Pretty badly. The office receptionist was very courteous and my initial contact was with her. I explained there were some specific things that needed to be done before they started work on the desk. Five weeks went by and the office manager called me back to make sure everything was ok. I informed her that I still had not heard from anyone. Another week went by and still nobody called. Eventually they brought the desk back. There were some small wooden knobs on the desk that were split down the middle. They ended up bringing me some knobs that they had outsourced but it was up to me to install them. There was a locked cubbyhole on the desk (the key has been lost since 1971 so there were documents in there over 40 years old). When they returned the desk, the cubbyhole was empty. Nobody said anything about it and when I left them a voicemail complaining, I received an email back saying that I must be mistaken. There was also a solid oak shelf approximately 30" wide x 15" deep along the bottom portion of the desk that was gone. Update: I was hoping after I stained it, that the two different types of wood would be blended together. After I have stained it, it makes it all the more apparent that there are two different types of wood.

I've used this provider three times. First to re glue/repair dowels on my dining room chairs. ($160) This was done in house in 2004. I next used them to repair the claw foot dining room table which had separated top from base, not completely, but the top was wobbly. ($340) The glue had apparently dried out over the years. This repair/remake required removal from the home. They put in a reinforcement plus glue and guaranteed the same problem would not reoccur when moving the table. This was in 2010. The latest need for their services was when a crib headboard had been stored with some kind of plastic draped over it. When it was once again to be put to use, the finished was destroyed on a good part of the piece. This time they removed the piece from my daughter's home and refinished it to 'just like new' condition. ($325) The furniture they worked on is all made of quality wood so the repair cost was quite agreeable. Their service rep who came to my home each time was professional, and importantly said "yes, we can fix that". I would not hesitate to contact Furniture Medic again if I or anyone in m y family should need their services.

They did the job as expected. Their employees are very professional.

Tom & Steve are exceptional craftsmen with outstanding customer service skills. Repairs ranged from refinishing minor scratches to rebuilding damaged bed frames.

I called and said I needed a footboard fixed because it was loose. Sent techs out to determine if work could be done in house or in the shop. Two men came out took pictures and said it could be fixed in the home. I asked why they couldn't do the work then and they said they were not the ones to do the work they were only the inspectors. They left and I made appointment for following week, that was the first time anyone could come out ,waited all afternoon I finally called and I was told the techs got their assignments mixed up so they would not be coming. Another week till I could get another appointment, another tech came out and said he could not guarantee fixing the the bed and if I would want to try it he would have to take it in. Last tech left no payment given. I did lose a lot of my own time and my bed is still held up by stacked books.

I originally just wanted the wood and frame fixed but after I saw how great it looked I asked them about the upholstery. They walked me through the process of choosing the right fabric and reupholstered the cushion, even made extra buttons for me. The are very knowledgeable and while some may think they are a bit high in price, it is well worth the extra money. I have a couch I am considering reupholstering and will be using them for the job.

They did a beautiful job! The chair looks wonderful. I had picked out the fabric I wanted ahead of time based on the amount they recommended, and I wasn't 100% pleased because they overestimated the amount needed. I ended up spending more than I needed. However, they did a great job and I would recommend them.

They did a great job and did so quickly. For the high level of quality, their price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again and recommend them. I didn't have any issues at all with the pickup. The end result looks great!

It's been a mixed experience but I'm currently happy with them. The first experience we had with them was awful, which was prior to the company being sold. After the sale, however, they sought us out and did a fantastic job refinishing the table. A- overall. I know he gave us a very nice price break, too.

The door had some significant sun damage, and they did a great job restoring it! There were no issues with scheduling and they were really professional. They did the work at the house and they did a great job with the clean-up. I'd recommend them for sure!

They did a good job and I would use them again. We got multiple quotes and their pricing seemed reasonable. The table looks nice but the surface of the table is starting to crack a bit now. It took them quite a while to get the table back to us as well, but they were very professional to work with. I would still recommend them.

They were outstanding! The two gentlemen that came out took very good care of the table and it looks great! It took them about three months and I'd say the price was definitely worth it. I'd recommend them and definitely use them again. They were very professional and careful when handling it.

They did a great job fixing my chairs. It took them 2-3 weeks to do the work. They definitely let me know when it'd be done, and they called when the job was done. They also cleaned my chairs - my chairs definitely came back looking better than when I sent them in to be fixed.

GREAT! This shadow box was my mother's and dates back to pre-1960 (as far back as I can remember). My mother has been gone since the mid 1970's. My brother had it for years when it fell into disrepair. He then kept it in storage with the intention of restoring it. He took ill and gave it to me. Cincinnati Furniture Restoration replaced the mirror, made the minor scratches disappear, refinished the frame & shelves and reattached the shelves. I looks gorgeous. Shiny new, but with the integrity of the piece intact. I was able to show it to my brother before he passed away. It now hangs in his and my sister-in-law's home and holds treasured memories. Now we can pass it on to one of the grandchildren. Furniture Medic by Cincinnati Furniture Restoration new exactly what I wanted and took care to preserve the integrity of the item. I highly recommend them and would definately used them again....and have.

I initially hired Furniture Medic to refinish an old dresser to match the rest of a bedroom set. We used the color of the mirror to 'match' for the refinish. The color of the mirror was a bit darker than the rest of the furniture so dresser turned out way too dark. Even though it was too dark, the workmanship on the refinish was good. Customer service was nice and understanding about this issue. As the quote was to match the mirror, I paid to have the dresser redone a second time in a lighter color. I provided several dresser drawers from another dresser and they agreed that they could match this dresser and mirror. The second refinish on dresser is disappointing. I assumed that they would be able to match the finish color and finish appearance of the other drawers I provided. The refinish left a lot of the 'darker' color behind in the wood grain and gives the dresser a marblish look vs a smooth color finish. The color is good, but still doesn't really match the rest of the furniture. As this is the second refinish job I have paid for on this dresser, I am disappointed that I still don't have a finished piece that I am happy with. I contacted Furniture Medic last week to see what my additional options are on this piece. Still waiting to hear back from them. UPDATE: I heard back from them soon after the initial review was posted. They understood how I didn't like the finish and were willing to re-do the work free of charge. They picked up and delivered free of charge as well. As the most disappointing parts of the dresser were the drawer fronts and the top, they re-did the finish on these parts. I was told they hand sanded down these areas and did not use any chemicals as this may have been why the wood grain ended up so dark on the second go-around. I am happy to say that the refinished dresser looks good and matches well with the rest of the bedroom set now. While it did take a while to end up with a good finished product, I am happy that Furniture Medic stood behind their quality of work and were willing to re-do the dresser. They saw that this issue would require extra attention and stepped up to provide extra service to make sure the job got done right.

The work was first rate. They removed all of the door and drawers and took them to their shop to reface them. The rest of the cabinet they did on site. We were without our doors for about a week but it was worth it for the completed project.

My brother got information on this company while at the Garden Show at Cincinnati's Duke Energy Center a few weeks ago. A representative he spoke to suggested taking pictures of the chair he wanted re-upholstered and sending it to them via email for an estimate. He took pictures of the chair as instructed and sent it to them via email to get a 'ballpark' estimate of what it might cost to repair. They never bothered to reply to his email. The email was not 'rejected' or sent back by the server, so he knows they got it. Obviously, he didn't use this company and based upon their lack of professionalism to at least reply his email, he would not recommend them.

Due to overloading, the cabinets had pulled away from the wall and the backs had cracked or been pulled away from the body. I contacted Furniture Medic and sent them pictures of the damage. They provided an estimate and we arranged a time for them to come to the house. Furniture Medic removed the cabinets from the wall and took them to the shop to be repaired. After the repairs were made we set up a time for them to reinstall. Both the office staff and the crew were easy to deal with and the job came in at the estimated price.

We had a Mini Aussie who went through a scratching and gnawing phase. Two of our black bookcases were pretty well scratched up -approximately 18 inches from the floor and up. A two man team came out and worked hard for a couple hours. Bottom line it looks like new. I suppose if you go over the bookcases with a magnifying glass and flashlight you can find the blend line. But I'm very happy. They saved me from deciding wether to have them refinished, buy new for about what it would cost to refinish or spend a couple months worth of days off doing the job myself.

The big deal form Furniture Medic by Cinti Furniture Restoration worked out okay. They were pretty responsive coming out through the estimate but I since broke the chair again. I didn't use it for a while. The total bill was a lot higher than the big deal and it was down payment. We had several things repaired and refinished. They came out and got the furniture and bring it to their place to restore it. They took everything. I would say based on the cost the quality was okay. This is the first I have had furniture refinished and I thought the price was on the high side. The price would be 'B' but the service was pretty much 'A' with the lady who did the estimates and everything. I had a pretty good experience with them. I don't do this very often so I was a little shocked by the total but that was it. I think I will call them back to see if they can do the repeat on the chair.
