I will say that they did a good job. The yard did look good when it was completed. Where I was disappointed was the price. We paid for an Angie's list coupon that was for 2 men at 4 hours each to totaling 8 hours of labor. The coupon was for $169. They showed up at my house with 5 men, all of who worked in the yard and got the work done in a little under 4 hours. However, after I left for work that morning, they told my husband who was home recovering from a major surgery he had just had, that they needed to charge us an extra $375.00 for the disposal of the leaves and to pay the additional 3 men he had brought along. None of this was mentioned when I purchased the coupon or when I scheduled it. He tried telling my husband that if he had not brought those additional people that they wouldn't have completed the work in the allotted time. I'm not upset about the job itself, I'm upset that he had never even seen the yard until that morning and I feel he could not have even known to bring that much help with him and that he always intended to make us pay for their time. I would rather they had been up front about it before they started. We would never had agreed to pay over $500 for leaf clean up. We will not be using them in the future and we have told our neighbors not to as well.

Everything was done as estimated. The edges of the beds were sloppy. I had to re-edge a couple of beds with a shovel to get them back into shape.

Overall, I was very satisfied. rompt and professional crew. Only beef was that they did not complete a couple of tasks we had discussed, but a simple phone call and the issue was very quickly resolved to my satisfaction.

Easy to work with and they exceeded expectations.

The Emes crew did an awesome job! We had them prep the flower beds and spread 10 cu yards of mulch. This is the second time we've had them on our property and both times they have been impressed us with the work and the price.

It went well, They were on time. I think the price could have been better.

They arrived promptly. Mike & I walked around the property. He made note of the things we wanted done. They were attentive to details, asked me questions when they were unsure, and worked fast--but thorough! I just have a big smile on my face each time I look out at our yard! My husband oversees the groundskeeping at our church. He asked me to pass their name and number on to the person in charge of overseeing landscaping-- he was that impressed! We will be using them again.

Everything went very well. They arrived on time and performed the tasks in a timely manner.

Gorgeous job - looks so much better. They put great care in the details, were very professional, friendly, and efficient. I'm looking forward to having Emes as my regular yard care provider.

Weird, very uneven experience. GOOD: They were responsive and helpful on the phone. They quoted a price in line with other providers. That, coupled with the Angies List deal they had, made me select them. They showed up to do the work on schedule. They did a nice job clearing and trimming in the front yard. They did a decent job on shrubs in the back yard. POOR: But they essentially ignored the back lawn, though the grass was over 1 foot long. When I called to complain, the explanation was "grass grows fast this time of year," even though I had pictures showing foot-long grass less than 48 hours after their visit. They did eventually go back, even did some additional tidying-up work not originally specified, and this time they did cut the grass...but left it lying in huge clumps all over the lawn, so the realtor was showing off piles of dead brown grass instead of green lawn. So, if you don't have any grass to cut as part of your job, these folks might be just fine. They do good work on shrubs and brush, are responsive via email and phone, charge a fair price, and show up and finish on time. But if you need the grass cut, get a neighbor kid to do it. And I would highly suggest that you only use them if you are able to supervise the work. UPDATED SUMMARY - In the end, the responsiveness and professionalism of the person answering the phone and doing the scheduling was enough to make up for most of the negatives. They completed the work (without charging me extra), and the end result was quite nice. Only marking them down from an A to a B because it took several attempts to get things straight, and the folks doing the actual work seemed to need very specific instructions in order to get through the job. Recommended for any job _if_ you can walk through it with them and do some basic supervision/review. Maybe not the best folks to use if you can't be on the property with them.

Last years service went well. So I chose to obtain their services this year do to health issues. The initial visit was great. The gentleman listened to my needs and made suggestions. He also said they would take care of something that I was not going to include, a large pile of dug up dirt in my back yard that the person that started the project last year never took care of what was left in my yard. He said that someone would come by later in the day to discuss the details of what I needed. At that time the person that came out was rude and condescending. The pile of dirt that I was not initially going to have them even deal with was definitely not something that he wanted his crew to have to deal with. I also had somewhat immediate grass cutting needs and had been told in the morning that this would be taken care of in the next few days. I was now told that the landscaping was booked out 1 1/2 weeks and that my grass would be cut when they came to do that. I wound up canceling any service and said that health issues or not I would deal with my yard myself/. I definitely would not recommend this company.

I purchased a deal from Angie's List for 8 hrs of work for $229.00. Mike came out to give me an estimate on cleaning up my yard. He gave me an estimate. I told him I purchased the deal from Angie's List. He recommended a few extra things to be done that would take me over the 8 hr purchase price, and the rate was so reasonable to add an extra 3 hrs of work, I agreed. The crew came out and got to work right away and they worked very hard. I appreciate the care they took in my yard and they all did a fantastic job. Would recommend Emes to others and will consider calling them again in the fall. Thank you!

As stated above they did the work and it took 1 hour, So far, we are very pleased with their work.

No services were done. They called me 3.5 hours after they were supposed to be there wanting to reschedule not first thing on Monday but over a week out. I am not happy at all. I will not use them again. I used them last year and they were okay. But this is uncalled for.

These guys are great. They called a few days before to schedule the service. When they showed up they were professional and courteous. The company brought a TON of helpers, so the three yards of mulch I originally ordered was down throughout the front yard in maybe 30 minutes? Then I liked how it looked so well I ordered another 3 yards on the spot for my back yard and they banged that out right away just as quick. They were like a whirlwind - in and out with 6 yards of mulch spread throughout my front and back yard in a little over an hour? It would have taken me an entire Saturday and destroyed my back to do the same job. It was money well spent. You have to pay for the mulch and delivery anyway - save yourself the hassle and hire these guys.

4 workers, one hour. Worked to remove as much English ivy as they could in one hour (4 men = 4 labor hours which was the big deal)

The guys did a great job so I bought another Angies list deal from them and will definitely use them again

Went very well. They all worked extremely hard and did a very thorough job. I originally purchased 4 labor hours for $169 but because of the fenced backyard it took extra time and money ($35 per labor hour) to blow leaves out of and over the fence into the woods. They forgot to unload their large tarps which would have made the job considerably easier and probably could have completed closer to 4 hours. Even so, I was please with work ethic. The approximate cost also included the tip

I originally scheduled the work to be done a week later. Emes called the next day to ask if they could come tomorrow (Wed). They arrived prepared to do any landscaping work asked of them. The work was done quickly and well. The yard looked great and all clippings and trash were hauled away. They were thorough and made suggestions for things I didn't think of.

They did a great job. They took longer than the 4 hours and was expensive. They were very thorough and polite.

It was fine. They sent 2-3 workers out to do the job. The scheduling was fine.

Not bad, it was ok. The thing I disliked was that it was 4 people for 2 hours not 8 hours. 2 people were fantastic and probably did 90% of the work. The other two were not good. If I could have gotten 8 hours out of the two guys that worked well I would have been ecstatic. Two people did most of the work but I got charged for 4 people.

Cut weeds on the top of the soil but this allowed the weeds to grow back. This didn't seem to work for what I was needing done. The employees were on time and courteous. It was easy to schedule an appointment.
