS LOW PRESSURE, BUT KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE DOORS ARRIVED WHEN PROMISED, AND THE TECHNICIAN WAS COURTEOUS, EXTREMELY TIDY, AND KNEW HIS STUFF. EVERY SCRAP OF THE OLD DOOR FRAME & DOORS WAS REMOVED. I LOVE MY NEW DOORS!!

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH GILKEY WAS EXCELLENT. THEY OFFERED A FAIR PRICE WITH NO SALES PRESSURE. THEY ARRIVED EARLY TO DO THE JOB, AND FINISHED THE ENTIRE HOUSE IN ONE DAY. THE TEAM WAS EXCELLENT. WE LOVE OUR NEW WINDOWS. WE WOULD CHOOSE GILKEY FOR FUTURE WORK ON OUR HOUSE.

THE ACTUAL INSTALLERS WERE GOOD, POLITE, PROFESSIONAL-OUR PROBLEM WAS WITH OUR SALES REP, WHO WAS TERRIBLE. HE ACTUALLY LIED TO US. THEN, WHEN WE TRIED TO GET THINGS STRAIGHT, WE WENT UP THROUGH THE RANKS AND STILL DID NOT GET ADEQUATE SERVICE.

SALES REPRESENTATIVE WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. INSTALLERS WERE NEAT, POLITE AND DID A VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB. PRODUCT WAS HIGH QUALITY AND WELL MADE. WE DID EXPERIENCE A PROBLEM WITH A CHANGE ORDER THAT GOT MISSED AND THE SUBSEQUENT RE-WORK WAS DELAYED TWICE DUE TO APPARENT MIS-CUES IN THEIR SERVICE DEPT. THESE WERE EVENTUALLY RESOLVED TO OUR SATISFACTION, HOWEVER. IN FACT, THE COMPANY'S VP EVEN CALLED US TO APOLOGIZE.

FINALLY, A COMPANY I CAN GIVE A GOOD REPORT ON! YEAH!! I AM VERY, VERY HAPPY WITH THEM. THEY ARRIVED A LITTLE EARLY, GOT RIGHT TO WORK AND DIDN'T WASTE A MINUTE, VERY EFFICIENT. WHEN THEY ARRIVED THEY SAID ONE OF THE WINDOWS WASN'T READY YET SO THEY COULDN'T DO THAT ONE, BUT LATER THEIR SUPERVISOR SHOWED UP WITH THE WINDOW. THEY EVEN WORKED THROUGH LUNCH SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE A LOT LEFT TO DO. THEY WERE RESPECTFUL, POLITE AND HAD GOOD CAMARADERIE AMONG THEMSELVES (A SIGN OF HAPPY EMPLOYEES). THEY DID A GOOD JOB CLEANING UP. FROM THE SALES REP IN THE BEGINNING THROUGH THE INSTALLATION IT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. I LOVE THE WINDOWS (SO FAR SO GOOD) AND I FOUND THE PRICES COMPARABLE TO SEVERAL OTHER COMPANIES I HAD TALKED WITH FOR ESTIMATES. I WILL RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS!

THEY WERE EXCELLENT. A SALESMAN SHOWED UP FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND GAVE US A PRICE THAT WE SUBSEQUENTLY ACCEPTED. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE WORK WOULD BE DONE IN ABOUT A MONTH. LO AND BEHOLD, A MONTH WENT BY AND THE WORK WAS DONE. THE WORK WAS ACTUALLY DONE QUITE NICELY. THEY OFFERED WHAT I CONSIDERED TO BE A GOOD PRODUCT, THE PRICE WAS RIGHT, AND THEY DIDN'T LEAVE A BIG MESS.

BRIAN, THE FACTORY REPRESENTATIVE, TOOK A GOOD DEAL OF TIME EXPLAINING AND DEMONSTRATING THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GILKEY WINDOWS AND THOSE OF OTHER LOCAL INSTALLERS. I APPRECIATED THIS VERY MUCH. HE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS AND WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. THE INSTALLERS ARRIVED PROMPTLY ON THE SCHEDULED DATE. THEY DID A FINE JOB OF INSTALLING THE WINDOWS AS THEY ALL APPEAR TO BE SQUARE WITHIN THE WINDOW FRAME AND SEALED PROPERLY. HOWEVER, DURING THE INSTALLATION THEY GOUGED THE WALL IN MY KITCHEN BELOW ONE OF THE WINDOW SILLS. I WILL NEED TO PATCH AND REPAINT THIS DAMAGE MYSELF. THEY ALSO DAMAGED THREE OF THE FIVE ROSE BUSHES WHICH ARE AGAINST THE BACK FOUNDATION OF THE HOUSE. THEY COULD HAVE EASILY AVOIDED DAMAGING THE BUSHES AS THEY ARE NOT VERY LARGE AND HAVE ADEQUATE SPACE BETWEEN THEM. THE WINDOWS THEMSELVES SEEM TO BE VERY WELL CONSTRUCTED AND ARE A HANDSOME ADDITION TO MY HOME.
