Description of Work: I wound up not using the service that I purchased through the Angies List special pricing services. Time got away from me and I did not get the coupon cancelled before the deadline. When I called about having my dining room tabletop refinished, the woman who answered the phone said it would be very expensive and cost about $600 less the $200 through Angies List. This is a lot more than I thought it would costs. The woman I spoke to was very discouraging. I got the impression she did not want me to bother with me.

Description of Work: Repaired the backs of 2 dinig room chairs and cleaned them. They look great. Thank you.

Description of Work: We have 13 dining room chairs that needed the legs repaired and stabilized. He came looked at the chairs, gave us an estimate on the cost for the repairs, and took the worst 7 chairs back to his place to repair. When the repair was finished, he returned them to our home, and picked up the other 6 chairs for repair.

Description of Work: Have a recliner that the "cush" had evaporated. Since the chair cost over a thousand dollars, and was otherwise in excellent condition,I felt it was expediant to explore possibility of refurbishing the seat. I contacted "Furnitute Medic", explained my predicament and was told that they felt it was repairable. The price approximation was given @ $450.00. I made an appointment for them to pick up the chair two days later. The arrived at the scheduled time, examined the chair and decided that it had to be taken to their service center. I was given an estimated return date. The chair was fixed, and returned on the promised day. I can only say that I am completely satisfied with the services rendered. Further, I has failed to inform the office when I ordered the service that I was an Angies List customer. I told the fellows who picked up the chair and they in turn informed their office. That afternoon their office contacted me and informed me that they would be sending me the 5% discount via check. Six days later I recieved said check in the mail. Think that speaks volumes about their integrity. I would certainly use this cmpany again if the need arises.

Description of Work: The Furniture Medic staff were great. They were prompt in calling me, gave me complete information about prices to complete the work, and were prompt in arriving when stated. They put a new handle on a recently purchased antique china closet; I chose it from a catalogue online and they also offered to pick it for me if I needed that. They also took a handle that had broken off a buffet drawer, used resin to replace a lost part, and re-attached the handle. It looks extremely similar to the other handle and works well. They also gave me information about the approximate age and place my furniture was made, and put loose screws on some chairs at no cost. I will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: They were excellent in their response time and in giving me a quote. Eric came out and looked at the job. Eric knew that I wanted to attempt the job first (sand down, stain and refinish my kitchen cabinets and drawers) before i would give his company the go-ahead to bail me out. Eric was excellent. On time and with great ideas. He gave me a timely bid with a very good price to stain the outside of my cabinets and provide new cabinet fronts. I felt very confident that he would have done an excellent job and that he would have completed the job timely. However, I proceeded on my own and after five weeks and many, many long hours of sanding; I realized I did a decent job on my own. In retrospect, it would have been nice to have purchased the new fronts; but I had a "free" month and really wanted to attempt this on my own....especially since I had already purchased a very good sander.

Description of Work: They retained an old rocking chair and then cleaned it. It turned out fine. They did a nice job. But it was expensive.

Description of Work: I would give a report , but I never received a response from this company after several tries. The first time I called, I was told that i would be called back. Didn't happen. I called again and was told to email photos of the furniture to be refinished. I immediately sent the photos, but never recieved a call, so I called back and was told that a rep would get back with me. Didn't happen. I called one more time and never heard back. I know this company has an A rating on your list, but on the Yahoo site, there are several complaints of the same treatment. We are business owners and if we treated our customers with as much disregard as this company, we would be out of business!

Description of Work: We had a break in and they repaired wood damaged prying into desk.
