Description of Work: Cleaned yard. They were not able to get the work done when I wanted at the time I purchased the service then could not do it later because of weather. They were to call back and reschedule but did not. I finally called them months later and was able to schedule service.

Description of Work: I need someone to provide lawncare/landscaping services at two addresses. We finally agreed on them provide services at only one of the addresses. The verbally quoted fee for the second address was too high. After hearing this, EMES foreman starting to negotiate with me for a lower price.."If you let us take care of today, it will only cost____." I did not agreed to that price so he then offered me an even lower price but I did not agreed to that price either. I am always suspicious when this approach is taken because I feel that I am being taken advantage of. Through out the process of getting the yard work completed, it took: several weeks, several phone calls, voicemail messages that were not responded to promptly and serveral emails. I questioned the amount owed on the invoice because I remembered it to be a different amount, based on our previous telephone conversations. I was informed that the amount of the invoice was correct. It was based on a verbal quote and then I was informed that they don't normally give a written estimate to a customers unless they ask for one. Clearly, I should have asked for one! On a previous phone call concerning their unfinished work at our home. I was told that I did not ask for the grass to be mowed but only landscaping therefore the price would be higher. Well, I assumed that mowing the grass was included in lawncare/landscaping but... Anyway, I had agreed to a price that I was told included mowing so there should not have been a reason for them to visit our home and not mow the grass. In summary, the whole process was a bit confusing and not very satisfying. I paid the bill so we can just move on. I only used EMES because of Angie's List. It was the primary reason I joined. I have no reason to continue my membership based on this experience.

Description of Work: This was a follow-up from services performed in July. In July I availed myself of an Angie's list deal for 8 hrs of landscaping service for $229. EMES performed the work which included edging flower beds and walkways, trimming shrubs, and removing a dead shrub and digging up the surrounding area. Although the work was completed I didn't think it was on par with prior work they had performed for me. Upon hearing that I was not entirely pleased with the quality of work performed in July, Jason promptly contacted me to see what could be done to correct the deficiencies. Although I had already addressed those issues myself, they offered to come out to help with some other work I now needed assistance with. They sent a crew out the next day to move some stones from one area of the yard to another and performed this work free of charge. Jason and Mike both came to check on the work and assured me that one or both of them would personally check on the quality of any future projects to make sure they were completed to my satisfaction. I appreciated the follow-up and discussed two other projects for them this fall. Jason and Mike truly seem interested in making sure their customers are pleased with their work and will make every effort to correct any perceived deficiencies. Nice job guys!

Description of Work: Weeding, mulch, application of weed product, removal poison in tree/plant trimming, elave/branch/plant removal, ivy trimming.

Description of Work: Yard work - trimmed overgrown boxwoods, edged flower beds, edged sidewalks, weeding. Addressed most of the tasks I had on my list, but not a lot of attention to detail and initially did not follow up on some work requested. After seeing my initial review Jason and Mike promptly followed up to see why I was not completely satisfied with the work. I explained the items that I thought were not up to par and they agreed to correct them or, in the alternative since I had already done so myself, perform some additional work free of charge and also offered a discount on a future job. They also assured me that Jason or Mike would personally check in on any future work they perform to make sure it is completed to my satisfaction. I used them for an additional job (relocating some some rocks from one area of the yard to another). Their crew showed up promptly and took care of it as requested. Jason and Mike both checked in to oversee the work. Used them last year for fall leaf removal-they did a nice job with that. Will have them do the leaves again this year and also to incorporate the rocks moved into some other areas of the landscape.

Description of Work: I needed help finishing landscaping and mulching. They sent a large crew and finished the job in record time. They were friendly and careful of the flowers in the beds already.
