The guy that came out said he was not the regular repairman. He cut part of the break of the sofa and then took a picture of it. The office was supposed to call and give an estimate as he wanted the regular repairman to estimate what it would be to fix. They charged the fee just to take a picture. They sent the estimate by email and I did not hear from them. The estimate they gave ended up being a lot higher than another Furniture Medic and they were going to charge for the delivery and pickup when the other company was not going to do that. I was not happy with their response time and pricing at all. The other Furniture Medic did not charge for the estimate as well.

The service was pretty good. They did forget to do a couple of things that I asked.

They did a terrible job. They just lacquered everything. They waited until the very last moment after they held onto the furniture for months. They missed some spots and would not come out to fix the issue. They also charged me an exorbitant fee, which I refused to pay, so they took me to court. I JUST NOTICED THAT SOMEONE FROM FURNITURE MEDIC HAS REPLIED TO MY REVIEW OF THEIR WORK--GIVING THEM AN "F"-- CLAIMING THEY HAD REVIEWED COURT RECORDS AND THAT THEY WERE NOT THE COMPANY THAT HAD DONE THE BAD WORK FOR ME. AND YET, THE BUSINESS ADDRESS THEY PROVIDE ON ANGIE'S LIST IS THE SAME ONE AS THE PEOPLE I DID BUSINESS WITH: Customer Service 652 STATE AVE CINCINNATI OH 45204. Are they new owners? And, if they are, when did they acquire the business which I understand has several locations.

I contacted them for two different estimates and they were significantly higher than other estimates.

No services were performed.

Took table to their facility and was promptly given response that they could indeed repair the piece followed by a quote and delivery promise. They called me for pickup for the day promised and I paid the amount quoted and was extremely pleased with the repair (unnoticeable) and the refinishing (perfect match).

Researched furniture repair on the internet and came upon this company. Called and talked to them. They were very honest and knew furniture. When I called about a bentwood rocker, they said it was probably not worth the money to repair but when they saw the piece and evaluated the workmanship that had gone into the rocker they said maybe. They suggested looking at replacement pieces to judge the value of taking on the repair. I looked for a replacement but could find nothing in the style I wanted. They explained what they could do and expected outcome. When picking out the fabic, they were helpful (had hundreds of samples) suggesting types of fabrics that would hold up best. The work was done on time and the craftsmanship was excellent!

They look beautiful, with a satin finish on the wood, solid glueing of the wood pieces, and plump padding with a smooth look to the fabric covers. The work was done in a timely fashion. The pick and delivery fellows seemed delighted to talk about antiques and answer my questions.

Good. It is still working 7 years later.

I purchased a $75.00 coupon from Angie's list for $200 off for work by FurnitureMedic. I checked other reviews for past pricing, so was somewhat surprised by their phone estimate of $500. When I took the table into the shop for repair, I was again given the $500 estimate for repair. Adding the $75.00 coupon along with the final cost of an additional $316.00 (this includes tax) made my cost of repair $391. I think the cost was a bit much and am not sure the coupon benefitted me. However, the work is excellent and excellence comes with a price.

I brought the small antique table to their place on State Street in Cincinnati. They looked it over and gave me an estimate. I told them to go ahead and it was done in about 3 weeks.

It went very well. It took about two months to complete. It would not have taken so long had they not had to special order six brass leg caps. I was really pleased that they called me before they ordered the leg caps because they were an additional cost. My table is a cherry dining room table. They had to strip off all of the old finish and refinish and seal it. It is more beautiful now then when I received the table. No one believes that it is really an old table.

I saw an ad on Angies List for $200.00 value furniture repair for $75.00 and bought the coupon as I needed two wooden chairs repaired. I took the chairs into Furniture Medic and the work was completed at their shop within 10 days. When I picked up the chairs, they were in excelllent condition, cleaned and polished. My husband and I were very satisfied and pleased with their work. We will use them again.

Their estimate for the work to refinish these 5 pieces of furniture came in just over $4000.00. I understand that there is going to be cost for transporting the furniture to and from the location where the work is performed, but the total amount they were charging for both the refinishing and the transportation was outrageous! We contacted another company that was recommended from Angie's List for an estimate for the same work and they came in at just over $2000.00. Needless to say we went with the more reasonable company. They then sent me a bill for the cost of the estimate for $79.88! I believe that price to simply come out and look at the job was also outrageously steep.

I phoned the company and they asked me to email pictures of the piece to save a house call. I believe there is a charge for a visit, but it will be applied to the final bill. I was told specifically what to photograph. It took just a couple days for them to email me an estimate. My piece needed repair as well as restoration and refinishing so the cost was higher. I had a choice to transport the piece myself or pay a bit extra for them to do it. I chose to take the piece to them and have them deliver when it was finished. Their building on State St. is beautifully finished inside. That was worth the trip. It was also nice to meet the people who would work on my piece as well as the office staff who were so helpful all along. Delivery of the finished piece was perfect, and the delivery people were the very same men who worked on it. Nice people, and good work.

It was hard to find someone to repair. The woman who answered the phone suggested that we bring the piece into the shop to repair versus sending a repairman out. The reason was that I would be charged a fee and she wasn't sure it was something that they could fix on site anyway. So we drove the pieces to the shop and it took about 2 weeks to repair. They did a very nice job and they rushed it for the holidays so my son wouldn't have to continue sleeping on the floor. I would use them again.

I sent them an email using their web site, and I got no response. I then called and left a message requesting a quote, and again got no response. I guess they have more work than they need.

They were a little pricey, but they came out and did a good job!

The lady who always answered the phone was very helpful and honest. When she said six weeks she meant six weeks for the repair. The work was very well done.

It was a fine experience. They furniture did not turn out exactly like I wanted it to, but fine overall.
