Floor Coverings International - Cincinnati

Katie came to my house a couple of times to discuss flooring options and returned for a final check when I selected the hardwood I wanted. The installation went very well. Was done on time as scheduled and finished nicely. The installers did a great job of cleaning up after themselves every day. The floor and trim look beautiful. Everyone was very punctual, polite, and professional. I will recommend them to anyone I know who is working on flooring.

We were moving back to Cincinnati and wanted to have carpet and flooring installed before the move. We called Katie Fitzgerald, and she was great in working with our realtor to get measurements and helping us to choose what we wanted. The installation of the carpeting went off without a hitch, and when the movers arrived the bedrooms were ready to go. There was a delay on the delivery of the kitchen flooring, and Katie's team handled it wonderfully. The installer, Russ, was great in working around the mess, and even came in over the weekend to make sure the work was completed before our appliances arrived. Everyone was polite, professional and we had no qualms having Katie or her folks in our home. Without a doubt we would use them again, and even recommended Floor Coverings Int'l to my parents, who are planning on using them for an upcoming project. I did have a friend who works in the interior design field look at Katie's estimate who found the price to be reasonable and fair for the work being completed. We were more concerned about quality and professionalism than outright price. We are glad we did, because they did great work.

Jim and Katie were very professional and came out with samples. We set up an appointment time and Jim came out to do the install.William and Mike (the technicians) were perfect! They were gentlemen, polite, professional. Russ did the vinyl work and it went very well. He was very detail orientated. Jim gave us a follow up call after the work was complete. I would definitely use them in the future!

Wow! To put it simply, Katie and Jim are incredible! I can't say enough about them and how they busted tail to get our job done. They did our job, so timely, I've told several people about them. Not only will I use them for our upstairs project later this year, but I will refer my friends and family to them. I'm a fan... A big fan! They will go above and beyond, and the installers were great as well, very professional, kind, and thorough. As mentioned above, they got the job done within a week! In time to celebrate a birthday party for my daughter. Lots of compliments on the job too.

This was a particularly difficult job because of the age and condition of the old flooring in the bathroom. I was very pleased with the way they handled this particular challenge. I would highly recommend them!

All in all they did a great job. They are not the cheapest place to go to, but I would use them again.

On the plus side, Floor Coverings definitely seems to know its business and has some very nice products. The salesperson, Katie, clued us in to the fact that we had asbestos tile underneath the existing vinyl, she showed up on time, measured our room, and gave us some recommendations. All of that was much appreciated. However, the overall professionalism and the price sort of drove us away. While Katie was very polite, she was not very friendly ? frankly, she seemed like she didn't want to be there. No idea why. And the prices were, in our opinion of course, kind of outrageous. The cheapest quote for sheet vinyl and baseboards in our 96-square-foot laundry room was $1,900. Wow. We also were surprised to find we were quoted hundreds of dollars (about $100 each) to move the appliances (washer, dryer, water softener, etc.) out of the room and into the adjacent garage. We certainly understood there would be some extra cost for the extra labor to move the appliances and understood we could move them ourselves to save money, but it seemed egregious to charge us hundreds of dollars to move a few appliances about 20-30 feet. Moreover, the quote did not include the cost to move the water heater out of the room, which Katie explained would require a plumber. We ultimately decided to look into doing the flooring on our own, given the small size of the room. With a little bit of research, we found a plumber will not be necessary to move the water heater (as it just requires draining and unhooking) and, by doing it ourselves, we will save more than $1,000.00. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Floor Coverings. I am sure others have had a great experience, and I hope that is the norm. But, for us, this was not a good fit.

It was just fine. The installer was terrific and they were very competitively priced. They got the job done in about a day and a half. The cleanup was terrific. They worked hard to meet our scheduling and made it.

Complete information was provided throughout the process. Options were described in detail with pricing. Installer arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner. No complaints since the installation. Quality of the carpet is excellent and no problems with the installation have surfaced.

We had a timely installation of our carpet and the installers were excellent. They did the first two areas the first day and when they found a wet carpet on the second day they needed to withdraw. FCI put us in contact with a restoration company who were out the very same day to access the problem (which was a crack in the foundation), pull off the plasterboard and put in fans and de-humidifiers. It took us about 10 days to complete the repairs to the wall and as it turned out a leak in our roof. During this time FCI was in contact with us and arranged for the same installer to come back and put in the last of the carpeting. We are very pleased with the carpeting and, even though we had some problems, we are very thankful that we chose FCI and that they gave us such commendable service. We are having our Kitchen floor installed today and once again FCI has provided us with an excellent installer. Unfortunately we only have one installer so this job will take more than one day. That is inconvenient but we are confident that it will be done right so will live with it. Overall we are extremely pleased with our choice of FCI and so thankful that we used Angie's List to find them.

The design associate, Katie, with Floor Coverings International, came to the house, measured the entire house for carpet, gave me a bunch of samples to look at, and gave me her professional opinion on the types of carpets that would last the longest and gave me options on pricing and which carpet would give me the best bang for my buck. I made the selection of carpet, scheduled the appointment for the day I wanted them to come out. They installer called me 20 minutes ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He installed all the carpet, vacuumed, cleaned up really nice after himself, and also there was enough carpet left over that he installed carpet on the stairwell at no extra charge. The thing I like the most about Floor Coverings International is that the gave me options, the installer was punctual and communicative and did great work and cleaned up well.

The initial meeting with the representative went very well; she showed us all of our options, and when we decided on what we might like, she gave us complete details of what the costs would be. She even showed us how those costs compared with other flooring material options. Installation went flawlessly. The installers were competent in their work, and they were pleasant to have in our home. We could not have asked for a more satisfactory experience. Perhaps equally important with the process of choosing and having the flooring installed is the enjoyment we have each day in our new room. We are delighted and look forward to working with this company again in the future.

It was very well done. The floor surface looks even and bright. They managed to finish the task earlier than scheduled, just as we asked. The price was a little bit too high, though.

I am extremely happy with the work that was done in my home. From the initial contact to completion of the work everything was top notch. Meghan way extremely helpful in helping me to narrow down my selections. Russ did an excellent job on the installation: very high quality work, the work area was kept very clean. I would definitely use this company again and have already recommended them to friends and neighbors.

All went very well. Megan Corcoran spent 3 hours with us to help us decide what we wanted and how it would look after installation. Katie Fitzerald (President) when we first met her she talked to us and understood that we wanted something nice and hopefully within our price range. The installers were friendly, professional, detailed in their work, and made sure we were pleased with the work. I am telling everyone that I know needs carpet about this wonderful company.

Everything went quite well. The actual installer was extremely friendly and communicative. He asked what we wanted to make sure we were all on the same page, so to speak. He pointed out how certain parts could be done and asked if that was okay. In short, he did his best to make sure that there were no surprises. He did a very professional installation and was even kind enough to take away some extra carpet that had been taken up from elsewhere in our home.

We originally found Floor Coverings International on Angie's List. We worked with Megan who was very professional and responsive. She was a joy to work with. They were very transparent on the pros and cons and costs of different alternatives, and worked very hard to find exactly the right product for us. We were doing a complete remodel of a condo, and they provided numerous floor samples for us to test. After we picked our product, Megan called and suggested we change based on some additional information she learned about the product. While the change obviously affected our installation date, it was absolutely the right decision, and they got us into the schedule as soon as possible. The floor installation contractor they used was also very professional - the best I've ever worked with. These guys are all about customer satisfaction. Their products offer many options and price ranges, so I would recommend Floor Coverings International to anyone regardless of the type of project they have.

Katie and her team were marvelous! She assisted me with my flooring needs from start to finish. I did not really know what I wanted; wood floors, tile carpet etc. They came in to my home took measurements and then showed me on the computer how each option would look in my home. After lots of back and forth I decided on carpet. I went to her show room to look at the samples, and touch and feel them. With so many to choose from it was hard to narrow it down. Again she helped by inputting each carpet type I liked into my measurements on her computer, allowing her to tell me instantly the price and availability of each selection, also ensuring I would stay within my budget. After more deliberation I decided. We set a date for installation, her crew was on time, finished in one day and cleaned up after themselves. The carpet looks great! Thanks again Katie.

I was very pleased with the lady who was here. She's very thorough, and very prompt. Her estimate is very clear. Everything's transparent. We know the plans, and what the cost will be. We have not decided yet if we're going to go with her or with somebody else who is a little bit cheaper.

Katie was recommended to me by a carpet installer I contacted. She came out quickly after I called and gave me suggestions that I hadn't previously considered. She knew we were on a tight timeline and worked quickly with us to provide estimates and choose the most readily available materials within our desired price range. We did have a blip when the installer informed me that things would not be able to installed as Katie had written up, but she quickly remedied this on her dollar after I contacted her. We plan to use finish the rest of the basement in the future with new linoleum flooring and we plan to use Katie again.

They did a great job for us! When we had a problem with one of our board, they came back and fix that immediately and we had no problems since then. Their price is very competitive.
