Floor Coverings International- Cincinnati East performed another outstanding job for us. We were doing a repair remodeling which required removal and replacement of carpeting. Katie Fitzgerald came to our house within 24 hours to access the project. She understood what we needed. Then made all the measurements, gave suggestions and recommended appropriate carpeting. Her crew then removed the carpet and returned on scheduled days to install the new carpet. They are prompt, reliable, professional and did a great job.

Katie at Floor Coverings International - Cincinnati is very well organized and detail-oriented. She ensured her crew started right on time on the planned date. Vern, the lead installer, was the consummate professional and our carpeting looks great!

While it took a little while to get scheduled (due to how many jobs they had), once we made the arrangements, the professional who showed up was prompt, polite, and did very high quality work. I would hire them again for future needs.

Extremely well, all furniture put back in place, cleaned up after work was done. Vern is the Best! Carpet is beautiful. Job was scheduled quickly.

Showed up on time each day. Color matching of stain and polyurethane was as close to perfect as can be. Very pleased.

The owner of the company personally came to our home to take measurements and show us samples. The installers were friendly, on time and finished a day early. When the job was finished, the owner returned to our home to review the installers’ work. We love our new luxury vinyl floors!!!

We are extremely happy with our engineered oak floor . The salesperson was very knowledgeable & brought samples to our house. My husband always finds fault with some part of a home improvement project, but not this time. Our installers were friendly, professional, and very hard working. The project was finished on time. We had some very heavy pieces of furniture to move with this project. The price was also lower than another quote we received.

I tried to reach out to FCI three times regarding my hardwoods requiring repair. I left two messages with the receptionist and a voicemail on Katie’s direct line reiterating the scope of work and requesting a call back at her earliest convenience. This was over the course of three days and more than a week later I have still heard nothing. I take it they are not taking new clients right now but I would definitely expect more courtesy and professionalism. I will take my business elsewhere but would have loved to support a local, woman-owned business!

In January 2019 we had our entire house re-carpeted using Floor Coverings International, Katie Fitzgerald was our representative. This includes 4 bedrooms, living room/dining room, family room, finished basement, 2 sets of stairs. We are extremely happy with our choice to go with Floor Coverings International. We spent significant effort shopping for our carpet, including the typical stores and another home-based organization. Katie was very professional and knowledgeable. She brought samples to our home and gave us great guidance in selecting our carpet. At first I was concerned about someone bringing samples to us (potentially limiting what we had to choose from). But she had more than enough samples to satisfy us and help us find the perfect products. We were extremely pleased with the installation crew which is such a critical part of a carpeting project. They were very respectful of our home and they did a great job. Last but not least, we are incredibly pleased with our carpet. It looks and feels beautiful.

Floor Coverings International did a fantastic job from start to finish! Katie Fitzgerald came to my home with samples and after discussing my needs, gave me some wonderful choices that were perfect! The price was great too! The installers were friendly, they worked fast, and had a great crew for the job. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend them!

We were extremely pleased with Alexandra Gregory, our design consultant. She was knowledgeable & professional. She came prepared, she listened to what we were interested in and brought in the samples that best fit our interests. We were provided a quote before she left. We were impressed with how she used modern technology to obtain measurements and showed us the layout of the flooring in our home.

Very well. A problem with the subfloor was handled by a subcontractor they have worked with so that the hardwood flooring could be completed successfully. Everyone did a great job. I'm completely satisfied.

It was a very smooth process. We set up an appointment with Katie, she came out to our home with lots of samples. We loved what she showed us and made our decision right then. The installers did great work and worked hard to complete the job on time. I would recommend Floor Coverings International to anyone. For me, it was easier to have someone come to our home and shop versus us going from store to store. Plus, it's nice to see the color you think you like in the lighting of your home!

Installation was beautiful. The owner is very professional. I just thought the price was high

by far a wonderful experience. my wife and i looked high and low for options that might fit the open floor plan we have. it was by far easier to have the showroom drive over and select on site. there was tons to choose from and genuine concern that what was selected would be right. samples were left to choose from, discussions were solution based and final decisions were made more timely & much easier with this in home approach. Interior area calculations were exact and thus the price allowed us to opt for for better quality selected. The question we asked that sold my wife and i on using this company was, "would we work for them", Yes we would... it turned out great, the staff they have are very dependable, qualified, honest, and trustworthy, and a very fortunate to be part of a good experience for us as well as themselves.

I decided to work with Katie because of the involvement offered with each step of the process, from advising regarding preferable materials for the various areas, to selecting specific tiles, to availability for questions and discussion all through the installation process. She is very open to your creative ideas for flooring, tile and carpet, and gives you a number of options of suppliers for the materials. There were some delays due to inevitable human events - illness, severe weather, and personal life events - but the flooring results were excellent. Because of the various life events, there was quite a bit of rescheduling of arrival times and working days, and that was the only reason why I marked the punctuality as 'good.' There was, however, always communication about these changes; there were not any 'no shows' or anything of that sort. My experience with the company's personal attention to detail and their customers began with Katie coming to my home to discuss my flooring plans. She showed me samples of various possibilities for floor tiles and carpets. We discussed my concept for not only this project, but future flooring projects I am planning as part of renovations on my entire home. When some of her initial samples didn't really suit my taste, she suggested that we meet at the showroom of a local flooring company she likes working with to review other options; she suggested a porcelain tile for the lower level living areas because of its durability and quality, and we found a lovely mosaic tile with which to mix the solid-colored tile and design a decorative pattern on the floor. At the time of installation, the floor was properly prepared with waterproofing and anti-fracture membrane before laying the porcelain tile.The intricacies of laying out this pattern also accounted for some of the additional time required to install the porcelain. The installers appeared to be very careful with the preparation. They ran into some questions along the way regarding handling cutting of the tile to maintain symmetry in the pattern on the floor; rather than just doing 'whatever,' & hurrying through, they called Katie, and me, to discuss what my preference would be. Tim, the installer, laid out a sample of his idea for correcting this problem, and sent me a photo, so that I could see, before proceeding. This was characteristic of how they handled problems that they ran into. There was even one row of tile where I felt that the results were not leveled properly - where the mosaic did not meet the solid tile sufficiently smoothly; they pulled that section up and redid the flooring there. So, Katie and her crew do stand by their promise of quality, and take their warranties seriously. They also respected my wishes for protecting my home during the process - to cover new windows and doors with plastic sheeting while working -and were very respectful of my home generally. Similarly, some questions came up during the vinyl installation, regarding working around a laundry utility tub, and that was resolved to my satisfaction. Katie had thought initially that it should be moved, but I didn't think that was necessary, and it was effectively tiled around. I was also concerned that much care be taken in the furnace room because of all the sensitive equipment there, and I feel that my concerns were heeded in that area as well, with careful and attractive installation resulting. There are some finishing touches in the form of shoe moulding to be completed. Part of the reason that is not finished yet is because of the carefulness noted. The color ordered for one of the rooms turned out to not be a good match, so they are going to purchase some unfinished moulding instead and stain it to match the wood paneling on the walls in my lower level area. Tim could have simply installed that moulding to get things over with, and gone about his business, but called Katie and me to say that the color didn't look right, so that we could find another choice for this finishing work. My 'basement' is really a lower level room/area in the home, not a shut-off basement area, so I wanted flooring that would be both durable and attractive, making this an inviting area to be in my home. I feel that Katie and her installation crew achieved that goal for me. I was grateful for the assistance with flooring selection since there are so many materials and options out there; even though I am a good researcher and feel I have good taste, it can be a little overwhelming trying to sort through all of the options in an area like this where there are so many materials, styles, and choices. Perhaps one pays a little more for a boutique approach to flooring, but for me it was worthwhile. I have additional work that I have contracted with Katie for a kitchen floor, and also have plans to work with her on carpeting in the upper floors.

After performing my due diligence and deciding to call at least 3 floor professionals. Only 2 responded?....so I called a few more and all told, only 2 (out of 5) ever got back with me!) I was pleasantly surprised when Katie responded almost immediately. She was most accommodating to my work schedule and took the time to make it 'easy' for me. Needless to say, we met soon after at my new home. She gave great advice, after asking me some key questions and evaluating the old floor and discussing my options. She gave me a digital overview on Floor Coverings International, which was short, but concise. We then looked at actual samples she had with her and I focused in on the Armstrong Alterna series. After taking precise measurements, she submitted a proposal. We discussed the details and after some minor negotiation, we shook on it. I might add, that this proposal was all inclusive. Prior to actual installation, Katie and Jim personally delivered the new tiles, grout and accessories to complete the install. They had to trudge through a muddy mess, as I was having my driveway redone as well. Tim did the actual install and I literally left him alone in my home, while i went to work. My initial contact with him was positive and I felt safe and trusted him. It actually took him 1-1/2 days, but the end result was WOW!!!!!!! He totally cleaned up after himself and the quality work showed that he took a lot of pride in his work. Then, if all of this wasn't enough, Ally and Katie came out to do a final inspection and ensure I was totally pleased with the work done. There was a slight grout spot that didn't look right to her, so she got down on her hands and knees and fixed it. I should tell you that I can be cynical at times and that I expect nothing but honesty, promptness and top quality. All in all, I would most heartily recommend Floor Coverings International. Katie, Jim, Tim and Ally were/are the utmost professionals and sincerely had and have, my best interest in mind at all times. I can assure you that you will be pleased with the process from the first phone call to the last visit. Thank goodness there are still artisans left, that you can count on. They were the highest priced quote that I received for installing 630 square feet of new hardwood floor and refinishing 150-200 square feet of existing hardwood. I did not go with them based on price. They were very professional and responsive. It took the the longest time to get a quote from them, approximately 2 weeks. I quoted 7-8 vendors and got estimates ranging from $6,300 to $13,759. Their quote was the one for $13,759. I would have them provide an estimate again in the future based on their professionalism and responsiveness.

Katie brought carpet samples to our home based on a conversation about what we wanted and needed. Her expertise enabled us to make selections we are happy with. Jim and Katie took every step to ensure the end result was great.

Process of choosing carpet was so much easier than going to a store and being overwhelmed with choices. Katie was professional, very helpful with choices and the whole process. Installers were prompt courteous and efficient, did a great job. Karie and Jim came to inspect the job right after completion and to make sure we were happy. I recommend them.

Very professional. Gave us options and pros and cons. This allowed us to make the right decision. Floor looks great.

First install was a train wreck. Chalk it up on bad contractor selection. Second install was excellent. Katie and Jim made it right and we're very responsive and transparent during the whole process. Even though it took two times to get it right it, I would still recommend their services.

Carpet looks great. I thought it took a LONG time for the carpet to come from manufacturer. It was hard to have carpet installed on a day I didn't have to work, so ultimately lost a day of work.
