Closets by Design

Met with the designer, in our home, for a free estimate. He took measurements and then came back the following week with a layout he came up with. The closet is a very unusual shape and it was difficult coming up with a solution...but he did! One worker came out on the 4th of Oct. and completed the job in about 5 hours. We are quite pleased with the result...hanging space and shelves for shoes and folded items.

My experience has gone very well so far. The staff is very professional, helpful and knowledgeable in their field. The pricing for the quote is reasonable and I would recommend this company to others.

This pantry remodel project could not have gone any better. The designer, Kim, came to my house and spent two hours working with me to get the exact design that would meet some very specific needs. The installer, Anthony, was punctual, professional, very polite, and did excellent work. He was very careful, as he carried many large, heavy pieces of wood shelving into my home, not to bump my walls or ceiling. He was also mindful of my hardwood floors, protecting them as he worked. He was even really nice to both of my dogs! I am so thrilled with my new pantry, and the high-quality shelving and drawers give it such an "upscale" feel. I highly recommend this company.

I have a pretty big walk in closet that had just the metal/basic shelves and hangers. Keri went in the closet and measured everything very exact. Then she drew up 3 different floor plans for me. Keri also included my ideas in these plans. She also brought me ideas of all the types of finishes to choose from. I believe that 5 guys showed up the day of the remodel. They were able to get everything done all in one day! They were super tidy, and made sure that there was no mess left over. They came back a couple of times to re-fit a couple pieces to make it look more custom. They even had to work around a funky trap door that goes to my attic, and they even made that look very custom. Over all, the entire experience was absolutely awesome! I love it and they did such a nice job.

the consultant was late, blamed me for giving her incorrect directions (they were correct, she was not able to distinguish the difference from Lower _______ Rd and _________ Rd); was unkempt; brought a tic intom my home on her clothing (conculsion of the exterminator I paid to check and clear my home after the fact); only wanted to talk about sale materials (not the wood I wanted); delayed sending me a quote and then demanded I make a decision and send back a signed contract wihtin two hours to get a discount (despite the fact that I was out of town and told her I would be in advance). Needless to say, I chose another vendor who was not as highly rated on Angies List but did a fantastic job and was highly professional throughout the process. As an added bonus, the other vendor was less expensive.

helped design a closet system to replace the wire shelves. was very reasonable compared to pre-fab stuff you can buy at hardware stores. looks like a dept store shelf set up and built into the house.

We had remodeled our master bath and closet and wanted a thoughtfully planned closet instead the standard wire racks. We had a coupon from this company and we ultimately had them design two new closets. It was simple, fast and much easier than my husband figuring out off-the-shelf systems. We did not feel any pressure to buy shelving that was more expensive than we originally wanted, which I appreciate. The salesperson sat down and engaged in a discussion about our clothing and other items and what our needs were. We love the closets!

Kim from Closets by Design was very thorough. She gave a couple of options as to what she could do with the closets. Then she went back to her office and worked up the quote. It was very timely and she provided drawings and things like that. So it was well done.

I had used Closets by Design 3 years ago to make storage cupboards for our garage. There are none better. These are sleek but extremely sturdy cupboards capable of holding a lot of weight and a lot of items. We have a 4 car garage and my husband had it cluttered with so many tools, car stuff, motorcycle accessories, gardening tools, bird feed, pet food, potting supplies, you name it! I couldn't walk a straight path without having to step over everything and I was sick of it. I decided I was going to get the rest of the garage organized or at least looking organized. The workers who measured and installed the floor to ceiling cupboards were extremely knowledgeable, careful with the walls and floors, and left everything cleaner than when they started. The installers were prompt and courteous. Our garage looks like one of those in the HomeARAMAs. The shelves of the cupboards have aluminum edges and they are sturdy and won't warp. You really get what you pay for and with the discount coupons in the ValPac, you can save a great deal. We got a lot of beautiful, custom-made, sturdy cupboards for what we paid. We also had those wall organizers with the special hangers installed along 2 of the garage walls to hold rakes, shovels, etc. The cost of those individual special hangers and hooks are the reason I didn't give the price an A rating. They are kind of pricey and I couldn't find any hooks and hangers that are compatible with this system for less at the hardware stores or online. I would highly recommend these cupboards and this company. We are repeat customers and have been extremely happy both times. Our garage is over 1000 sq. ft. and we have had Closets by Design make cupboards for three walls now. I am so proud of our garage now.

I had contacted several closet designers but Theresa Slusher with Closets by Design was the most responsive. When I met with Theresa the first time I felt immediately at ease. She was friendly and professional. I told her what I wanted, she had a design within a week and the cost was better than I expected. The installation went smoothly and I am very pleased with my new and efficient closet.

Great experience with CBD. Sharon came out to our house and assessed our non-functional closets that we had in our master bedroom and attached sitting room. She listened to our needs, and budget, and then drew up designs for the two closets and a pantry in the kitchen by the following day. The designs that she created needed minimal adjustments and what I really appreciated was the fact that she never tried to up-sell us anything. She really listened to our needs and made suggestions on how to cut costs in certain areas yet still have a great closet. The installation process was just as smooth- somebody came out to our house to re-measure before the install (again a small tweak had to be made, but better to find out then instead of the day of), and the day of the install things ran smooth. The installers consulted my husband and myself as to where a couple various items should be installed per our instructions, and everything was installed correctly the first time (including hardware, jewelry inserts, a slat-wall board). I would definitely use CBD again for future house projects. My husband and I are very pleased.

The sales person was professional, friendly, and made several relevant suggestions, some of which we took. The installers were courteous, clean, and fast. The job was so well done that we had CBD come out and design/install for a reach-in closet and our laundry room (about two weeks after the above date and adding about $1,000 to the total). All were done superbly. I would highly recommend them. Price was comparable to us going to a home improvement store and buying materials to build it our self, particularly if you count my labor as a cost.

I am very pleased with the outcome. I love the closets. Our consultant was informative and helpful with suggestions. The installers were on time listen to what input I had and asked questions before making a choice for me. I thought the paper work to order the closet was ridiculous - felt like I was buying a house literally. Besides the stupid contract on every closet, drawer, tie rack ect... it was so worth it and would highly refer.

They came on time, they were clean, they explained everything to me, they answered all my questions and cleaned up after themselves. My sales person was attentive, checked the work when completed and made sure I was happy.
