They did a great job. They were very friendly. They seemed knowledgeable on how to fix the items.

They did not get to provide the work but had my item been worth more either as an heirloom, an antique, or one with great sentimental value, they would have gotten the opportunity.

The staff was real helpful and cheerful when I took it in. They acted like they were anxious to fix the chair. It was done very quickly. It was done within a week to 10 days. I was very pleased and would absolutely recommend them. The price was fair. They were very responsive. When I called them originally they asked me to send them a picture by phone so they were very helpful. I was surprised how soon it came back. They have a beautiful office space and it was very professional. I would absolutely use them again.

Based on my research and Angie’s List ratings, Furniture Medic of Cincinnati appears to be the wood repair and wood restoration experts in Cincinnati. Based on this, I decided to use Furniture Medic of Cincinnati to “refresh” all my bath and wet-bar cabinets. Furniture Medic lived up to my expectations and I was extremely pleased with the results.

The entire process from the initial call through to the retuyrn of the furniture was easy, prompt and efficient... as promised. The process began with a call and a couple pictures (scanned) of the damage, an estimate was presented (and accepted by me), the furniture was piced up and a month+ was delevered back in pristine condition.

Overall experience was great. I contacted Furniture Medic via email (based on good reviews on Angie's List), providing a picture of the chair. They responded the next business day with an estimate, how long it would take and an option to have the chair picked up and dropped off. The overall price was not super cheap ($325), but the Angie's List reviews were so positive I went ahead. The pick-up fee was rather expensive so I took the chair to their location myself - and picked it up afterwards. After dropping off the chair, I heard from the manager several times with questions about colors - she was responsive and we were able to quickly agree on choices. All of this was via email which I found very convenient. The chair was finished on time and on price. And it looks great! So good in fact, that we are now taking a very old desk to them for re-finishing.

Everything went well. They did a great job, worked quickly, and his prices were reasonable.

We had a great experience. The company provided a prompt quote for repair, which was accepted by our insurance company without further inquiry. We cannot tell a difference between the dresser's appearance before and after the water damage. We will use Furniture Medic again!

One of the pedestal legs was cracked in multiple locations and needed repair. Since they had to take the table into the shop for repairs, i decided to have them refinish the top surface of the table as well.The original quote was $300 for the leg repair. After several weeks in the shop, they informed me the leg could not be repaired. The original leg was not available, so both pedestal legs had to be replaced, increasing the price to $450. Once the legs were put in place and the refinish complete, they delivered my table. It didn't go well. The table top did not match the legs or the chairs - instead of a warm brown, it was a greenish color. Plus the leaf color didn't match the table. So back to the shop again for more refinishing. I gave the company a B. Overall i'm pretty happy with the work, the finish doesn't match exactly the original which was a matte finish. But it is ok. The pedestals they found are a good match in style, and compliment the table. However, the work too much too long and i was very disappointed when the table had to return to the shop for rework. Would I use them again? Maybe, it depends.

The gentleman who came out told us that cost of repairing the chair would be more than replacing it because whoever has done the job before has not done it appropriately. I thought he could have taken the money and done the job. He was honest. My girlfriend recommended him. They were very professional. I would consider using them in the future.

The work turned out really good. I think they did a really good job. It took a little longer than I expected, but I wasn’t in a hurry. Everyone I have showed it to have been impressed with it. I just had had my walls painted and they were very careful about getting the set in and out of the house and protecting the walls.

Excellent experience from the first phone call/estimate to first in-person contact to picking up the finished product. These guys just love their work and it shows. They are true self-described "wood geeks". What I was most impressed with, aside from the great job they did on the sanding/refinishing, was that the bed frame was not a HUGE job (not really THAT lucrative for them as they had other larger jobs in the process) and it is not a priceless antique but the care and skill they used with it was almost AS IF it was a priceless antique. It is a family piece I love and I wanted to honor it's history. I can't say enough good things about this company and the staff--from the receptionist to the guys working on the wood. We will recommend them and use them again should we need to.

It turned out good. We were a bit unsure about how we wanted it finished. They did a really good job about walking us through it. At one point they were unsure if the color was what we wanted, so they called us to come look at it before they applied the finishing coat. It ended up being exactly what we wanted.

He wasn't really sure that he could match the table, but he explained why. The guy was fantastic. He was really nice and prompt. Actually, he was very helpful with giving me tips on if I was going to do the job myself. He did a great job with the chair.

Furniture Medic did their best to provide an accurate estimate over the phone before we scheduled the appointment. They were punctual and professional. All of the work was quality and completed as efficiently as possible. They met all of our expectations and we will definitely hire them again in the future.

Brett Schunk picked up the table in mid-May from my home and delivered it in early July completely restored. He was very meticulous and professional. I initially sent him an email request for a price quote with a digital photo of the pieces for restoration. I had seen a write-up in the Cincinnati Enquirer many months previously about their work. In fact, it was an article that referenced "Angie's List" about their work that caused me to investigate them. I visited their website and saw an example of a very simliar table and buffet that was restored so, in fact, it was the article referencing their work quality from Angie's List that gave me the confidence to proceed with a 100 year old restoration.

They did a great job. I would go back to them.

Brett, the leader of the team who did the repair work for us was great to work with...very knowledgeable about period pieces, woods and craftsmanship. He was a wealth of information which he readily shared. He was also very conscientious about making sure we got good service when someone else at the company dropped the ball and missed a few details [an unfinished table leg arrived with the finished chairs and table top,] he took care of it himself on sight and even gave us a price adjustment [though we didn't ask for it]. He and his partner were very professional and did great work. We will call them again when we have a need for their type of service

The new owner called in response to my Angie's List report from July, 2007. Even though he was not there when the earlier owners lost part of our antique chair, he wanted to make things right. I was impressed with his attitude toward customer service and his willingness to make up for something that was not his fault.

Outstanding, knowledgeable and good pricing for superior refinishing services and knowledge. The more you send them, the greater their discount. Peter, Eric, Brent and the whole staff are stellar. Don't give away that possible valuable piece of old furniture, send it to these guys and get "like new" for a lot less than new and you still have better quality and a "piece of history". Can't rate them highly enough.

Both of the chairs look beautiful. The company did just what I asked - they didn't do more or less than I requested. They took a little extra time than their eight week turn around but called me when I was expecting to get the chairs back. They said they wanted to do things right, that they hadn't forgotten me, and that they were working on it. I said that was fine, I wanted them to do a great job. Two weeks later they called and said they were done. I needed to wait a few days as I was short on money at that time. They said that wasn't a problem, they would hang onto them until I was ready to pay. I now have my chairs back, they look great and are very sturdy. Great people to work with. I highly recommend the company.
