Description of Work: Craftsman Electric ran a line from a light fixture through my garage to a new timer to replace an old lamppost in my yard. The new lamppost had be wired in a completely different route. The estimator was very savvy about running the underground line around a tree to try to avoid the roots. They did a good job.

Description of Work: Replaced electrical panel & upgraded from 100 watt to 150 watt service, Installed new light and an outlet in the basement, installed new light fixtures in bedroom closets, corrected aluminum wiring connections in light switches & ceiling fixtures, electrical permit & inspection. Steve & his associate were very professional, friendly & courteous. Work was done properly, on schedule and great quality. I would recommend them to anyone anytime.

Description of Work: Solved a problem with photoelectric garage spotlights. Sam was just fantastic in narrowing down the issue by tracing all the wires in the basement to the outside. He discovered an photoelectric cell outside that was being blocked by tree branches. It's a condo unit so the people who knew about this have moved out and none of the current residents even knew about the cell. We cut the branches and Sam also fixed the power unit. All has been well since then. His service was great and I plan to use him/them again. So impressed.

Description of Work: Craftsmen installed a new post lamp, rerouted wiring for that lamp, put in an exterior all weather outlet and replaced two interior dimmers. The work was performed efficiently and professionally and with attention to detail. Both workmen who performed the job were pleasant and accommodating with respect to all my requests. Great job. Will use again.

Description of Work: Check a light fixture that was not working

Description of Work: We'd had two other companies out to trouble-shoot certain electrical problems; they made large estimates of what was needed -- one of them wanted to x-ray our entire house to study all our connections. New usage in our basement was giving a lot of trouble, but Craftsman felt we needed only some new circuits down there. We have them now and they work fine! For a few hundred dollars! Craftsman had helped us once before, and we'd forgotten how sensible they could be compared to other outfits.

Description of Work: I needed to have a newly purchased hot water heater re-wired, and decided to also have some other, minor but tedious electrical work done, including changing the batteries in 8 smoke detectors. The technician called as promised and arrived on-schedule. To his credit, he had stopped to pick-up batteries; a big time-saver as I had the wrong kind. Josh was efficient and tidy in his work. Re-wiring: check. Smoke Detector Battery Change-Out (including one unit that involved balancing on a ladder over a 3-story open stairwell): check. Removing Broken Bulbs from Two Appliances: check. Removing Bulbs from (a hard to reach) Outdoor Fixture: check. Re-calibrating an Auto Timer (and, bonus: replacing its missing face plate): check. In addition, he noticed and grounded a water line that a plumber had neglected. All in all, a positive experience and much accomplished in a quick two hours. Craftsman Electric will be my go-to source for future work.
